He did a great job and we passed inspection.

I purchased the deal to have my mothers bathroom unclogged. They were unable to do the job and I had to hire another company to perform the work.

Had purchased an Angie's Deal for $89.00 for outside faucet repair. The faucets were old and soldered on so the plumber advised that we simply get a part. (Which we did and the faucets are working fine now.) As ARS / Rescue Rooter was at our home we had the plumber look at a leaky pipe in our basement. Several attempts have been made throughout the years to find and correct the leak. The serviceman found the leak, repaired the pipe. Very nice serviceman. Would definitely use ARS/Rescue Rooter again.

did not show up when they were supposed second time called and 2 hours later made it then did not have the correct replacement and wanted to charge $219(do not recall the exact amount now) because the advertised price was a threaded 1/2" replacement . My hose bib was a 3/4" soldered bib. They ended up replacing it for $150 and did a good job. But i felt that they really tried ti rip me off with the increase they tried to get

Incredibly responsive and communicative from the dispatcher to the plumber, Roto Rooter again did a terrific job in cleaning out the main line of my house. Their prices are on par with their largest competitors but are well worth it. In my experiences with the company, the work is done right.

He arrived on time and found where the water pipes were inside and went to his truck to get the tools, etc to remove former faucet and install the new one. It took less than 1/2 an hour to complete. He was vet nice and professional. I love my new outside faucet with water not squirting all over the place as was the case with the old one.

Ended up costing me triple the coupon price, due to the existing pipe setup. Service person was apologetic and explained the differences in what the coupon offered and what the system I currently had, and left it up to me whether I wanted what I originally had with the added faucet piece that needed replaced. Said the parent company placed the ad with Angie's List & didn't explain what issues might affect the total cost ( so that the average consumer would understand) Anyway ....... I opted to pay the additional money on top of what I had already paid Angie's List, which of course stung a little bit. Repairman explained I still got the full value as stated in the coupon. It was my decision to keep the upgraded piping into the house, instead of using the lower grade that came with the opponents. The service man was very polite and took time to explain my options, and apologized for the confusion about what was covered. Because of his attitude, I would still use them (him) again.

The tech was very nice and professional, but the price was very high considering all he did was snake a drain. The $125 price was after a $100 off coupon, and there was a bit of confusion with the coupon because it was so new. The tech didn't know anything about the coupon and had to call the main office for approval. I also had another problem with the tap water hose leaking, which I decided, after hearing how much it would cost to have Rescue Rooter fix, to try and fix it myself. I was unable to fix it and had to have another plumber fix the hose and a very corroded pipe. I chose someone else I found on Angie's List, and he also had to put a washer in the drain, because the tech with Rescue Rooter forgot to put one in and it was leaking. I won't use Rescue Rooter again because of the high price but they are very easy to get a hold of and can come out at last minute if you need them to.

Overall, the experience was fine. They were a bit late for the appointment, but they were still able to send someone out today. The technician was very friendly and professional and was able to get the job done quickly. There was some confusion on using my Angie's List Deal pre-paid coupon, but we got that straightened out. My only criticism was that I was charged a $29.50 Truck Operating Supplies charge that I had not been made aware of. I didn't see it in the fine print of the deal, and the technician didn't make me aware of it when I elected to have him install the shut off valve. I would have paid it anyway, but would have liked to have advance knowledge of this add-on charge.

Promptly we were told it will cost us an additional $60 for a frost free faucet. We did not have one to begin with and actually did not need one, They installed the frost free one because thats all they had. Every person in our condo community have a regular faucet and the condos are only 7 years old. They passed inspection. Secondly, we had a toilet with a crack and were told they could replace it for $675!! I had it replaced for $150 and it is perfect. Thirdly I had a dripping faucet in my bathroom and was told we needed to replace not only the dripping faucet but the matching one in the second sink at a cost of $250 each!! The gentleman who replaced my toilet took apart the faucet, checked all the parts, lubricated it and it was perfect......didn't charge me a dime. The owner called us demanding the $60. My husband told him we would not be paying any extra and how deceptive his installer was.

Went perfectly. Plumber was on time. He thought he might have to replace some of the pipe going to the faucet, but upon closer inspection only needed to replace a $13.95 part. Would do business with them again.

Water from kitchen was backing up into bathtub and not draining. It was a Sunday. Called ARS and they came out within the hour. Diagnosed a worn out garbage disposal that was clogging pipes. They cleaned the pipes and fixed the problem. Fantastic service for a weekend and they did not charge extra.

