After a terrible experience with a different mover who cancelled on me 3 days before our move, I found American Moving & Storage on Angie's List and called. Right away I felt like everything I said and did was of the utmost importance. The owner/mgr., Jeff Frank took the time to talk to me and LISTEN to me. He was so pleasant and knowledgeable. He really cared about me. The quote he gave me was the price I paid. Period. The men he sent over, John, Bail, and Ian were courteous, kind and very patient. They even worked around my 3 kids. The loaded up my house onto their truck like magnificent puzzle makers! They were done in 3hours. On the day they delivered my things in New York, they had previously said they would be there at 8am. Guess what?! They rang the doorbell at 8 am!!! John and Bail came to unload, as Ian is a local helper. The unloading was done in 3 hours again! I could not believe this! I think they both said that they each had about 15 years or so experience, and it shows. No scratches to any furniture, or my walls. Best of all, they were nice guys. Truly nice guys. Always wary of having strangers in my home, especially 2 strong men, I felt comfortable and very at ease with these guys. Would love to have them over for coffee sometime if they ever find themselves in the neighborhood!

The guys were on time, and were very meticulous with their work. I would highly recommend this company to all of my friends and family.

I called on Monday, and two men arrived as scheduled two days later. They were very professional and effecient. The company had provided them with a dolly that included a stair-climbing mechanism, but they still had to do a lot of manual maneuvering of the tank to get it outside. They had about 1" clearance getting through one of the doors. They were careful not to damage the pvc pipes on the basement floor surrounding the tank. They determined the best route from the basement door to the front door, and took it out without incident.

They were wonderful.... courteous.... professional.... they took really good care of our stuff.

Dennis and Mike did a wonderful job and a joy to work with. They were punctual and professional as well.

It went as I hoped. It was a hot day and they worked quickly.

They are reliable and on time. The crew was friendly. They were professional. They had insurance on our things. Everything was in perfect condition after the move.

The company was contacted about 9:00 a.m. and told us they could pick up the items and deliver them the same day. They were able to pick up and deliver my items to me between 12:30 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. The delivery men were very courteous and the delivery went very smoothly.

Jeff the owner is very easy to work with and was very up front with fees and policies. The movers were polite and careful with our belongings. We were paying by the hour and felt that the movers worked hard while on the clock. We used them for a total of three moves and everything went as scheduled each time.
