Jeff at the office was helpful and gave me an estimate over the phone after I answered some questions.. My move was complicated and changed a couple of times.Jeff made all the changes I requested and confirmed the move the day before the scheduled date. Jason & Chris showed up on time and ready to work.I was very impressed with them and their work. They listened to my instructions and kept me in the loop on the progression of the move. This was a multiple location move and they loaded the truck to perfectly to stay on schedule and put everything where I asked them. They were also very careful navigating all the small spaces in the condo with all the furniture and boxes. My son was also very impressed with his leg of the move. We both would hire this company again in a heartbeat and would request Jason & Chris to do our move. They are gems and in our opinions should be given the "Employee of the Month" award!! Please thank them for us again!

excellent, the only problem and it was slight was that they were a half hour past their approximated arrival time, once there the service was quick and efficient, the movers were pleasant, careful and very helpful

The movers showed up on time, very professional, went above and beyond (helped us unload our personal trailer and put things into it as well). It was very hot but they just kept going, so quickly and so efficiently. They did an AWESOME job! I would highly recommend them to anyone even thinking about moving. Excellent...five stars!

Jason and Lee were professionals. They brought plenty of extra boxes and blankets to protect belongings. Worked hard and finished in a timely manner within the cost estimate.

Prompt, fast, and efficient!

The movers showed up exactly on time, at 8:30am. They were pleasant, polite, and professional. One was a seasoned veteran of the company--probably in his late 40s or early 50s, and one was younger, probably early 20s. The older one was kind of teaching the younger one the easier/proper way to do things. The younger one was a very good worker, and it was clear that this was not his first moving experience. They had me sign a paper, verifying the time that they arrived, and then they walked through the house to see how much they were going to be moving and so they could see how prepared I was to move. (Apparently, sometimes, they have walked into houses and the people have nothing packed, or the house is a disaster, or the people are hoarders.) I had packed everything in my house that was going into boxes, and I had already moved several (about 5) Jeep loads a couple of weeks before the official moving day. The movers moved all furniture, TVs, lamps, patio furniture, a washer & dryer, and about 20 boxes. They have a policy that they cannot move glass globes/lamp shades, so they took a couple of lamps and left the glass shades for me to pack in a box. They also will not move electronics (stereos, speakers, computers, etc.) unless they are already packed in a box, but they will move TVs. They also will not move clothing if it is not packed in a wardrobe boxes. They do provide wardrobe boxes for the day for $2 per box. The movers started with my basement (by my request), which had 2 bikes, a Christmas tree, and several boxes of holiday decorations. After the basement was cleared, I put my cat in the basement while they emptied the rest of the house. I have several new pieces of furniture (just over a year old), including a dining room table and 6 chairs and a queen bedroom suit, and everything arrived at the new house without a single scratch or nick. They wrapped my TV trays and my TV stand (so the cabinet doors would not swing open), and I was relieved to see that they put the sticky side out so that there would be no damage to the wood and no adhesive residue left on the furniture. The movers dis-assembled my dresser with a mirror, a two-tiered desk, and 3 bed frames. They re-assembled almost everything. I asked them not to assemble the desk because it was going to go up one more floor from where it was placed after some renovations were completed, but they forgot to put the mirror back on my dresser, and I did not notice it before they left. I did notice that they had not put my outdoor hanging chair back on its frame (very heavy and awkward for one person to do), and asked them to hang it, and they did immediately, apologizing for not having done so already. I did find two small scratches on the front of a chest of drawers, and I am still looking for the shelves that go inside my TV stand--they were loose, so they took them out and moved them separately--but I have a few more places to unpack, and it's possible that they've just not surfaced yet. The movers were cautious and treated my furniture and boxes with care. They took only two breaks, one during the moving-out phase, and one for lunch after arriving at the new house (3 blocks away), and they worked very efficiently. I provided water and Gatorade for them and offered to buy them subs for lunch, but they declined and ate their own packed lunches. All in all, these two men ended up moving a living room set, a dining room, a kitchen (no major appliances), 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, an office, part of a basement, patio furniture, and some things from my garage. I had packed everything myself, with the exception of clothing that was staying in dresser drawers, so that saved a ton of time and money. The move took 7 hours, from the time that the movers arrived until I paid them at 3:30pm. The cost was $688.00, and I provided each of the movers with a nice tip as well. I got the name and number for these movers from a friend, and I am very thankful for her recommendation. I am extremely pleased with my experience, and I would recommend American Moving and Storage of Ohio to my friends.

The worked efficiently and did a good job of making use of all the room on the truck. They had to take a couch apart in the loft to get it down. They were on time and took about 5 hours in total. Nothing was damaged and no one was hurt. They did a great job!

