Amazing. I'm particular and was leery of having anyone do the job - our house is on a small lot, landscaped, and I was worried that things would be disturbed from the construction (hauling away of old, heavy roof, debris, etc.). Trust me, we totally challenged Brad - this man is conscientious, could see our hesitation, but he was creative, self assured, and came up with a solution that left our yard in tact! Of course, the roof is beautiful, the work AMAZING, but the care and attention given, the pride in the work performed sets the bar for all contractors. Love Brad, wish he could take care of all our house needs. He also did some amazing work around the chimney flashing.

It went very well. Brad replaced the ridgecaps and repaired several other ridge caps that were loose. He also recaulked and painted the furnace vent on the roof. He arrived on time and was very professional. I would definitly hire Brad again.

Timely- I had 2 other roofers attempt to fix in last 5 years- He is the first person to truly fix the issue. Great Hire.

Jim responded quickly during a very busy time (recent tornado in the area). He worked with me to get the damage assessed and the estimate written. Then Brad came out on the weekend to take measurements and prep for the job. He and his crew arrived early Monday to replace the roof and got to work right away. They were finished by 2:30 in the afternoon and completely cleaned up the job site after. Both gentlemen and their crew were a pleasure to work with from start to finish and the roof looks amazing! Would highly recommend Bradley Builders to anyone!

Very happy with the results. Brad communicated well, and in great detail, so I knew exactly what to expect. He helped give me pointers for picking out the new skylight, and he installed it in a few hours with no issues. This is the second time I've used Bradley Builders in the last couple months, and they've exceeded expectations each time.

Brad is punctual, very organized, and is a true professional who knows his craft very well. I've had him and his associate patch a dormer roof on short notice, install a rubber roof, and make minor repairs. When we needed to get into the schedule quickly (for water intrusion), he responded accordingly. Great company.

Brad was very considerate and was extremely easy to work with. He thoroughly understood what was needed for the job, provided a general estimate and then came in under the estimate. His workmanship is excellent and he knows how to solve many roofing issues and concerns.

Brad is very knowledgeable and explains the process of what he will do and how he works. He was great at explaining what was going on with the leak and the repair. He was punctual and was able to help us get the leak fixed much faster than other service providers. We appreciate Brad's hard work and would hire him again if our roof needed any work.

After a few rain storms there is no longer any rainwater leaking into our sunroom. Brad was very professional and thoroughly explained what he'd be doing and how. Highly recommended.

I did not know if I needed a new roof or just some repairs. I had past leakage around the chimney and recent leakage around skylight. I called Brad Arensberg based on reviews I had read on Angie's List. Brad wanted to discuss the details of my situation over the phone before he made any suggestions. Bradley Builders is a small company and does not have a full-time sales rep to visit every request for an estimate. That is actually a good thing, because such sales reps are often paid for the contracts they procure, and, from my past experience, sales reps will try to sell you something that you do not actually need. I could tell from my initial telephone conversation with Brad that he was very dedicated to his profession and not wanting to waste his valuable time on dead-end requests. Brad was able to view my home and my roof via the Internet as we discussed my concerns. After discussing my situation rather thoroughly with Brad on the phone, he told me that he did not think that I needed a new roof, but perhaps some repairs around the skylight. He informed me that he does not give free on-site estimates, but rather gives estimates over the phone based on conversation and visual observation on the Web. I was comfortable with that, as he states that on his main page profile on Angie's List. Brad said he would come out to actually work on the skylight and the estimate of that work would be $150. I agreed. Brad was able to visit me a few days later. I spent time with Brad on my roof, looking over the skylight, the chimney, and the overall health of the shingles. As he demonstrated to me, some of the screws on the frame of my skylight were no longer grabbing the wood framing, and thus the metal framing on the skylight was loose. There was also a section that lacked metal flashing. And none of the screws or nailed areas were caulked. Brad replaced the various screws with screws that grabbed the wood frame. He caulked all the screws, as well as along the edges of the window and the frame. And he added flashing to the section that was missing. Brad also caulked other nailed/screwed areas on the roof, both around the chimney and on the roof vents. I found Brad to be very meticulous and professional. He was also very personable. He gave me a referral in the event that I should need my chimney capped. I would hire Brad again in a heartbeat.

I could not be more satisfied with Brad's work and his ethics! I would definitely recommend him and would hire him again if I ever have further issues.

This project was an unexpected project as most are. It started with a tree falling on our house during a storm which damaged a large portion of our roof. Brad was able to come see the damage, very promptly, on our house and temporarily secure parts of the roof so rain would not get in to the house. You can tell by the way Brad talks about the project that he has does his homework and stays current on industry standards and practices. He applies his years of knowledge to his work and then some. We appreciated his attention to detail. I would highly recommend his services to others.

Couldn't be happier with the entire transaction. Brad explained ahead of time, over the phone, what he expected the problem to be, and he knew exactly what it was. Within a couple weeks he came out, finished the repair within a couple hours, and charged a very reasonable price. I've already made plans to hire him again for our next roofing project (a skylight) and I highly recommend him.

Learned about this company on recommendation from my neighbor. Couldn’t be more pleased with Brad and his team. Very professional and extremely responsive. He arrived exactly when he said he would and worked to fit our job into his schedule while battling our crazy weather. The chimney flashing looks 100% better, aesthetically pleasing and sound craftsmanship. The work was done promptly as well. No complaints. Plan on having him back to create a cap for the chimney. Will definitely call Bradley Builders for future projects.

