3 men and six hours of labor was needed to move a house full of heavy furniture from Hilliard to our new home in Marysville. (the original quote was for 7-8 hours)The gentlemen that did the work were amazing to deal with. Very professional and did everything that was asked of them without hesitation. They were careful not to scratch our furniture and took great care in placement once at the new house. They all had great attitudes and were fun to work with. We were very impressed!!! Great company and great employees.

These guys are AMAZING! From the moment I called for a quote to the very last piece of furniture moved into my apartment, the customer service was nothing short of Outstanding. I really felt they were interested in making my moving experience exceptional! Oscar is so kind and very flexible with scheduling my move. I asked to change the date within one week of first date. Jeff, the owner, was very helpful. He worked constantly to make my move wonderful and easy. He contacted me before, during, and after my move to see how my experience was and if there was anything else I needed. He went above and beyond to work things so I could get my monstrous armoire into my snug apartment - it was not able to come through the door. Last but definitely not least, Henry, Ricky, Bell, and Mike are the BEST movers. They know how to get your possessions into the house without any damage! Not even a scratch! They worked tirelessly in high humidity and heat. They are a real asset for this company! Not to mention the price was the best of all. Very affordable! Don't think twice - this is the company and the people for your move! Just make the appointment and then sit back and relax! They will take care of you!

Job went well. Only complaint was them laying and outdoor umbrella on top of sofa and some rainwater in umbrella stained sofa. Also some small scratches on patio table top.

Incredible. Best service ever. They moved three heavy pianos for me, three couches, two large chairs, a table and a metal filing cabinet for $270 and in under 2 hours. very impressed and pleased, $500 cheaper than I was quoted from Two Men and a Truck, and entirely professional. Felt very comfortable with the way the pianos were handled. Turned out one of the guys used to be a professional piano mover for years. awesome.

The 3-man crew showed up on time and we very professional. They loaded up the truck and were able to add a 4th guy in the afternoon to help speed it along. Nothing got dropped or broken. Neither house got damaged from bumping walls. The lead guy Mike was actually still running back and forth between the truck and the house after a full day of moving to help us get the move done since we had to be out that day. Everything you would want for the actual move. It did end up costing more than we thought, but I think that is a common issue with movers. I wouldn't let that stop me from using them again. I still give it an A on price because the hourly rate is very comparable with others. The rate is at least partially regulated by the state. They employee who gave us the estimate did the quote over the phone based on what I told him about the contents of the house and number of boxes I estimated, but that is an inexact science depending on how much fragile stuff you have and what is located on what floors in your house, how tight your stairs are to get things around corners, if you have to take any doors off to get things out of the house, etc. What I would say is use them but ask them to come to the house to give you a cost estimate not to exceed whatever value you agree on. The over the phone estimate ended up low.

The initial contact was outstanding. However, they told me that I didn't need to purchase through Angie's site directly as they would give me the same discount. Now that I think about it I am not sure if that's a good thing or not. I was extremely satisfied with the process used for scheduling. The movers arrived a few minutes early, which was fine with me. They inspected everything and asked what we wanted moved and what was to remain. The first words out of their mouths were to inform me that if I was happy with their services, that I should make sure to give them tips. That left me feeling annoyed and pressured as that should have been disclosed up front. I'm not sure how productive these movers were. They did not want to drive their truck to the alley in order move the things out of the garage and ultimately we wound up leaving more than we should have in both the house and in the garage. We they arrived at the new location, they began unpacking and were about half done. One of the movers came out with a bug in his hand and said he found a bedbug and was no longer able to do the work. The other looked at one of the dressers, which had nicks in it and said it was damage from the bed bugs. I was appalled. They said they weren't allowed to move anything else and so what they did was take everything out of their truck and move it into the garage. They also said they should have checked closer at the house before they started. They finished doing this at 12:30 p.m. which was precisely the time they were supposed to end. Because I felt pressured, I gave them a $40 tip to get rid of them. By this point, I was stressed. We threw our mattresses away and purchased new ones which cost well over a thousand dollars. We had professionals immediately come out to assess the situation. ABSOLUTELY no evidence of bedbugs whatsoever. It's impossible for me to know what really happened as this was initially stressful; however, the drivers should be trained to assess for bedbugs before they move one piece of furniture. I chose not to contact the owner as I don't think anything positive could come from this. We were trying to save money. In the long run, we spent way more by going this route. My recommendation for Angie's List customers is to be aware that situations like this can and do occur.

excellent on time friendly and efficient

I'm really glad we found American Moving, they did an awesome job! The movers were very polite and personable, showed up a little bit early, and man did they work hard. Our move was probably a little out of the ordinary because there were people working in our house while they were moving in, and we had a bit of a walk form our rental to the driveway, but they did a great job and it went really smoothly. I also felt the price was very good...it was significantly cheaper than other companies that we got quotes from. Overall, a great experience!

