I started calling in early May to get my asphalt driveway sealed. I was told they were a little behind due to wet weather, and that they schedule areas of the city in groups, but would put me on the schedule. I called back in June and was told the same thing. I called back in July and was told the same thing. I called back in August and was told the same thing. At that point I told them I needed the job done within one week or I was going to cancel. They could not give me any idea when they might do my driveway. I immediately cancelled. Of note, I called AJ Asphalt the same day, and they completed the sealing the very next day.

They were very good and very nice. I have spoken with the owner of the company in regards to the project and he did a great job.

This company did a fabulous job and I will continue to use them for all my driveway issues.

The driveway hadn't been sealed for a while so I called for an estimate. The estimate was left at my door right away. I called the company back to arrange a date for the service. They came as promised and did a very nice job on the driveway.

I felt that they did an excellent job. It seemed to be high quality and it has held up well for the past three years that I have had it. They were very thorough in following up with any questions that I had. There was an area where they expanded the driveway that sunk and they came right out to repair it when I called them. I have been very satisfied with their service.

They did an excellent job. We have a shared driveway with our neighbor. The neighbor didn't want to have her side done so we just had the coating.

I wouldn’t recommend them. They don’t come when they are supposed to come. We had to wait for a long time before they showed up. We waited for days and weeks for them to show up and when they showed up they put the first quote of sealer on the driveway. It rained and washed away the first quote of sealer. They came back and cleaned the garage door. After few months they came out and put the second quote of sealer. We thought they wouldn’t charge us for the first quote but they did though it was washed away. It’s an inconvenience for not using the driveway for a long period of time. I would have appreciated if they would have been honest about when they would come out and when they weren’t.

We called them and they came out and gave a price for three driveways (me and our two neighbors). They came out and did their service, however within the last year ALL of our driveways have now cracked and are peeling. I've called them 5 times and Bill Brown came out once to check the work. He blamed it on the sealant we had used previously, but we had all used different sealers. I have written to them numerous times (total of three), and they have yet to respond.

Band C has replaced driveways for both me and my mother. For our driveway, they were very professional and quick. The workers were very friendly, and they did top notch work. The drive looks great, and they were the least expensive quote! No one was ever standing around. When someone's job was done, they left to the next job. It makes you feel good about your choice of company when everyone always looks busy.

We called them and the guy came out. The guy said he would call us back. It has been over a month and we still haven't heard from them. We still haven't heard from them to set up an appointment.

Provided quotes timely. I had other people quoting the job also so Band C's was competitive. Repair work and paving completed in time scheduled and the job looks great. All conversations as I was deciding to do the work were very professional with great follow-up to any questions.

Very smooth from the estimate to the completion.

I wrote a report on this company two years ago when they created my new driveway. Now it was time for the drive to be sealed again and they left me a flyer at my door. I called and said I was certainly interested in having the work done. The whole process could not have been easier. They called a day ahead, I left them a check at the door, and they did a fabulous job!

Responsiveness -- took longer than I expected for them to be in my area; punctuality -- arrived about an hour later than was told.

The company started the work promptly and finished the work in one day.

I would never recommend this company. They were unprofessional. First refusing to submit a bill, then demanding my house helper pay, then submitting a bill with two erroneous dates absent of the correct date. Then, they demanded payment in 5 days or all warranties would be void. They subcontracted work out to another company with whom their communication was lousy. They damaged some of my property which they did repair sort of, but the big damage was to my garage floor. I did not even know about until 2 days later. The staff was consistently rude, and then insulting because I asked to have a bill saying a contract signed almost a year ago would not do. They treated me as rude because I wanted them to be professional. I emphasized my disability, but because they broke a promise I ended up having to hire extra help to cope with broken promises. The actual driveway job is okay as far as I can tell. But everything surrounding it was extremely difficult and unprofessional.

Although he didn't do the type of work I needed he took the time to educate me on hiring a concrete contractor.

B and C BLACKTOP REPLACED MY ASPHALT DRIVEWAY IN 2004 AND WERE TO RETURN A YEAR LATER TO APPLY THE FIRST SEAL COAT. OVER THE WINTER THE ASPHALT CONNECTED TO OUR FRONT WALKWAY BEGAN TO SINK. I CONTACTED THE COMPANY AND THEY SENT BILL TO EXAMINE AND PHOTOGRAPH THE ASPHALT. HE SAID THE REPAIR WAS COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY AND THAT THE REPAIR AND SEAL COAT WOULD BE DONE WITHIN 2 WEEKS. TWO MONTHS LATER THEY STILL HAD NOT PERFORMED THE WORK. THE OWNER DID NOT PERSONALLY RETURN MY CALLS BUT HAD HIS RECEPTIONIST, PAM, CALL. PAM SAID THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME A SPECIFIC DATE TO COMPLETE THE WORK AND EXPLAINED THAT THEY HAD 2 SEPARATE CREWS: ONE TO INSTALL/REPAIR DRIVEWAYS AND ONE TO SEAL COAT. THEY WERE SHORT HANDED AND WERE BEHIND IN WORK. FINALLY, AFTER I CALLED SEVERAL MORE TIMES THE REPAIR WAS DONE. THE REPAIR APPEARED OK BUT MAYBE A BIT SLOPPY AND HURRIED. I DECIDED TO HAVE ANOTHER COMPANY DO THE SEAL COAT.

THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB, AND CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, ONCE THE WEATHER CLEARED.

THE PERSON WHO CAME TO DO THE ESTIMATE WAS TERRIFIC. THE WRITTEN ESTIMATE IN THE MAIL WAS AN A! BEST I HAVE SEEN. I HIRED THEM AND WAITED ABOUT TWO WEEKS FOR THE WORK TO BE DONE, WHICH WAS ACTUALLY LESS TIME THAN I HAD THOUGHT. ON MAY 31 THEY CAME OUT TO DO THE WORK, WHICH WAS GOING TO TAKE ONE DAY (OR LESS), AND I LEFT THEM THE CHECK. LATER I WAS TOLD THAT ALTHOUGH THEY BROKE UP THE OLD DRIVE AND PUT DOWN GRAVEL, THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PUT DOWN THE ASPHALT BECAUSE THE STONE LAYER WAS TOO SOFT, I DID OBSERVE ONE OF THE FELLOWS AT MY HOUSE TO CHECK THE DRIVEWAY ONE DAY, AND THEY MIGHT HAVE COME BY OFTEN- I REALLY DON'T KNOW- BUT THE ASPHALT DRIVEWAY WAS NOT PUT IN UNTIL JUNE 15. THIS LEFT AN EYESORE FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD, AND SOME FRUSTRATION AND CONCERN AS WE WAITED AND HOPED THAT THE JOB WOULD BE COMPLETED. THE DRIVE LOOKS VERY NICE NOW AND I MUST ADD THAT THE COMPANY DID NOT TAKE THE CHECK UNTIL THE ENTIRE JOB WAS COMPLETE.

WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH EVERYTHING ABOUT Band C. THE PEOPLE WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND INFORMATIVE. EVEN THOUGH THEY MISPLACED OUR REQUEST FOR AN ESTIMATE, THEY CAME OUT THE VERY NEXT DAY AFTER ONE BRIEF PHONE CALL. THE AGENT CALLED ME AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO, AND THEY DID EXACTLY WHAT HE SAID. IN TWO DAYS, IT WAS TRANSFORMED FROM A GRAVEL DRIVEWAY TO A BEAUTIFULLY PAVED ONE. EVERYONE WHO SAW THE OLD ONE, AND HAS SEEN THE NEW ONE, HAS COMMENTED ABOUT WHAT A GREAT JOB.

THEY DID RETURN PHONE CALLS, DID CALL TO LET US KNOW WHEN CREWS WERE COMING. THEIR CREWS WERE FINE, DID AN ACCEPTABLE JOB, THOUGH THEY DAMAGED A PIECE OF ALUMINUM TRIM ON GARAGE AND DIDN'T FIX IT. THE CONCRETE CREW WAS RAG-TAG, DIDN'T COMPACT THE BASE PRIOR TO POUR, DIDN'T CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES, DID A MARGINALLY ACCEPTABLE JOB, THOUGH THEY SPRAYED CURING COMPOUND ON THE NEW GARAGE DOOR AND DIDN'T CLEAN IT OFF. B and C'S REP WAS NOT COOPERATIVE IN REMEDYING THE PROBLEMS, THOUGH THEY DID FINALLY PROVIDE MINIMALLY ACCEPTABLE REMEDY. I WOULD NOT USE THEM AGAIN.

TOOK ONE WEEK TO GET AN ESTIMATE AND ABOUT 2 WEEKS TO GET DRIVE DONE AFTER THAT. THEY DID A NICE JOB OF REMOVING THE OLD DRIVEWAY AND PUTTING IN THE NEW ONE. JOB TOOK ONLY HALF A DAY (SMALL DRIVEWAY) AND THE CLEAN UP WAS GOOD. THEY INCLUDED, WITH THEIR ESTIMATE, PROOF OF INSURANCE AND INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE NEW DRIVEWAY WHICH WAS VERY HELPFUL. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN FOR A FUTURE JOB.

EXCELLENT - ESTIMATOR BILL BROWN WAS THOROUGH, ANSWERING SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO UNDERSTAND ESTIMATE, AND COMING OUT A 2ND TIME SO I COULD TALK TO HIM IN PERSON; ADVISED I COULD SAVE MONEY BY DOING AN OVERLAY INSTEAD OF COMPLETE RE-DO; ULTIMATELY HAD A RE-DO DUE TO TREE ROOTS THAT NEEDED DUG UP; PAM IN OFFICE WAS GOOD, AND FOLLOW-UP TO ADVISE SHE RECEIVED FAX ACCEPTANCE, AND KEPT US INFORMED ABOUT POSSIBLE SCHEDULING; CREW DOING WORK WERE QUICK, DID GOOD WORK, AND CLEANED UP; DRIVEWAY LOOKS GREAT, IS LEVEL, AND RAINWATER DRAINS PROPERLY.
