We agreed to meet at my house after work. When I arrived home, he was already there and had already inspected and diagnosed the cause of the leak. He explained very clearly to me the problem and how he would correct it. He said the leak was caused by ice buildup. He showed me samples of the material he would use and explained to me the process. His estimate was very reasonable. I would definitely do business with him again.

Bradley Arensberg came out and and examined the roof and spoke to me in length about it and answered questions. He showed me some sample shingles and looked in the attic. He impressed me with his detailed and thorough knowledge of the roofing system. I found him intimidating on the first visit but on subsequent visits he was not, perhaps because he realized I had studied up on roofing systems. He came out on two subsequent occasions and also offerend to go up into the unfinished attic via ladder and examine the roof from the inside. He was very helpful and informative. He seemed glad to answer my questions, and not at all impatient. He gave me addresses of work he had done so I could see some different types of shingles and shingle colors on actual roofs. He suggested several optional extras: replacing the lead covering of the electrical power stack with a new material and putting a cap on the chimney. Neither of the other two contractors mentioned replacing the covering on the electrical power stack, but one other did suggest putting on the chimney cap. I felt the work Bradley suggested was a little more perfection than I needed on my older home, especially the electric power stack part. On the other hand, he proposed fewer new soffit vents than the other companies did and after looking into the roof ventilation issue I believe his was the correct view and recommendation as well as costing slightly less. His bid was slightly lower than that the company that I chose to do the work. Were it not for the strong established reputation as well as a personal testimonial, from an acquaintance about another company I would probably have chosen Bradley Builders for this job. I would give the company an A in all relevant categories.

The job went well from start to finish. It took seven days to complete. Most days they worked from early morning until 6 or 6:30 pm. They had to work around several days of intermittent rain. Each day they cleaned the areas meticulously, leaving the garage and the driveway at the end of the job much cleaner and neater than they had been before the work had begun. They were extra careful in protecting the planted areas around the house. Again, I recommend Bradley Builders highly in their work process and in the final product.

Brad replaced the roof on our house last year and replaced windows for us this spring. When the roof on my second house was damaged by wind, I immediately called Brad again. He helped negotiate with the insurance adjuster and did a terrific job on the roof replacement. He is very attentive to details, wanting to be sure everything is done right. It's nice to deal with someone who cares so much about the work he does and at a very competitive price.

Upon our initial meeting, Brad provided us with the most thorough inspection of our roofing situation, including not only the exterior of our home, but from inside the attic as well. As he did the walk-through, he noted potential trouble-spots (such as the faulty direction of a downspout) and then provided us with an educational explanation of the work that would be required- - just the facts, no high-pressure or condescending sales pitch. We received estimates from 4 other top A-rated Angie's List members, and Brad's was several hundred dollars below most and offered the best value for the price. Once we hired him, he was able to get our project underway the following week. His workers were friendly and courteous, and mostly went about their business. Brad was very hands-on and at the job-site daily, not only supervising the crew, but working right along with them for several hours. At the time of the estimate, he expected the job to take possibly 5 days, but they were able to complete it in 4. Throughout the project, he was very approachable and conscious of the well-being of our two small children. He provided regular updates, treated our home with respect as he would his own and even offered solutions for other non-roofing maintenance issues, as well as referrals to other trust-worthy contractors. Upon completion, he provided a final inspection, explained the necessary repairs, and did a very thorough clean up, leaving zero evidence of any debris. Brad is an honest contractor with a lot of integrity, who clearly takes pride in his work and is also highly regarded by other local roofing contractors. He well exceeded our expectations, and we are very happy with our new roof.

It went completely according to plan, except for finding more plywood water damage, which is always a potential extra cost.

We chose Brad to do our windows because we were so pleased with him and his company when they replaced our roof last year. We had estimates from four companies and Brad's prices were very competitive. The windows he uses are Simonton, which I had purchased for another house ten years ago and have been very pleased with. Brad was very prompt when an estimate was requested and he was able to schedule the installation fairly quickly also. The installers replaced all the windows in one day and returned the following day to complete the outside trim and caulking for the windows. Everyone seemed very eager to please and everything was cleaned up well when the job was finished. We think working with a smaller company give the personal attention that is sometimes missing with larger companies. We couldn't be happier with our new windows and would recommend Bradley Builders to anyone considering window replacement.