Dennis and Caleb were great. They showed up early and got right to work. We filled up the 26ft truck in well under 2 hours. Got just about everything in. The new house didn't quite allow for the truck to be backed up right to the house. They had no problem carrying all items as needed. Unloaded all items in just over 2 hours. Dennis joked to help relieve some of the stress of the day. Great job guys. Thanks to Jeff for setting it up.

The movers did an excellent job, worked hard, and were extremely polite and friendly. They showed up right on time and made sure we were good with everything before they left.

Overall, it went great. The guys were cautious of moving anything fragile like glass and were very efficient organizers. I actually cant believe that much stuff fit in the truck. Nothing was broken, no walls were dinged or marked and the two men were very professional. If you can request Henry and Chris, do it :)

There was a time that I signed up for so they worked efficiently to make sure they got things done within that time frame. There was a sofa that no one was able to move for me and they were able to get that done.

Everything was great, on time, polite and professional, timely and everything put in it's place. I bought a special for my daughter and everything when smoothly. The deal was $111.00 for 3 hours and additional amount of $90.00 was paid.

I think they were absolutely amazing. They were very very punctual. They came exactly on time. They didn't charge me for like 10 minutes of work because they started their start time like at a quarter hour and it was a little bit before them so they gave me a little extra time. Then, the other thing they did that was absolutely amazing when we were moving into my apartment, there was another apartment resident that was walking the truck and creating a little bit of a problem, so we had to wait for her to move, and which kind of delayed the move a bit and they were literally jogging back to the truck with the empty dollies to get me in under 2 hours. It's crazy. They got it all moved in 2 hours.

Professional and punctual, Jason, Chris and Tony handled all boxes and furniture with care and ease. Very accommodating and finished the job in a timely manner. While scheduling the service , Oscar and Jeff were equally polite and professional on the phone. Would recommend to friends and family.

Estimate for moving items was $180. Day of move, two men with truck arrived on time, moved furniture safely and without damage to my home. Total amount equaled estimated cost.

Overall, it went very well. It took longer than I had hoped or was quoted, but I think that was because our furniture is abnormally large and heavy. Also, they got stuck during the move(along with my husband behind them) in an accident on the freeway so that added about 45 minutes of extra time as well. The two guys moving definitely weren't just sitting around, they were moving the entire time. They were super friendly and worked really hard even in the freezing temperatures. I was really grateful to have them there.

They were absolutely great. The workers were very kind and did everything I asked. They were very punctual. I would tell a friend that they explain everything to you and are just an all around great company.

The guys from American Moving and Storage of Ohio did an excellent job with our move. I was amazed with the speed and efficiency that they loaded and unloaded the truck. They took painstaking measures to assure no damage was done to furniture/property. They were professional and courteous. I don't normally post reviews but in this case I want people looking for quality moving to know what a tremendous outfit American Moving and Storage of Ohio is. Great moving services at an affordable price. My wife and I highly recommend these guys.

Everything went very smoothly. Movers arrived shortly after 8:30 AM and got to work right away. They were very courteous, and respectful of my belongings. They answered my questions without seeming bothered that I was questioning them. Movers were very efficient, moving at a good steady pace...quickly, but not so fast that they were careless. I appreciated this since I was paying by the hour. Dennis, Jake and Caleb were very approachable and easy to deal with. It helped to take away a little of the stress of moving and I appreciated this.

The service went well. They completed the move in 2 days with a crew of 3 different people. Two people came out the first day and 2 others the second day. There was a group to help pack and a group to help move heavy furniture. They were very efficient and packed well. They took good care of my things and nothing was damaged during the move. They were patient and friendly. I had no problem scheduling the move. We only scheduled for 1 day and they were very accommodating with scheduling a second day without previous notice. They showed up as scheduled and did everything they said they would.

The two gentlemen were on time, courteous and very hard workers. Kudos to them and their company.