I purchased an Angie's List coupon to have a hose bib replaced for $89.00. I made the appointment for between 10 & 11 am and was told they would call when they were on the way, at 11:15 I called to find out where the technician was. I was told that they were running late and again they would call when on the way. The technician showed up at 12:00. I showed the technician what I was replacing and that I had a coupon. The technician told me that for the $89 coupon I was going to get just a basic hose bib and that their company did not recommend this for our climate additionally he did not even carry them on his truck, he would have to go to the hardware store and get one. The technician said that for our climate his company recommended a frost free hose bib with a shutoff valve inside the house. The technician told me he wasn't trying to sell me anything I didn't want that what I would have installed was totally up to me. I opted for the frost free hose bib with shutoff valve. The work was completed fast and efficiently and the technician was very friendly. I didn't understand why this company offers something that I was told they don't recommend you install and don't carry on their trucks, but ultimately the decision was mine. I would use this company again but wish they would be more upfront about the products they are offering.

We did get a phone call that our repairman was going to be late due to another job delaying him. 1 1/2 hrs later we then we got a second call that he would be even later than expected. The third call confirmed that he was finally on his way. We were scheduled for 10AM. He ended up coming at 2:30. Upon inspection of the faucet, he informed us that we needed a different type of faucet than what the he had on the truck and is was not completely covered by the coupon. We had to pay an additional $61 on top of the $89 for the coupon. He commented that a number of people he has encountered required the same faucet that we needed and the coupon was not meant to cover the entire cost (contrary to the belief of many he has encountered...including me) FYI....the coupon did not specify any upcharge might be necessary based on type of faucet. I would assume in Ohio that all outside faucets would the correct type to handle frost or very low temperatures. The repair man had to leave to acquire the correct type of faucet. Based on his earlier comment about a number of other people needing the same faucet, we were surprised that he wasn't carrying the right replacement on his truck. After 45 minutes, he returned and performed the installation. In the end, the faucet was replaced and the workmanship seemed to be fine. As a side note, my entire family commented on the somewhat strong body odor of this individual. His personality was a bit quirky but he was not rude.

They were very good. There was no problem with the coupon and they had someone come out an hour after I called them.

They were fine. The guy who came to the house was very good at his job and up front about everything. He explained everything very well and told me how to about the situation in the future.

They did a really good job, but I think they were kind of expensive.

When the guy who came out looked at it, he found that I would need more work done due to the type of faucet I had. They have been good so far. While I was disappointed to learn that I would need much more work than I expected, they were very up front about the costs.

I called right after purchasing the Big Deal and had a pleasant scheduling experience. We had the service scheduled for between 8am-9am, and called around 9:10 when no one had showed up yet. I was informed that they would be there any minute and should actually already be in the driveway (they weren't.) They did arrive just a few minutes later. Then we received the explanation about how the hose faucet we need since we live in a freezing climate would be an additional charge above what was advertised. This was what really upset me - felt like we got the "bait and switch." While $150 is reasonable for an outdoor hose faucet replacement, it should not have been advertised for $90 in Ohio. I likely would have delayed the service given other priorities we have right now had I known the actual price. The faucet does work well - my issue is with the disingenuous marketing. I received a survey from the company and filled it out. I did receive a follow up call from someone the next day but did not connect with them.

The service person arrived on time. He did the work. He did a good job. His price seemed comparable to other quotes I had.

The faucet is fine. The shower drain was "snaked" again by the next plumber, leaving a disgusting mess in the tub. He said there was nothing more he could do, told me I should buy the chemical to clear the drain, from him, at the cost of $81! I was instructed to let it sit 4 hours and then put hot water down the drain. It worked for a few more days, then was slow again. I called again today 6-14-2013. The lady was very difficult to understand. I thought she put me on hold, and I thought I had accidentally hung up on her, so I called back. Spoke to a different woman, who set up an appt with me for between 7 and 8PM tonight. I get a call at 2:15 that the plumber is at my house, I am at work, and I told him he was supposed to be there at 7. We hung up, then the office called me back. The first woman said she told me she was sending the plumber right out. I told her I did not understand her, and made an appt thru the other lady. After I got home from work, I received a call from the office at 7:08. I missed the call, and the voicemail said to call back before 8. I called back at 7:21. The man was snotty wanting to know if I was "home from work, yet" I said yes and he said no one had been dispatched to my house yet, just making sure I was there. I tried calling back at 8:29, because no one showed up and no one called. There was no answer. The plumber who called me finally at 8:44 said he got behind on his other job. I let him know it was too late to come tonight. I am not happy with the service, nor with the snotty attitude of the man on the phone. I will NOT use them again. This is one of my first attempts at using Angie's List, and I am not impressed so far.

I purchased the $89 deal to have outdoor faucet replaced. The next day, ARS contacted me to set up an appointment. They came out at the designated time and looked at my faucet. My faucet did not meet the standards for the deal but they went ahead and wrote up a new estimate and credited me with the $89 already paid. I also added a shut off valve feature to the estimate. The tech was very, very nice and professional. He explained everything he was going to do. He wore shoe covers while he was in the house. The work was done quickly. I would hire ARS again for any plumbing needs I have in the future.