They were very professional. They are the company I recommend to other people. You can't beat them. In addition to repairing the roof, he gave me good advice on attic air circulation.

Brad met with us at our home to discuss roofing options and best practices. He looked in the attic on the first day and took us on a walk-around to discuss some issues from ground level. He came back on a 2nd visit to walk the roof and take pictures. A couple days later we received a detailed proposal with pictures attached.

The contractor came daily, worked all day and cleaned up each day. When complete, they left a very excellent roof behind.

We could not have been more pleased with the work done on this job. Brad, owner of Bradley Builders, made sure we knew exactly what we were getting into. He explained our options in detail, sent us out to see several roofs that he had done that would be examples of the roof colors we were considering, sent us to a warehouse to see different roofing materials in large sizes rather than just in a sample brochure. Brad was always punctual, the work was done with great care and precision. The job was not started until all of the supplies were in and then it only took about a week to finish. Care was taken to cover all gardens and the clean-up was very thorough. Everyone helping with the job was very professional. The job was extremely well done, we could not have been more pleased.

Bradley Builders is an excellent company--very professional, very thorough. We received estimates from 3 conractors--Bradley Builders was the most thorough, complete estimate of the three. We have a very old house (built in the 1940's); he took time to explain the need for added ventilation; explained the pros & cons of a rubber roof vs. shingled roof for our porch, due to the slope of that roof & drainage considerations. We only had 2 vents in our roof and they were not aligned. When he & his crew completed the work, we had 4 aligned vents on the house & 2 on our garage. When he & his crew removed the old roof, they found inadequate nailing of the boards, and took time to nail those correctly. My husband and I greatly appreciated his thorough explanations of roof ventilations, roof sloping, etc--we had a much better understanding of what was needed and why. We were able to use this information in asking questions to the other contractors when they were writing their estimates. His cost is very competitive, his staff courteous and professional. We were very happy with their work.

We were very pleased with Bradley Builders from start to finish. Brad came to give us an estimate and explained things very thoroughly but with no pressure. When the job was done, we chose to have insulation done by another company and Brad coordinated it so that they had access through the roof (the easiest access for our house) in the midst of the roofing project when it was convenient to all. It was all handled with minimal interference to us and our schedules. The workers were all pleasant and helpful to deal with and Brad was here working with his employees or checking on their work every day. We were very pleased with the final result and would definitely recommend Brad and his company to any one considering a new roof.

We had called Bradley Builders to our house over 5 years ago as we believed we were due for a new roof on our house. The owner, Brad Arensberg, inspected our roof and informed us there were still several years of life left and it was not necessary to replace it yet. He won us over right there with his honesty. We asked for a quote anyway so that we would have an idea of the cost. He prepared a full quote even though he knew we were not going to have the work done that year. A few years later, some shingles blew off. We called again, thinking it was time. Brad came out, fixed the immediate problem, said it was just due to some rusty nails; again, the roof had a couple years of life. Finally, in 2010, it was time. Brad requoted it and set the estimated date. Work started ahead of schedule and proceeded as planned. The job site was cleaned up daily, including sweeping the driveway to prevent nail punctures. Brad was on the site daily, monitoring the workers (and doing work himself) to ensure a quality job. We were given frequent updates of the progress. Care was taken to do as little damage as possible to surrounding plantings. As additional issues were found (the house is over 50 years old), they were reported to us, repairs discussed and quoted, and taken care of. We were very pleased with the work, both during and after. We would strongly recommend Bradley Builders for roofing jobs.

I knew the 25+ year-old roof on my house would need to be replaced when I bought the house. I had several roofers out to give estimates, but Brad was the only one to notice and/or point out that my 120-year-old home still had the original decking and should be updated. He took the time to walk me through all the unusual circumstances of my wonky old house, my 45-degree pitched roof, a few places where the framing needed repair, etc. On top of that, he was completely willing to work with me directly (rather than trying to talk to my husband, who couldn't care less about home repair) and didn't treat me like I needed extra hand-holding just because I'm a woman. Once we started work, he took care of all the paperwork with the city and my neighborhood historical commission so I didn't have to fuss with it. Brad was very careful to warn me when things might cost more than normal, and was honest when those possible expenses turned out to be unnecessary. He even went a few extra yards - taking the time to repair a gutter and some of the framing over my porch when he could have just covered it up with me none the wiser. The job was right on schedule, the workers were very polite, and they did a great job of cleaning up when they were finished. Brad took the time to follow up with me and make sure I knew that he would stand by his work in the future if there were any problems. The new roof looks great!

