The movers arrived early, moved and loaded my household furnishings from a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator to my new home. There was no damage to any items and they placed my items in the proper rooms. They finished the job in the low time frame estimate. I've used them 3 times and they have been great each time!

The movers came to our house just before 9 and got started right away. They were personable, professional and even offered advice about adding furniture padding because our new house has hard wood through out. They were enjoyable and kind and we appreciate we appreciated them. They made moving so much easier!! I would recommend this company to anyone and would use them again (but begging we never have to! I HATE moving -- LOL!)

These guys are amazing. 2 men and 2 hours work was better than expected. I have used them before and will recommend and hire them again. They can handle even very large bulky furniture up stairs without any dings to walls or furniture.

The movers were on time, courteous and professional. They took great care in my furniture that is mostly oak. They took extra care and it was greatly appreciated. I was a little unprepared and they worked with me to get more things ready to load onto the truck. It was awfully hot out and they still plugged along to get this job completed in a timely fashion. I really appreciated the care that they took with my belongings. I would recommend this company to any and all friends and family.

Our move was easy to schedule and the owner had great follow up including an e-mail confirmation. Two movers arrived earlier than the scheduled time. All of my furniture arrived to our new home in satisfactory condition. The issue that I had was with one of the two movers. He entered my apartment smoking a cigarette. He was completely oblivious and my husband had to ask him to put it out. He complained most of the time we were around him about all of the stuff that he had to move and continuously attempted to chat with my husband. I wouldn't have really cared about the chit chatting,but we were paying by the hour. He criticized where we were choosing to put some of the furniture; insisting that it would go better somewhere else. We told him to put all of the remaining furniture in one room of the house and we would move it from there since the clock was ticking. After this instruction, he continued to ask where to put things. Since the price for the move was so reasonable, his lollygagging didn't add to the price too much, but it was nonetheless frustrating. The other mover was completely professional. I would use them again, but would insist on more experienced employees.

Provider was understanding of our needs (date, distance, size of move, etc), and even allowed us to cancel a second scheduled move after we early-moved some of the household ourselves. Price was good. We did run into a few minor issues, however. First, the movers almost left a bunch of items at the old house because they didn't wait for a final walk-through before attempting leave for the new house. Kudos for trying to be efficient. Poor execution, however. Move in went smoothly. Our second issue came during the payment phase. The driver wrote down our credit-card info on a carbon-paper credit card slip, but got a digit wrong on the CVV code (or, it was illegible, understandably, from the carbon slip). Later, when the provider went to charge my card, it was declined (due to using the wrong security code). So they ran it again. And again. Naturally, it declined each time, eventually locking the card out from use. They did call me (left a message) and we had the problem sorted out by the end of the day, but I had to spend time re-activating my card through the bank. Ultimately, neither of these turned into major issues, but moving day is stressful enough without having a comedy of errors. We've moved quite a bit (8 times in 12 years), and while very far from my worst moving experience, it wasn't quite the best. Customer service was good, and the movers themselves were very personable. Nothing was damaged, and I never had a problem with anyone's behavior. They also worked well around my two small children who were, at times, over-interested in the moving process: a major bonus. On the whole, I would say they were worth putting on your short-list of potential movers, based on your circumstances. Solid work for a fair price; just short of superior.

Arrived on time and worked nonstop for four hours. Pleasant and professional. I was dreading the day, but it worked out great! Dennis and Jason were super!

American Moving did a fantastic job when I moved from an apartment to a house. These guys had really competitive prices and were able to give me thorough answers when I called for my initial quote. When I called back a few weeks later after I had closed, they were booked up. Discouraged, I contemplated starting the process of looking all over again, only to have them call me back less than five minutes later and tell me they could work me in on the day I wanted after all. Everything from there went perfectly. The (two) movers showed up on time, and I couldn't have asked for them to do a better job. They even hauled an old couch I couldn't give away to the dumpster. Nothing at all was broken, and they were very conscientious about asking where I wanted things. The movers were both very friendly and professional and worked straight through with one short break. One of them even complimented my house, which is what you want/need to hear on the day you move in. The whole job took 3 hours almost exactly and was worth every penny. I had limited contact with the office, but Jeff was polite and on top of things every time I spoke to him. Definitely one of my best moving experiences.