Brad is a true craftsman. He took a thoughtful, engineer-like approach to even the relatively straightforward work I needed done on my roof. The end results were, without a doubt, perfectly executed, and look great. I would not hesitate to hire him again, and have recommended him to others in my neighborhood. Brad came first to our house a few years ago when I asked him for a quote to replace the roofs on the house and carport. He fixed a couple of leaks for free and advised me to wait for a few years before getting new roofs. Last spring we had another leak, so I called Brad again to replace the roofs. His expert opinion was that we should fix the leak and wait a couple more years. However, we insisted to have the roofs replaced because we were considering selling the house. From start to finish the project went without a hitch. Brad met us on a Saturday at our house , looked over everything and spelled out the options. He answered our questions clearly and simply. The price was reasonable. After that meeting I took some time to get other quotes and educate myself a little on roofing. I had a follow-up call with Brad who answered all my remaining questions. Then the installation day came, right before the 4th of July. Everything that was promised was delivered. The entire crew was very professional and worked very hard. They installed both roofs in one day and picked up after themselves like forensic experts, under Brad's supervision. You couldn't tell anyone was there except we got new roofs. I highly recommend Bradley Builders. I would choose this company again without hesitation if only for one reason: Brad's sincere desire to do things right.

I called at 10:30am and left a voicemail. I received a call back at 5:30. I’ll be honest and just say brad’s style was off putting to me. That aside, after I explained the issue, he spoke at length about my type of fireplace (based on looking at my house online) and the likelihood I just need to call a mason. OR, he could come out and look at it for a charge. Just tell me that you charge X amount to assess and that’s all I need to know. There’s plenty of other companies that will come out and give me a free estimate as to whether any roofing repairs need to be made. Thanks anyways. I don’t need a wild guess on the issue. Very strange. I received a letter in the mail from the owner after submitting my (not so favorable) review. It was a printout of his Angie's List profile and he highlighted the last sentence of his company profile which states "Phone estimates for roof repairs and small jobs. Minimum repair $300." A+ on the passive aggressive move. I would like to make a few additional comments: 1. If a person has water coming through their ceiling, and they type "roof repair" into Angie's List, they MIGHT be assuming that the results are relevant and not read through an entire company profile. It might be worth 5 seconds of your time to remind said person of this policy when they call. And avoid misunderstandings all around. Because a person with "roof repairs and small jobs" might not want to take the gamble that their issue can be guessed over the phone and stuck with $300 no matter what. 2. Personally, I think it's absurd to think that you diagnose whether an issue is "small" over the phone, but if this owner thinks he can, well... he can run his company however he wants. If the purpose is just to not take these types of jobs, well, that's a different matter. And probably effective. 3. My main critique (other than personality), was simply that I was not looking to chat on the phone with someone about what "might" be wrong with my roof. And, someone else in my shoes might feel the same. This felt like relevant information to share on Angie's List. Ultimately, after meeting with several other companies that actually came out to my house to lay actual eyes on my roof--- I am getting an entire new roof. I guess the over the phone diagnosis isn't always that accurate.

Brad was very easy to work with and his crew was very nice. They began the work on the date promised and arrived early each morning . Brad did a great job on our flat roof. He is a true expert and we no loner have a leak.

Brad was straightforward and transparent over the phone. This is much preferred to "beating around the bush" by other contractors. Brad doesn't give estimates - hourly rate plus materials. Another good sign to me. Came out and did work promptly and efficiently. Knows his stuff and is trustworthy. Had others come out to estimate -- one didn't even inspect and quoted $3K!? Another inspected but didn't send estimate. Would hire Brad and his crew again in an instant.

Bradley Builders is outstanding! They came into my project midway through after a mason company had been working on the chimney, and three other Angie's List well rated roofing companies had given me inaccurate information in the estimating process. My initial contact with Brad Arensberg, owner of Bradley Builders was after I was already upset and confused by other contractors and in the midst of a repair project that was skyrocketing in price and undone in late November with the worry that winter would set in while my chimney and roof were still a mess. I have a 1950s house with a structural stone chimney (stone stacked on stone supported by the one below) and the other roofers had written estimates with descriptions related to a manufactured stone chimney (a chimney wall built out of concrete block with thinner pieces of stone veneer glued on). And one of the roofers I didn't hire had actually suggested I tear down the chimney I'd just paid $3,000 to fix, and then hire an additional company that they work with to build a new $5,000 chimney with concrete block wall and stone veneer, and then pay the estimating roofer $862 to do flashing on the new chimney once I had something current they understood. So I was very happy to find Bradley Builders and a reasonable proposal. My first call with Brad was reassuring and very informative. The inability to understand the project by the other roofing companies had created a lot of confusion with the mason company and had left me with estimates that were inaccurate and asking my mason to do things that could not be done. Brad immediately understood what type of chimney I had and was familiar with what needed to be done. Brad gave me information on their hourly rates, the schedule for starting the project and what was required. All of this was completed exactly as set forth in the initial conversation. Brad spoke with the mason and gave him guidance on getting his part of the chimney project finished. Brad and his employee arrived on time on the day they said they were coming. When the mason did some counter flashing work that all parties involved had previously agreed was supposed to be done by Bradley Builders, Brad re-arranged his schedule last minute by a day so that he could come out personally and work on fixing what the mason had done. Brad and his employee were at my house the majority of a day. The cost for labor and materials was $770. Brad took time at the end to show me photos and using a book on roofing explain exactly what Bradley Builders had done (and what was slightly less than ideal do to the mason's doing part of the flashing that he was not supposed to do). I would absolutely hire this company again.

He exceeded my expectations, and the price was very fair. Couldn't recommend him any more highly.

Excellent. We had three contractors look at our roof to assess what action was needed to stop some leaks. We chose Bradley Builders as they gave us the most straight forward opinion, they didn't try to sell us a new roof when repairs would work. They then completed those repairs for a reasonable price and to our complete satisfaction. I would highly recommend them for any roofing project.
