ARLINGTON TILE & MARBLE

I recently had Benny Nini of Arlington Tile complete a tiling job around my fireplace and hearth. Mr. Nini was punctual at the beginning getting both the quote and subsequently the job done quickly, for which he was paid immediately upon completion. Afterwards however, I had found that some of the grout lines had collapsed. Believing it was a small fix that would take no less than 30 minutes to re-grout a small area, I asked Benny to come back out to redo. I have no reached out to him through call or text no less than 10+ times and he has chosen to not return any of my messages. This has been going on for the last month or so and at this point I've completely had it. It's very disappointing putting good faith in someone to do a job well and paying them immediately when they request it for them to turn around and not give the customer the same treatment back. It's a true mark of unprofessionalism and now someone I would DEFINITELY not recommend for anyone to be have work done from

Poor business practice experience . Our backsplash was installed by Benny, the owner. Benny was paid in full in good faith that he would return and complete the job. After a number of non returned phone calls and texts, it became obvious that he had no intention of completing the job. The end result was we needed to hire another contractor to finish the work. Due to this experience, we would not recommend Arlington Tile for backsplash work.

I used a referral from a friend. I wasn't really pleased with them. We got issues with the tile. I wouldn't use them again.

So happy to have found Benny right around the corner from me in the neighborhood (Upper Arlington). He did a very large master bath renovation for us this Summer. Subway tile on the walls, wainscoting, hex tile on the floors, shower, water closet. He also did a full wall kitchen backsplash with complex tile shapes, and a laundry/mudroom/entry grey slate floor with a complex versailles pattern. 30+ years of experience shows. Beautiful work!

Benny and his crew did a beautiful job tiling our home. We had a 1200 sq ft area that we wanted tiled. This included two long halls, several small areas (two and a half baths and laundry room), a dining room and a large open family room/kitchen. In addition the tile pattern was a complicated 4 piece pattern with sizes ranging from 20x20 to 6x6. Because of these factors, the job require a lot of cuts and was more complex than usual. Benny did a very careful job and the result is a beautiful pattern with straight lines and even grout joints. Benny arrived early each day, worked hard and cleaned up very neatly. He and his crew were very pleasant and friendly, and he gave good suggestions for cleaning and upkeep. He was very experienced with color combinations and gave helpful suggestions for grout color.

We had a leaky shower, and determined it was due to loose tiling, which turned out to be a bigger problem than just a loose tile or two (no surprise). Replacing tile was no possible, because of the age of the current tile and its arrangement in the bathroom. Arlington Tile boss came to see it, arranged for one of his associated specialists to tackle it - he fixed the problem, preserved the tile, made it look better than when we moved into the house, all for much less than I feared it might cost. I recommend them highly - good people.

We called Arlington Tile after several attempts to find an installer. I left a message and received a call shortly thereafter. We established a time for a detailed estimate after discussing the job over the phone. Benny arrived on time and gave me an estimate as well as a start date. The job was completed on time and at agreed upon price.

Overall it went very well. The guys are true professionals. Very clean, prompt and communicative. I rated "B" on qualify because I think that some of the grout lines could have come out better, but I recognize the challenge of working on an old house.

He was prompt and reasonably priced. He was very professional. He actually came during evening hours, which was nice. The job was done well. I felt that the price was very good.

Everything was great at first. There were some bars missing so he thought he could find some. He returned the cabinet and was supposed to order the bars. I gave him a check for $60 (cost of the bars), but the bars didn't fit. He never gave me my money back and he didn't reutrn the original bar that he took out of the cabinet to match. He sent me an email that said he would get my check back to me, but he never did. Everything else was great. He goes on and on about how he is rated so high on Angie's List, but he never gave me my money back.

He was good to work with and was knowledgeable. I didn't end up using him, as we couldn't coordinate schedules. I was needing the work to be done immediately, and he wasn't able to do it for a few weeks out.

From the first time we used Benny he was quick to return calls, punctual with his appointments and very knowledgable about the product and the process. Estimates/quotes were right on and more than competitively priced. His experience in the industry was not only beneficial when we asked for opinions regarding work that he would perform but it also paid dividends when we were looking for other contractors to perform other functions (plumbing/electrical) because he has so many contacts within the construction business. If we have another project involving ceramic tile and/or marble, we will definetly contact Arlington Tile.

We wanted to update our two bathrooms. We selected 3-4 types of materials for consideration and contacted several contractors for quotes. Benny's estimate was well within our budget and he provided several suggestions for us to consider in the way of which material to use as well as tile patterns. He ordered the materials, provided an installation schedule and adhered to it. He removed existing tile on the walls and floors, installed new drywall and subflooring as needed. He coordinated the plumbing activities for both bathrooms so we had minimal downtime. They provided excellent quality finishing touches and cleaned up after themselves.

We have used him several times. His prices are fair. He is a very good craftsman. His is personable and professional. He does a nice job of cleaning up after himself.

Company contacted us in a timely manner and set an appointment, however, they did not show up for the appointment and they did not call Pella or us to cancel or reschedule.

BENNI ARRIVED AND FINISHED THE JOB AS PROMISED. HIS PRICE WAS $1000 LESS THEN THE OTHER BIDS I HAD OBTAINED FROM ANGIE'S LIST. THIS IS THE THIRD ROOM HE HAS TILED FOR ME. CLEAN-UP WAS OK BUT NOT GREAT. MAKE SURE YOU PROTECT YOUR WOOD FLOORS THAT THEY WALK ON. THE FINE GROUT DUST CAME OUT OF THE WOOD FLOORS AFTER 5 FLOOR WASHINGS. HE ALWAYS TILES WITH HUGE GROUT JOINTS. MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR SMALLER JOINTS IF YOU PREFER.

HE IS GOOD AT WORKING WITH HIS CUSTOMERS AND MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS. HE SEEMS TO BE VERY EXPERIENCED.

BENNY DID A GREAT JOB FOR US. HE OFFERED DESIGN SUGGESTIONS THAT TURNED OUT BEAUTIFUL. HE UNDERSTOOD OUR VERY SPECIAL SCHEDULING NEEDS AND WORKED WITH US.

MEMBERS WERE VERY PLEASED, THEY CLEANED UP WELL.

THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND COURTEOUS. THEY HAD GREAT FOLLOW UP ON EVERYTHING. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE WORK. THEY WERE ALWAYS THERE WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE. CD
