See above. Plumbers are so expensive! I suppose the bill was so high because I had him do the other toilets while he was here; I asked about toilet replacement and his price was almost $700!!!!

The service did not go well. He said he was going to be there at a certain time, and then no phone call, and he shows 4 hours later, and then tried selling a 4000 Dollar unit, when that was clearly not needed.

They were here for 2 weeks and once they came in they said that I couldn't even get an estimate for another company because I was with them, I'm not even sure that's true. I think they were just trying to get as much money out of me as they could.

Everything turned out fine. They were able to come out shortly after I had purchased the deal through Angie’s List. One technician was here doing the water heater flush and he was nice and helpful. I prefer to use local business over big corporate businesses.

The experience was horrible. I want my money back for the big deal I purchased to use them. The guy who came out suggested just cutting off the fixture that just needed a part and going & buying the entire new fixture. He would be happy to put that in for me. I called the manufacture of the faucet. They sent the part to me at no charge and I had to fix it myself. I will never use them again. I would recommend them to hire competent people. They didn't do anything.

It was fine. It ended up costing a good bit more than the "big deal" advertised because of the type of faucet we had. I wasn't happy about that, but they did fine, and made a real effort to make us happy. Angie's List people, now will you please STOP asking me to review this! I can't even remember when it was done. I put in a fake date and dollar amount just to get this to go through, because I just don't remember. Angie's list sends me emails all the time asking me to review it. Now will you stop bugging me?

He checked the sump pump and everything went fine.

They provided a quote for a new sump pump which I don't know that I need. I was not entirely satisfied with this approach.

Very prompt and professional. My only issue is the price seemed high and I wish I had gotten some estimates first rather than relying on the big deal, which I don't think saved me any money at all.

I made an appointment for someone to come out during Saturday morning. The person that arrived immediately placed covers over his shoes to protect the indoor rugs he walked on and proceeded to inspect the plumbing issues in the kitchen. He pointed out some issues with the piping underneath the sink that he thought could prevent him from conducting repairs, then provided me with a written description of planned work with estimated costs. The written description included three options to choose from. All three options appeared very pricey from my estimation. Consequently, I decided to decline his services and was charged a $29.50 service call fee. I had purchased an Angie's List Deal coupon valued at $50.00 for $100.00 of worked performed, but the coupon could not be used to offset the cost for the service call.

No problems with the sump pump check., I did not feel it was necessary to try to sell me a new water softener.

My scheduled appointment was for 2pm, the plumber actually showed up at 330pm, with no phone call about the delay. I let the plumber in and showed him the shower where the drain was clogged. As I was describing the problem, he interrupts me to ask for the Angie's list coupon. I bring him the coupon and he says of this is a $50 off coupon, so that comes out to $125. I take back the coupon and tell him no this coupon I already paid $50 for is for $100 worth of plumbing service. He proceeds to tell me it's a $50 off coupon and that if he unclogs the drain i will owe them $125. So I paid for him to perform $100 worth of service, but he tells me I only have $50. I repeat the actual wording on the coupon to him and he tells me 'Well this isn't a plumbing problem, it's a drain problem'. He proceeds telling me the spiel about it being a $50 off coupon and that's when I point him to the door! Mind you, the "coupon" clearly states on it that the company will perform $100 worth of plumbing service, to include drain service. The guy was in my house for less than 3 minutes. This has been my first negative experience on Angie's list so I don't discredit this site however, I do discredit this individual plumber! The company tried contacting me, but I missed their phone call. They left a voice mail with their name and number, so I returned the phone call and left them a message on the company answering machine. I haven't received a call back.

