I was surprised to learn the sweeper was ready the same day.

Both of our bedside lamps' switches stopped functioning at the same time. The electrical repair desk at ACE fixed them within a couple hours of drop off. We really like that ACE in general; very friendly and helpful.

After I got a phone call that my lamps were ready, I drove to the store to the store again and found my lamps sitting at the cashier's counter and the man who did the actual work on my lamps appeared and told me all I had to do was touch the pole of the lamp for on/off/dimmer. He told me they were all ready to go. I drove home home again, plugged the lamps in and they didn't work. So I loaded the 2 lamps in my car again and headed back to the store. Fortunately, the 2 men I had dealt with earlier in the day were gone and there was a young man who actually was very nice and helpful. After some investigation on his part, he discovered that the problem wasn't the switch but was the socket. It was bad and couldn't be replaced. I got a refund of my money and his deepest apologies but still doesn't erase the fact that I was sent home, after 4 trips to the store occurring over 6-7 hours, after initially being charged for work that should never have been done and that the initial repairman told me they ready to go when, in fact, they didn't work at all.

This group was very helpful from the first phone call. They instructed me to bring the appliance in and they would tag it, take a look at the problem, and let me know of the outcome. I was anticipating that they might have it for 2 weeks. They called me the same afternoon with my appliance fixed and ready to pick up. The cost was reasonable. I would definitely recommend this business.

honestly don'tWe hadn't used our mower for a few years because we hired someone else to cut our lawn. This year we decided to start doing ourselves again. I can't honestly remember what they charged, but they took the mower and had it done a few hours later the same day. When we went to pick it up, we started it up in the parking lot and discovered a fuel line leak. They replaced that for us for a nominal charge. Overall, it was a great experience.

If what you're looking for is hard to find, chances are they will have it or know where to get it, or give you an alternative. And their prices are the best in town.

I melted the cord on my space heater. My wife thought we needed to buy a brand new unit but I wanted to see if it could be repaired first. I called Beechwold Ace Hardware and they said they could probably fix the cord for less than $20. I brought it over and they fixed it on the spot -- all on the same day and all for a grand total of only $8. I think they were disappointed I purchased my space heater somewhere else, but given the friendly, cheap, professional service I received at Beechwold I will think twice about going to a big-name hardware store ever again. The space heater seems to be working as good as new and I am shocked by how cheap the repair was. UPDATE: The repair worked for awhile but then the connection came loose and stopped working. I returned to Beechwold and they spent a lot of time and effort trying to figure out how to fix it. They finally did -- FREE OF CHARGE. And the space hearter seems to again be working just fine. The folks at Beechwold Hardware are class acts who earn any praise they receive.

They did a very good job. It was so much more affordable to bring in my shade and get it fixed there than having a handyman out, who may or may not have had the skills to do the job. Very accessible to phone and talk to. Nice neighborhood location.

We had a hard time finding someplace/someone who would re-screen our windows, but found that Beechwold Hardware does. We dropped off he windows and were pleased to be immediately greeted by their associates who were very knowledgeable and able to answer any question we needed. The rescreening was done quickly and effectively at a great price! Overall, great customer service experience!! We lean towards them now whenever we have any hardware needs because of their knowledgeable and helpful associates.

They are really professional. They are fast at getting everything done. I have had screens fit there before. I dropped it off and they repaired it by the next morning. It was a total of 3 screens. They are a little pricey.

I have used Beechwold Ace Hardware and they were great. It was very inexpensive. It was $20 for each, total of $40. It's good to be family ran, they're very friendly, extremely quick; I think they had both lamps repaired within 24 hours. I was surprised at how fast they were done, they were nice and friendly when I came in to pick up the lamps, they offered to help me with any other purchases, I was just very impressed with them.

This store provides the best service that I have experienced at a hardware store. They do not have the selection that the large hardware stores do, but they are very knowledgeable and helpful.

very pleased - prompt and much less than expected

As first time home owners we make mistakes, like the time my hubby left gas in the lawn mower over winter, then tried to get it started with more old gasoline. I discovered Beechwold Hardware repaired lawn mowers, so I called them in the AM and they said to bring it in and they could have it done by the weekend. I dropped it off at 9am on Thursday. They helped me move it from the car, wrote down my info and I left. They called at 2pm saying it was fixed and it didn't need tuned up, just cleaned up a bit. They did suggest sharpening the blade, which I told them to do. I picked it up the next day and they again helped me put it in the car. I was very happy the problem was solved for less than $30! Definitely recommend!

We went to a different mower repair shop who gave us incorrect diagnosis and rude service. Called Beechwold hardware last night, had a very nice conversation and brought our mower in the next morning. A tune up and lube was all we needed. Prompt. Courteous. Honest. We will be back!

We called the store first to see if they even did such light fixture repairs. When they told us they did, I disconnected the fixtures from the wall and we brought them to Beechwold Hardware. Malcom looked at what we were trying to get fixed and shared multiple options that the store could do to fix them. One of them included adding new functionality to these dual-light fixtures whereby one could simply touch the fixture to turn the overhead light on, and then limit the switch to controlling only the reading spotlight available on each of the lights. We requested this "deluxe" fix and have not been disappointed. The work was done on time, no damage or scratches to the bronze finish. And the functionality is simply wonderful! Not a night goes by when we turn the lights on or off that we don't thank Beechwold Hardware for their work.

Dropped off the lawnmower at the store, they said it would be done in 2 days, but actually only took a day. Easy pickup and they had it waiting outside at my car before I could even finish paying.
