I have had a residential contract with Atlas Butler for years, but after I scheduled my routine furnace check up with my $19.99/mo membership this year, I received a text message about having two furnaces. I called back the next day and they said they had corrected the issue. When I received another message about the two furnaces, I called back the next day again and they said they saw the notes and corrected it. Also said that my account was showing a balance even though the monthly fee had processed. When the technician showed up, he asked me about having two furnaces and I explained that I had called twice already about that and the billing issue. He spoke with someone while here to resolve both issues. That night, the temperature in my house dropped into the low 50s, so I called and they sent another technician out the next morning to reattach the wire from the flame sensor the previous technician d forgot to. Then, I received my credit card statement and saw that they had triple-billed me for the $19.99 in the span of five days. When I called yet again for the first time about the new billing issue, I was told that it would be taken care of. Then I got a notification that I was scheduled for service the following week. When I called back again to make sure that that service call was cancelled and to check on the billing issue, I was told that everything would be taken care of and someone would contact me to confirm the billing changes and cancel the service order. When I received another service order confirmation text, I called again to cancel and was told that the billing issue wasn’t showing up on their end and so they couldn’t do anything unless I sent them my credit card statement. When I asked for the email to send it to, I was told that there “might be a general email, or you could send it to me, I guess.” I was not comfortable with that and said I would just have my credit card company dispute the charges then and requested to cancel my membership.

Had fastest service availability out of any company that I called when AC went out. Service tech came out opened the panel of the AC and after probing a few areas with a volt meter said it was old, had many parts already replaced, and would only recommend replacing the whole system. I had a second company come out for a second opinion. They replaced the capacitor and it was running again. I would not recommend Atlas Butler for AC service. They seem to only be in business to sell whole new systems and not to repair older systems.

Atlas Buttler Heating and Cooling . A TOTAL RIP-OFF Their $89.00 service call was acceptable and they came out the same day. After researching the part replaced, it was the blower motor run capacitor and could be bought direct from Lennox for $29.00. Atlas Buttler charged me $299.00 for the part. Markup of 967.857%. Profit of $277.00. The labor needed was the removal of 5 screws, unplug the old part, plugin the new part and replace 5 screws. Total of about 10 minutes. I was also told that when he plugged the new part in I would be charged for it whether it fixed it or not. ***. When I called to complain I was curtly told their prices are what they are and nothing could be done.🤬
