Ameriseal Asphalt Sealcoating

All went well. The job was neatly done.

Company was not able to replace our driveway but provided a recommendation for a company that could. Also provided advice for how best to maintain our investment once the driveway was replaced. Very helpful.

I got an honest opinion about the condition and a good job was done.

I left a voice mail asking for a quote for sealing our driveway. I received the call back 4-5 days later, and was told that somebody would be coming out to measure and provide a quote in the next few days. I called them back 5 days later and the same person who told me that they would be coming out to measure did not know what I was talking about, (same person and same phone number that I spoke to a week before). To my question why didn't they just tell me that they're too busy so I don't spend 2 weeks waiting for them, the person hung up the phone on me. So much for your A rating.

They did a very neat job -- no sealant slopped on the adjacent concrete surfaces. It took them a couple of days to respond to my voice mail (I would typically expect a business to return a call within 24 hours), but not a biggie. They were nice folks and did a nice job.

Chris was great. He came out right away and did a fantastic job. His price was lower than other quotes that we got. I was very pleased. I highly recommend him!

Not well. Ameriseal was recommended to me by Pullin's Blacktop after they installed a new large blacktop driveway for me. (Pullin's did a very nice job and I have reviewed them separately.) Over a period of about 3 or 4 weeks, I made a number of calls to Ameriseal to get a bid or proposal. I spoke to Chris twice, but never got anything but promises they would get me an estimate, and (the last time I called) an apology for them not responding. But even that time they did not respond with a bid. I gave up, went on Angie's list and found First Choice, which were very responsive, keep me informed about their schedule and the weather and did a excellent job.

Chris was on time, was honest and explained how we could repair some of our larger issues with our driveway. Offered advice and was not pushy on having him complete the extra service. We did decide to go with him for the additional work beyond the standard resealing and would gladly do so again. Was a pleasure to work with Chris and would recommend.

Two employees came out and everything went well. They actually came back to fill up a few cracks. There was no additional cost for that.

They squeezed us in & did a great job

This company does not have anyone to answer their phones, so may take a few days for them to return a call. Chris Cook told me that they were a much better company then one we could hire coming down the road and handing out fliers. I disagree with that statement. . Our driveway has some cracks and blemishes, but their sealcoating did not even cover any of that. When I contacted Chris Cook to let him know that I was not pleased at all with the service, he told me that it would be extra to fill in the cracks, I had understood from the beginning that they would not be putting in crack filler, but I thought that the very small hairline cracks and some of the small blemishes should have been filled in. He said he would come out and look. I have never heard another thing from him. I called and left him a message and asked him to do the right thing, but appearantly he did not wish to do that. I am very isappointed, I really felt for what he was charging me he would have done a much better job. We were thinking about doing this ourselves, but I really wanted the driveway to look good, so I figured he could do that from the way he talked. I would never recommend him. He made sure in the beginning to make me feel like they were professionals and would do such a better job than anyone else. Guess when he asked for payment day of service, up front.. should have known.... Never would use this company nor would I ever recommend to a friend. I am going back to the companies that pass flyers out when they are in the neighborhood or doing it myself. They are definatley not worth the cost and not willing to make sure that the customer is satisfied.

Called 7/17/14 and requested service; took information and never called back.

We moved into a house with an asphalt drive that had not been sealed in a very long time. One coat from Ameriseal made it look like new. This company uses high quality materials - none of that shiny/watery stuff that cracks in a week. Don't make the mistake of calling the other "Ameri" company.

Barb in the back office was awesome! We had a few weather delays but she always let us know what was going on and was super friendly on the phone. The guys on site did a great job too and it looks fantastic. Looks like a new driveway.

Overall this is a good company because they did excellent workmanship on the driveway. I would definitely use them again. However, the process of getting an estimate was difficult which is reflected in some rating categories above. I had my driveway replaced along with my neighbor last year with another Angie's List provider. The company who installed the driveway said I should have it sealed this summer and they recommended Ameriseal. I called Ameriseal and left a message requesting an estimate for multiple driveways. I called again about a week later and spoke with Chris, the owner of Ameriseal, who said he would come out and give me an estimate by the following Wednesday. He did not come nor did he call to give me any idea of a modified estimate schedule. I then called 8 other A-rated Angie's List providers for estimates and only 2 of those returned my call and came to do an estimate. I was going to hire one of the other companies but my neighbor strongly preferred waiting for an estimate from Ameriseal because of the positive opinion the driveway installation company had of Ameriseal. So, over a little more than a month, I called and left messages a total of 5 times before Chris came and did an estimate. Chris called me with the estimate, told me he'd be able to do the work the following week and would give me 1-2 days notice. We spoke the day before the work was done and Chris said they'd be arriving at 8:00 a.m. the following morning. The actual arrival was 9:00. The work was performed quickly (less than an hour) and they did a great job and left a clean work area. The cost was $253 for a single coat (my other two estimates were $171 and $396). Ameriseal put the sealant on hot directly from their tank (not a process using buckets, etc) and it is spread thick. They use Brewer Cote tar emulsion with sand suspended using TarMax additive - none of which I understand but it was the factors that made my driveway installer recommend Ameriseal.

Overall, great quality and great price. Had a little snag with not being called the day before as usually the case and had a few misunderstandings at the time of service. However, the owner returned my call and apologized which I greatly appreciated.

Bought my house in 2003. Had it sealed a year later by Ameriseal. Since then I have had it done every other year. My driveway looks like it is brand new. I would not consider using anyone else. The work is outstanding and he is a very nice personable man. I am proud to recommend him.

Chris is meticulous as heck. He and his company did a lot of driveways in our neighborhood and we viewed his work as the best. None of the asphalt sealer got on the concrete sidewalk like i've seen other companies do. I will definitely rehire Ameriseal again next year.

Hired Bill to seal our asphalt driveway. Very affordable, great job, nice, honest guy. Will use again and recommend him to others.