I thought the company owner was very professional and considerate. He did everything with respect to the estimate that we expected. I hope we won't need a new roof for a while but I would not hesitate to use this company.

Brad began by inspecting our roof, explaining the process in detail, and the time it would take as well as providing a cost estimate of the job. He recommended a person to do needed chimney repair before the roofing started and also gave us addresses of roofs to look at before we chose shingles so that we could see them installed on an actual roof. We couldn't have asked for better communication throughout the project, and we would definitely recommend and hire Bradley Builders again.

Brad showed up to give us a bid on time. He treated us respectfully and as a partner in the process. We discussed the work needed before, during and after the process. Brad and his crew removed the old shingles, repaired some sections of wood, and installed new flashing, underlayment, ice gaurd and shingles as discussed. We (and our property) were treated with respect. They cleaned up every day, and restacked materials out of our way. They made sure all of the tear off materials were cleaned up each day. During the bid process, Brad's approach was the most professional of the companies that we obtained quotes from. We highly recommend this company if you are considering doing work with them. Their work quality is excellent and they are price competitive. We had a great experience.

Perfect. After coming over to look at the job I had a quote within a few days and about 1 1/2 weeks later my new gutters and downspouts were installed and everything was cleaned up. Brad installed my roof in the spring. He does wonderful work. I tell everyone he's the "Holmes" of roofers.

I am a single woman and am very hard to please. I don?t like to be talked down to. He took so much time and patience with the questions I had. He did make any of questions seem like I was just a woman. His professionalism was good. He was just great all the way through. He was a little bit more than some of the estimates, but I got so much of it.

Brad made the entire project go smoothly. He offered suggestions and advice to help us make wise decisions about materials. He also brought structural concerns to our attention that, if not addressed, would have lessened the quality of the installation. His crew left the yard clean when they were finished---no punctured car tires from nails in the driveway. Brad was extremely patient with the numerous questions that we had before the project started and as it progressed. My wife and I commented to ourselves half-way through that we knew we had made the right choice.

Brad gave us an extensive explanation of our options in roof replacement, made an estimate within the parameters of the insurance adjuster's estimate, told us when he would be able to do the work, showed up at that time, and then did the work extremely well. He did everything he said they would do and the result is beautiful. Moreover, he and his employees were polite and professional.

From start to finish, Bradley was professional and very detail-oriented. His contract was very specific and was totally fulfilled. He was by far the lowest bid I received and the most detailed. He left daily updates on my answering machine so I knew where the job stood. I have new landscaping and none was damaged. I would recommend him to anyone.

Brad was very professional and responsive. I contacted Brad via Angies List along with 2 other roofing companies. Brad responded within 24 hrs and we set up an appointment that was conducive to my schedule. Brad sat with me and my husband to go over our needs and wants. Once that was established, Brad talked about some options and what he had to offer. He then looked at our roof, ventilation, attic, and took measurements. In about 2-3 days Brad emailed us his estimate and proposal. Brad also dropped off samples of shingles and emailed us houses that he had completed work on with the shingle color we were interested in. He also suggested we go the warehouse and take a look at the shingles. We discussed our ventilation options being we were given varying opinions from the other roofing companies to determine what was best for our house. We decided to go with Bradley Roofing. He was about 2-3 weeks out. Brad called the week before he was coming and then again the day before. He went over what they were going to be doing first and what he was personally doing. Brad did the metal around our chimney and helped with the ventilation part. His crew has been with him for 10+ years. They were all very polite and professional. Brad addressed all details for a new roof including painting some polls that were sticking out of our roof. They took there time and made sure all was done right. Brad replaced wood when necessary and re nailed down wood that was incorrect. He also offered us to use the dumpster if there was anything we wanted to get rid of. Once the job was finished, there was no trace that they were there. Brad then mailed the final invoice. He is also experienced in working with Insurance companies. Our roof looks fantastic and I would recommend him.

Roof installation was actually several years ago. Job was done well. What has been impressive, though, is Brad's response since then to two inquiries we had regarding some water issues in our 60 + year-old house. Neither turned out to be roof-related, but Brad was very helpful in helping us think through the problems and directing us to quality contractors. He thinks long-term about customer service, something quite rare, and it was very much appreciated.
