The man that came out was nice and did get back to us with a quote for the work but he did not have the software to do the 3D plans. So we never got the 3D plans which was very disappointing.

I'm a Realtor who hired Bill to remove a satellite dish from the roof of a client's home. Billl answered my call personally and was able to do the job the same day. He was quick, prompt, and did a fine job at a reasonable price. I plan to call him again the next time I need something.

It was a custom job for a unique situation. He did a great job. I couldn't be happier. He asked my opinion on a couple of things while working on it and definitely wanted to make sure I was happy with the end product. He's a good guy and would definitely use him for future projects.

Bill Igel does phenomenal work. He is a true craftsman - a rarity nowadays. Everything he does, he does exceptionally well! When I saw the outstanding quality of his work I learned he used to build deluxe high-end homes until our economy "tanked" several years ago. My friend, an architect, stopped by to see Bill's wonderful work. He and Bill used building jargon and terminology as they were discussing the structural integrity of a second wall Bill suggested we remove in my home. My architect friend (who works for a very large and respected corporation in Columbus), was singularly impressed with Bill's knowledge and expertise. The wall was removed. Mr. Igel's idea was awesome! Not only is Bill Igel a diligent worker, but he is an intelligent diligent worker. He holds an engineering degree. That he loves the challenge of making remodeling decisions and working with very high standards is evident in seeing his finished product! I am very excited about how all his work turned out. I am also excited to have met him! Bill showed up on time and did not even stop to eat lunch. His work ethic is highly commendable. I became acquainted with Bill because I purchased a "Big Deal" coupon for handyman work on Angie's List. I will continue to use his services for additional remodeling work. If you have any type of 'handyman' work that needs to be done with excellence and expertise, I strongly urge you to call Bill Igel. You will NOT be disappointed. I give him my very highest recommendation.

I called Bill for a rough estimate for the work I needed done. He gave me a quote right over the phone. I decided to go ahead and work with him. He was able to schedule me in within a week. He called the evening before to confirm that we were still on for him to complete the work I asked him to. The next morning he also let me know 30 minutes before hand that he was headed over to my house. He arrived on time. I showed him what needed to be done. He started working on it immediately. He had all the tools that would be needed for the job. Bill managed to install 5 new faucets and hang the bathroom mirror in under 3 hours. The reason I replaced the kitchen faucet it because I had 3 different plumbers come by to inspect a leak under my kitchen sink. They all surprisingly could not pin point the leak but all suggested it could be the kitchen faucet on top of the sink letting water on the counter drip below. Well a couple days later after Bill replaced the kitchen faucet, I noticed that I still had the leak (obviously not Bill's fault, as it was pre-existing). However this time I was able to better pin point the leak and it was my hot water pipe going to the dishwasher. I called BIll up and he came the same day to check out the leak. Naturally when he showed up the leak was not presenting itself. However we turned on all the hot water and ran the dishwasher and after about 15 minutes under the sink, sure enough the water started to drip. Bill was very honest, he said he could repair the leak himself but it would cost me more money as he would have to run out to the hardware store and get the parts and come back and fix the leak. Or he could call up a plumber contact of his who would be cheaper as he carries all the parts and have him get the work done. Well money doesn't grow on trees so naturally I had his plumber contact do the work for me. Bill got in touch with him on my behalf and explained the nature of the problem to him and the next day the plumber showed up and did the work just as well as Bill would have. And no more leak! And after Bill completed all of the work, he charged me exactly what he quoted. No surprises. I would highly recommend Bill and I will definitely be using him again.

I had two companies come and give an estimate. Bill was able to tell me what had caused the wear on the wall (wrongly placed gutter), and the other guy didn't mention anything about it. Bill's cost was also about half the cost of the other company. We were in a tough position as it was an urgent need and we didn't have a lot of money, but Bill was willing to work with us and get the job done even as the weather was getting really cold. We didn't spend any extra money on anything cosmetic, but Bill went ahead and put on siding to the wall so that it looked nice and he paid for it out of his pocket. He said he couldn't leave a job unfinished. We will call him again!

Bill is great to work with. He actually went to Home Depot and purchased the fixture for me, took down the broken one and installed the new one. He changed the hinges on the door so that it could be closed without needing to slam it. Twice he got delayed on a previous job and arrived later than we had arranged but I would definitely hire him again.

Bill is easy to work with and very friendly. He came to look at the jobs and was flexible and easy to schedule with. When I was uncertain about what type of fixture to get, etc. He was helpful in describing what the options were, and even did some research for me at the hardware store & texted prices and pictures of products to me. I was happy with the work he did and would hire him again.

The job went very well. We inspected the deck and decided on the sections/boards to replace. He the very carefully sawed of just the section of board that needed replacement. He then screwed a piece of 2x4 onto the existing joist, He then carefully cut a piece of board to just fit in the opening and secured the board to the 2x4 with screws.The job was completed in 2 hours.

We had moved into our house a year ago and were very frustrated with entry and storm doors sticking and not closing properly, plus they were drafty and let cold air in during winter. Plus a bathroom sink fixture was not working properly, the plunger not working the stopper. Bill Igel was prompt in responding to phone calls, providing estimate and then in scheduling and performing the work. He was very good in analyzing the problems and figuring out solutions, and he worked quickly. We now have doors that close and latch smoothly. The door adjustments and new thresholds resulted in better insulation. The new bathroom sink fixture works great, better water flow out of the faucet and down the drain, and the stopper works. We're very happy with Bill's work at our home.

I'm so very happy. My appointment was scheduled quickly and all communication was excellent. Bill was prompt, professional, and obviously knowledgeable. He was so friendly and easy to work with, that I will definitely be calling him again and recommending him to friends and family.

The experience was good. He took care of things in a timely manner. He came out and assessed the job, and then he came back and finished it. I didn't go over the 2 hours, so he only worked for the two hours. I had purchased the big deal for $99, and I thought that it was a fair amount for the work that he did. He was very timely, and he was on schedule as well.

It went well. Bill called to schedule the appointment for the "deal" very promptly. He called and confirmed our appt the day before and the day of when he asked to come early, graciously agreed to come after lunch as originally agreed. I had purchased the needed parts for the dryer vent project except the braces I got were not long enough so I ran out to Sears and got a roll of brace material at Bill's suggestion so he could cut the lengths he needed. A less expensive option. The vent project took the most time but Bill did a great job on it. He then completed the rest of my list very swiftly. He wanted to do a more careful and professional job on the master bath vanity caulking but I didn't want the bother of removing the faucet so we compromised. I am very pleased with the quality and quantity of work performed.

Bill was very professional and polite. He made sure he was very careful when removing the old ceiling fan and installing the new one. I will use his services again.

Bill was matched with me from a handymen site after I spent a lot of time trying to find someone to come and give me an estimate to fix the main staircase in my old house. He called every time he said he would, gave me options to fix the problem, and was very good at performing the job--and at a reasonable price. Definitely would recommend him!

I noticed a reduction in water pressure and leak in an outdoor spigot. Bill is located very close to our home so I called him first. He got back to me the same day and looked at the issue the next. He determined that the pipe was split and provided a reasonable price for replacement. He procured the part the next morning and completed the repair earlier than the original estimate. We were very pleased to have gotten the repair done quickly and at a reasonable price.

We called for repairs that were needed asap. Bill came out and completed the repairs on the same day that we called! This was the first time that we had called BDJ Handyman, and were very pleasantly surprised with the speed and quality of the work. Bill listened to our problem description and went right to work. In addition, all of this was done remotely, since we were in Chicago and had to describe the repairs over the phone. All in all, very professional, reasonably priced, and did a great job.