Mike M. and Jason K. were a dynamic duo--they worked exceptionally fast without sacrificing care. Confident, professional and experienced, they took on the job with enthusiasm and energy, also reassurances that I should let them do all the work! Also pleasant to talk to. Followed directions for where boxes should go, etc. to a T. Although they did not bring a clothes box for my huge hanging plant as I had suggested over the phone, Mike improvised without turning a hair--plus without damage to the plant or anything else! Also, the guys were patient when in the midst of the moving chaos I misplaced my keys and then my wallet. I can't imagine a better move experience. The movers showed up on time and got right to work. They were friendly, careful with my belongings and very professional. The movers made sure that everything was put where I wanted it. They disposed of my old mattresses for me and put together my new bed. The quote was right on target as far as time and cost. This was the by far the easiest part of my move.

We used American Moving and Storage of Ohio for a local move recently. They did a great job, and were extremely professional and efficient. Jason paid great attention to detail and asked questions before putting certain things in places. They also brought enough and more moving supplies, and did not try to cut corners. They rightly advised us that they will move the TVs as they were better equipped to do so. The only minor concern I had was with the second mover trying to take on too much himself only a couple of times, as there is always a danger that if the weight gets too much, the item could topple over and break, not to mention the more serious concern of injury to the mover. Overall a very good experience and made our process of moving less stressful.

Looked on Angie's list for a highly reputable and ranked moving company. American Moving and Storage surpassed all of our expectations even though they had an excellent rating to begin with. They know what they are doing, they work hard, and they protect your possessions all while getting the job done in a timely manner. I will be calling them again for the next time I move for sure! They made the move very easy even though we had a few challenging requests!

Mike and Chris (from American Moving and Storage) arrived promptly, professional, and with everything required to move entire household. Under harsh circumstances, heat, (hottest day of summer so far this summer), and the fact most of the furniture was located on an upper level we were more than satisfied with their speed and abilities. We never saw them take a break or slow down. We would not hesitate to use this company and hard-working men. In fact, we would request them if we needed their services again.

The move could not have been any better. Jeff, the owner, responded quickly to all my calls and was able to squeeze in our move on a day they were already full. The estimate was exactly correct and we even received the nice Angie's List discount. You can Jeff knows his stuff and cares deeply about meeting and exceeding customers' expectations. The actual movers were a two man army. I could not believe two men could move that much furniture in only 2 hours. They showed up early and were very professional. Before they started, they wanted to know which pieces they were moving and where we wanted the pieces in our new home. Also, they took the front door off the hinges and put down multiple moving blankets so they did not track in mud or dirt. The movers were very nice and carried on cordial conversation most of the move. My wife and I have a huge dual reclining sofa and the movers actually took it apart in sections to move. I couldn't believe this considering the movers we hired 3 years ago didn't even bring their own tools! Unloading all the furniture went even smoother. They put down moving blankets on all the stairwell banisters and any other area which was susceptible to scratches or dents. They did exactly what we asked them do, On a side note, the moving industry standard for tipping is only 5%. This completely boggles my mind considering they moved thousands of pounds and did an amazing job. We ended up tipping them around 30% and bought them pop and Doritos. These guys deserved every dollar. I will definitely use them next time I have to move.

I called on a Friday and asked for a move the following Thursday but they were booked so we made if for Friday. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and explained the entire process and gave me an estimate. We scheduled the move for the next Friday and they sent the contract electronically which was great for me. They called two days before the move to confirm the date and time. They showed up exactly when they said they would, were very professional and efficient. They got all of my furniture packed in about 40 minutes and we were off to the new place. They moved everything in and always asked where something went if they were not sure. In all the entire move was 1-1/2 hours which was less than the estimate. I would recommend them to anyone.

After a disasterous experience with another mover that left us without our kids "big" Christmas gift(grumble) I called these guys to move a 4'x8' air hockey table. They were AWESOME!!! Can't say enough about them. They were there early, diligent about making sure everything was packed well, made it safely and damage free around a VERY tight corner leading to our basement and even set it up for me. They were AWESOME!!!

Two men from American Moving and Storage showed up promptly as scheduled and moved our entire 2 bdr apartment + basement across town into a 3 bedroom, 3 floor home. They worked very hard. My husband assisted with some items. It took about 5 hours for the entire move. Price above does not include tip. We wish we could have tipped them more, but we are poor homeowners now.

Office staff provided estimate promptly and efficiently. Move went very smoothly (we were prepared) and the men on the truck were very helpful and courteous. Competitive pricing with no compromise in service.

The guys were efficient and hard working. They took care of my items and made me feel comfortable during the process. I feel the went above and beyond to get my belongings in my home where I wanted them. They communicated with me when they needed to and wanted to be sure my day went smoothly. I am very grateful to them all.

All items carefully moved as instructed. Two man moving team was polite professional. They worked quickly and were very efficient. OOOPS...sorry, my mistake. The cost was only $215.00.