I needed my refrigerator moved from the kitchen to the basement. The movers were prompt and efficient and took good care to move the fridge carefully without damaging the fridge or doing any damage to the walls as well. They were pleasant to work with and I would certainly consider using them again.

Excellent. Fantastic. Better than imagined! I have moved several times in the last 8 years and this was by far the best experience I have had. From Jeff Frank (hope I got the name right) giving me the quote and answering my questions, to the men completing the work, it was professional, prompt and done correctly. I had two gentlemen arrive fifteen minutes early, (I'm sorry I can't remember their names) and start working immediately. The quote given was 480.00. Plus they would deduct 45.00 for Angie's List customer's. They loaned me wardrobes for $2.00 a piece. The men loaded the truck quickly drove the 5 miles to my apartment and unloaded the truck in less than 4 hours. My bill came to only $366. I was stunned. When I was about to call out to order lunch for these guys, they politely declined, telling me they were just about finished. These two guys worked so well together, and they didn't take a break the whole time. They worked their butts off. They were so careful with my furniture, and making sure everything was centered and where I wanted it. Really good guys. You couldn't have asked for a better experience. I have used Two Men and A Truck, and Mr. Mover in the past, and a few other companies. These guys make the other's look like amateurs. Highly recommend!

Cannot say enough about the company. Had a situation where we had to do this move ASAP. They worked it out and came one hour after I called them. The movers Joe and Harry were great. Would highly recommend the company again.

Joe and David were our movers. They arrived 10 minutes before the scheduled arrival time and were very professional. They laded our condo in about two hours, and it took about 1.5 hours to unload everything into the new house. They worked very hard and were very careful. Nothing was damaged or scratched in the move. They even carried a queen mattress/box spring that we had bought that same day up to the second floor for us. I would highly recommend this company again.

Jason & Mike (the moving crew) arrived on-time and worked non-stop for 6.5 hours to efficiently and carefully move all of our stuff. They were polite, friendly, careful, and hard-working. They did a great job and would gladly recommend them to others.

They guys were great. This is the third time we have used AMS. The scheduling was easy - they strove to meet the date and time we requested. They arrived 15 minutes early. Efficient, asked questions to confirm our expectations and kept things clean, safe. Definitely recommend to any one doing a move - big or small.

It went great. They were really polite and very efficient. Even though they were paid by the hour they did it pretty much as fast as possible and did not damage anything, We did all the small boxes, they were just responsible for furniture.

Called Jeff Frank based on a friends recommendation and Angie's List feedback. He answered promptly and we reviewed the details of the move. He quoted me a flat rate of $120/hr for 3 men and a 26ft truck (minimum hours apply) with a $60 discount for mentioning Angie's List. He estimated 7-8 hours for the move. On the day of the move the truck arrived on time and they made quick work of everything. The temperature (6 degrees F) and ice barely slowed them down. Same with the unloading, safe and efficient. The men were also enjoyable to have around and we enjoyed friendly banter while they worked. They finished well ahead of schedule. Fast, friendly, cost effective. Highly recommend for any move!

I have never dealt with a more attentive moving company! I first spoke with Oscar who assured me that the job could be accomplished in the minimum amount of time, for the minimum price. I have to admit that I was skeptical, given the size of the furniture, but his estimate was spot on. Both Oscar and Jeff kept in constant contact with the store and me throughout the process, which took about a week. The delay was caused by the frigid temperatures and my work. I was very impressed that the company did its best to accommodate my schedule. They were all friendly and highly professional. Chris and Toral delivered the items on time, taking great care to protect our purchases, our floor and our existing furniture. It was a pleasure to deal with two such conscientious and personable movers. I would certainly use their services again! Thank you, guys!

They called the night before to confirm. The staff was friendly and responsive. The movers were on time. They got everything moved in under 2 hour and charged less than the agreed amount. Very professional and quick. There was no damage to the furniture. Very good service, I will use them again.

I would highly recommend American Moving and Storage - everything about the experience was positive. They moved my entire condo furniture - bedrooms, living rooms, big screen TV, entertainment center, etc. My condo sold ASAP and the new buyer wanted to close the next week. I was panicked thinking I couldn't find a company to move me that fast. But they squeezed me in one week from when i called. They were speedy and timely but worked with great care - nothing was damaged in any way. They are ranked highly for a reason - book them!