Our sewer line backed up. After unsuccessful attempts to get our home warranty to send a provider to clean out the line, we contacted ARS Rescue Rooter. It was a Saturday, just before Christmas and when we were having a lot of rain. A technician, Evan, was sent out later that day. He determined that, because our sewer line clean-out was in the crawlspace, they'd not be able to get a regular line snake in to clean the line, but instead would have to use special equipment called a scour jet, which uses high-powered water jets to try to clean the line out. Because this equipment would take at least 2 technicians to run, it was not possible to schedule clean-out until Monday. He gave us an estimate of $656.00 to do this work. As we were going out of town for the holidays, my husband got a small line snake from the hardware store and worked with a friend to try to clear the line. This was not very successful, so when Evan from ARS called Monday to schedule the clean-out, we arranged for them to come the following Monday. Evan and another showed up as scheduled and performed the scour jetting. The line appeared to be functional again. Both technicians were punctual and professional. The charge was equivalent to the estimate. The service included a 30-day warranty and was also to include a camera through the line. The camera operator was not available that day, and as the next two days were the New Year's holidays, we were told he'd come by later in the week. He did not. The following week the line backed up again, so we put in another call to ARS. The same two technicians came out again and immediately ran the scour jetting. The camera operator showed up to run the camera through. I found him to be somewhat condescending, as he wanted to speak with my husband, even asking me to "get him on the phone" in the middle of his work day. I had to convince him to tell me what was going on. He appeared reluctant but finally took me outside to indicate the points where he thought there were likely tree roots invading the line, and that the line was probably collapsed or badly damaged and would have to be dug up and replaced. I asked him to provide me with an estimate for this work; he responded, "you have your husband get in touch with me and I'll send him an estimate." He also informed me that, since I'd called them back within the 30-day warranty period, there would be no charge for that day's service, but that they "would not come back again for free, even if it was the next day." Although I was quite put off by his manner, my husband did contact him and received an estimate for between $5500 and $6700, depending on the extent of service required to replace the line and/or add in a new clean-out. These estimates also required that we would remove a tree and take down 2 sections of fence ourselves. We decided to seek estimates from other companies. Another company found that the line was only clogged with roots, not collapsed, and did not need to be replaced. When they ran the camera, there was a lot of standing water in the line, indicating that ARS had only cleared a small hole for water to flow through. (They invited me to watch the camera going through the line the entire time, so I was able to see the issues.) We would not recommend ARS to others.

The service was average. They were able to come out shortly after I had purchased the big deal. Scheduling was fine and the owner was very responsive. They were running late for the appointment. I was not anticipating how much it would cost to do the additional service. The toilet was still running a couple days later so they were able to send someone out right away to address the issue for me.

The technician arrived when he said he would. He was very courteous and was careful to put on booties as he entered my house. He also answered all my questions thoroughly. At the end of his inspection he characterized my pump as being in average condition for an aging product. I felt confident in his assessment and his professional knowledge and experience. I would definitely use the services of this company again. Follow Up as of 06/13/2014: I set up an appointment for a new sump pump installation for June 4th at 5:00pm. I left work early to be home in time for this appointment, at 4:55 on June 4th ARS called to reschedule. We rescheduled for June 11th at 5pm. On June 11th at about noon, ARS called once again to reschedule. We rescheduled for June 12th at 5pm. I left work early once again on June 12th to be home in time for ARS to install my new sump pump and at 20 minutes till 5pm I called to see if we were still on track for the 5pm appointment and was told she would call the technician and get back me. I still had not heard from anyone at 4:55pm, and so I called the office once again. This time I was put on hold while she called the technician. She finally came back to my call and informed me that the technician could be at my house at 6:30pm. At that point, I cancelled the appointment. I will not be doing business with ARS in the future. I would like to note that I had previously given this company good grades because of their responsiveness to my original review which was all F's. In light of everything that has happened, I have decided to go with my original grades for this company for their lack of professionalism and lack of respect for other peoples time. If you value your time, I suggest you think twice about hiring this company.

The service turned out fine. They were able to do the work quickly.

Everything was fine. They did everything as promised, on time and at the right price. The owner has gone above and beyond to make sure that what he did stuck. He didn't push anything on me.

The service professional came out the same day we called and checked everything thoroughly. He made repairs to our satisfaction, and also informed us that the hose to the detachable head of our kitchen sink faucet had become quite worn and needed to be replaced. He said that the manufacturer of our faucet offered a lifetime replacement on all of its products. By contacting the manufacturer to replace the faucet, we were able to save quite a bit of money. The plumber showed up on time, inspected the not water tank and provided the paperwork.

My experience went very well. The staff was very professional, punctual and friendly while visiting. I was pleased with the outcome of their services and would recommend this company to others.

The provider was very good about our cancelling their services.

They called to say they were running late in order to reschedule if needed. I was home, so I didn't mind that they were running late. When they did come, the technician was polite, friendly, and respectful of my home. He looked everything over, adjusted some wires so my secondary sump would work again, and then told me (and showed me) how to maintain the battery back up on my own. I was really pleased, and the service gives me great peace of mind.

Office called soon after I purchased big deal. Easy to schedule at a time convenient for me. Called morning of appt to confirm. Arrived promptly and very nice and professional . Quickly checked sump pump and assured me it was working well and I was maintaining my battery backup . He also looked at water heater. Said it was doing ok, but I should consider replacement with tankless, which I ad already been considering. Mine is 20 yrs. no hard pressure sales just informative. I appreciate that Was here less than 15 minutes
