American Moving and Storage was very customer-service oriented from the original phone call to the end of the move. This was an emotional situation for me. Movers Jason and Paul were very courteous, helpful and respectful. And the all-glass curio cabinets arrived without a nick or scratch on them. I would definitely hire American Moving and Storage again.

We got their name off of Angie's List. It went very well. They were very timely and very caring. They were all about business. They wanted to make sure that they took care of the furniture and followed my instructions. They had 2 different locations to pick up and it went very well. It came in within their estimates.

From the time I called to get a price to the time they finished the job everyone was kind and polite. They were on time and gave me an accurate price.

We were extremely pleased with American Moving and Storage. From the estimate and coordination by Jeff Frank to the packing and moving by Dennis, John, Jason, and Mike, it was a great move. We have moved households about 20 times in our lives and this was the best experience we have had. We had our household goods packed and loaded in two days (usually took four days in previous moves), the two trucks were stored overnight in American's secure facility, and then the trucks were driven about 80 miles and all our furniture and belongings were moved into our new house on day three. Dennis, John, Jason, and Mike were wonderful to work with and made a difficult process pleasurable. They put things where we wanted, assembled everything we wanted assembled, and moved a few things when they did not fit in the originally planned places. They were extremely polite and always respectful of us and our belongings. We will seek them out again in our next move.

On time, pleasant, and cooperative.

They had a good rating on Angie's list, and they had the best price. I was not impressed with them at all. They were slow and scratched some of our furniture. We did not notice the scratches until after they left. They took a lot longer than they estimated. They said it would take two to three hours but they were there for four hours. They did show up when they said they would. They were nice.

They picked up the things from somebody else's house and moved it to my house. They were awesome. I think their prices are reasonable.

All 3 guys were fantastic on time, respectful of property and very fast. Entire move took only four hours and saved us over 4100.

They called ahead, arrived on time, worked fast and efficiently, were polite and friendly, and were very careful not to damage anything.

Everything went exceptionally well. I received a quick response to my initial estimate query; which was completely accurate (despite my being unable to estimate how many boxes I would have). They sent two guys and a very large truck. They arrived on time and were both professional and friendly throughout the day. They took special care of my large/breakable items; everything made it without any damage. They even went above and beyond to help me with removing my two tv's from the wall; being a single woman I'm unable to lift/remove them by myself so the guys removed them for me to move them to my new condo...a huge help! This is a top-notch moving company I'd highly recommend to anyone!

I contacted the company on Wednesday, December 14th and got my move scheduled for 2 days later. The movers (Ken and Jerry) were on time, very professional, courteous, and moved me quicker than I anticipated the amount of time I thought it would take. I had a couch, loveseat, chair, washer, dryer, full size bed with mattress and box springs, 2 dressers with a mirror, and a TV. I used the Angie's list coupon of 1/2 hour off the hourly move rate. My move may appear expensive but that is because I live in Lancaster and paid a travel charge as I could not find a reputable company on Angie's list for my area. Better safe than sorry, I believe. In addition, the movers moved a very heavy TV out of my family room to the upstairs level as we were unable to move it ourselves. That went above and beyond their duties and they were happy to do it for me. Excellent work by both men and very prompt service by Oscar at American Moving.

They came on time, stuck to their estimate and were very courteous.

We had three men who all worked quickly, efficiently, and yet carefully. The entire move took only four hours. Nothing was broken or damaged. An added bonus was that the men were cheerful.

Excellant, ontime, good communication, totally cooperative and easy to work with. I would reccommend to my friends.

The movers (Larry & Torel) arrived on time, got a bad situation under control immediately. The move was Flawless, no damage, no walls bumper. They were courteous, worked quickly & I would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent experience. They arrived promptly. Took directions well. Had the right equipment and were careful with the moves. They were careful to wipe their feet before entering homes. No problems at all. Would definitely use them again.

Over-all experience was very positive. The men who did the moving were professional and courteous. They were supposed to be there at 10:00 am and did not arrive until 12:45 pm. Other than that, it was a very good experience. We are already set up to use them again to move the items from storage to new house.

Two men on the truck arrived early and worked without a pause. The entire job including loading and unloading took only 2 hours.

Overall the move went better than I ever expected it would. They got to work right when they arrived and didn't stop until they were finished. Excellent job!

They came 4 minutes early, which I figured was a good sign. I explained what they should take and what they should leave and they loaded up boxes on a dolly. Had the whole thing done in no time. Nothing got broken. Everything was unloaded in my new place in less time then it would have taken to get my friends to show up.

The move went very quick. They were a little rough with the boxes, but nothing was problem.

A lot of negative surprises came up in this move, which we were not prepared for, nor had I ever experienced with previous movers. I selected mover based on both Angie's List and BBB recommendations. I was able to work most things out previously with Jeff over email, which I preferred. Their estimate was competitive with others I had received. So far so good. On moving day, the two men arrived late - though they called 20 mins prior to notify us of this. Upon arrival, they walked through the apartment with my husband, and began moving the washer from the basement. Shortly after which Jeff called stating that one mover could not handle the pet odor in the basement, had become terribly sick, and that they would return the washer & leave. This was the ONLY option given to us by the movers. Just to leave us stranded. I was scared we wouldn't be able to schedule another mover within the time frame we needed and many items were too heavy for us ourselves, especially as I am 4 months pregnant. So we were able to get the movers to move things from all other rooms except the basement. At this point my husband & i moved items from the basement ourselves. Given the time on the phone working this out, and then the continued time of only having one mover work while the other was recovering in the truck, I would estimate it was at least 20-30 mins with either no or only one person moving our items. We were charged the full amount for this time. Unfortunately, the surprises did not end there. Nothing in my communication with Jeff required we take apart any furniture, even in the email which listed other moving preparations they preferred. But the movers on sight declared a few of our items unsafe to move still assembled, and refused to load them into the truck. I was completely stunned by this, as had I not been notified that this would be necessary, and I have had these items moved by previous companies without any complaints. My husband then moved those that he could by himself into the truck (some of which the movers then moved into the new house - they were only unsafe at the old place?) The rest we will need to go back & get with friends' help. On the positive side, the items they did move, they did a very good job of it. They worked fast & did not damage any furniture, walls, etc. They came in their estimated time. One mover, Larry, was also very friendly and cordial, and did help my husband move the dryer from the basement. All in all it was the most terrible moving experience I have had to date. We now still have to rent a moving van for items the movers refused to move. I feel badly about the pet odor, as it was a recent development due to flood damage near the litter pan - but we had had people throughout there over the previous weekend and no one suggested it was bad enough to refuse entry into the basement. Perhaps all these things are not necessarily the movers fault, but regardless I will not be hiring them again.

My movers were amazing ! Mike would run to get more boxes, I wear that, run ! Chirs was awesome as well. I will use them for all future moves.

The movers Milton and Terry did an excellent job. They arrived on time and were very professional and efficient. They moved very quickly and finished the move under the estimated time I was given.
