Artistic Tree & Shrub Care

Jeff Gates is a rare find. We have used his services since 1999. He is on time, professional, skilled, reasonably priced and a man of his word. I don’t often write reviews and I know Jeff is a busy, busy man but I’d recommend him over any other for the care he has given to our property. Thanks, Jeff, for all of your years of excellent service.

I have been using them since 2015 Jeff the owner is fantastic. He is professional, prompt and he knows his business. I had a Shubert Cherry tree that was struggling since it was planted when Jeff took over in 2015 he said give me some time and the tree will be fine. Sure enough today the tree looks fantastic. I have over 28 trees and numerous shrubs on the property and Jeff has them looking great. This spring 2021 I had Jeff prune all of the trees great job and he cleaned up the worksite when he was done. Very Very reasonably priced Great Service and a Depth of Knowledge.

fantastic have been using their service for the last three years no complaints trees and shrubs look fantastic. in fact one tree was struggling not any more since I started their service the tree has come back and is growing fine .

I was given the recommendation of Artistic Tree by a good friend who has used his services many times in Upper Arlington. I have a crabapple tree that is looking a bit iffy. I called Artistic to trim it. When he came out, he advised fertilizing it and waiting until spring to see what condition the tree is in before we trim or cut it down. I was pleased that he just didn't jump in there and do just anything. I will have him back when the tree begins to grow leaves again. He did suggest that we fertilize both trees, and that was the service done.

I have used him for 14 years. The owners name is Jeff. He is very easy to communicate with, he cares about keeping my trees looking the best they could, and keeping them looking healthy. I trust him.

I've used Artistic Tree and Shrub, owned by Jeff Gates, for the last 11 years. Many of my neighbors have used them for years also. Jeff really cares about the plants under his care and always gives sound recommendations for their care and treatment. His prices are very good and he has all the equipment needed to prune large trees and take out shrubs and trees if needed. Every June he and his helper come over and shape my taxus and yews. Here's where the and quot;artisticand quot; part of his company's name really shines. I have two very long and dense hedges and several bushes around my house. Jeff is a master with the hedge trimmer. He gets the hedge top perfectly even all along the line and shapes the sides so they form a curved and seamless whole. His helper is also a very skilled perfectionist. Jeff is always pleasant, knowledgeable, professional, and cleans up after himself. I'm very lucky that someone recommended him to me years ago.

We have used Artistic Tree in the past and called and left a message for an estimate to have all of the ornamental trees pruned and two large bushes removed. Because Jeff Gates, the owner, has been to our house before, he was able to do the estimate without us being present. Jeff and Stacy pruned nine trees from a small Japanese maple to fully grown red buds, and the pruning was more than just removing branches close to the house. They carefully and artfully removed branches so that the trees look good. He and Stacy also removed two, 20-year-old junipers that were 20+ feet tall. Stacy then removed the stumps about two weeks later after the utilities had been marked. All the debris was removed and the work was done without overly disturbing the landscaping. Stacy was particularly careful when removing the stumps which were located around the gas meter, an a/c unit, and sprinkler systems for our house and a neighbor's house. A neighbor asked if they would be able to cut down a large ash tree located between two other houses. Jeff considered it and said that the job was too large. We do use other tree services for larger jobs with mixed results and do wish that Artistic Tree could have removed the ash trees from our property. We will continue to use and recommend Artistic Tree for pruning.

Their prices are great. They were recommended to me by another larger landscaper that I am working with as someone that can help me with smaller jobs. Really have been easy to work with.

Jeff responded to my call for an estimate within a day, and scheduled time to meet with us. He was on time for the appointment. He gave us an onsite estimate, and said he would schedule the work within a few weeks. Because we had some other maintenance work that depended on getting the trees trimmed, we called him two weeks later, and he was able to schedule us the following week.They performed extensive pruning of several trees in our front yard. Each tree was of a different type, and thus required attention specific to the way it grows. He and his team did an excellent job. They picked up all the branches, mulched them onsite, and swept up the walk and driveway. The final bill was the exact amount Jeff had quoted in our estimate. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to take care of their trees, large and small!

Jeff is here every few weeks during the growing season, and that gives me confidence that he will spot any new problems affecting my landscape. He is perfectly suited for his profession: he really cares about trees and their well-being!

A person from Artistic Tree and Shrub Care Company came out and left me the quote. I wasn’t home when he came. I think it was okay because it was anyways outside work. I would definitely consider using them for this work or for quotes in the future.

They are very well priced. They didn't need to improve on anything. They were prompt. They did excellent work and cleaned up great! Everything was more than satisfactory. I would highly recommend them and would use them again.

We spend about $30 or $40 a month for that service. They are excellent and we would highly recommend them to others. Jeff is the arborist and he is very attentive to detail and tries to talk to me every time he comes here to share with me what is going on with our yard. He comes exactly when needed to make sure everything is taken care of. He is scheduled to do some tree trimming next month. He also does monthly maintenance on trees and bushes and he sprays them with herbicide.

Neighbors had trees pruned and it looked good. Ask them for a referral. Called Artisitic trre, spoke on phone about what I wnted. He came out abuot 1 week later for estiamte. I requested servce, and he came to do prunnig bout 2-3 weeks later. He worked hard, did good job, cleaned up well. Was well pleased.

He is fantastic. He is an artist with the electric hedge trimmer. He can get a long hedge trimmed perfectly. He is very knowledgeable and is up on all the latest treatment for sick and ailing trees. He doesn't give up easily. He has nursed many trees back to health for people in my neighborhood.
