Arrived on time. Went straight to work, not much odor at all, he had an exhaust out of the window. He transformed my tub and tile surround, like magic it looks brand new. He was very professional and explained the care so tub could always look good. Finished promptly and totally cleaned up.

Fantastic... it's beautiful. I wish I had hired him years ago.

Jon is very personable and this was another great experience from an Angie's List referral. Approximately 7 years ago I used a do-it-yourself kit to refinish the bathtub in our rental home. Although the result was acceptable the process was terrible and I swore I'd never do it again. After our recent renters vacated our until I discovered the finish had begun to peel off of the tub so I knew I needed to call on a professional. In the interest of full disclosure I called another contractor I found on AL but after 3 messages I never received a call back so I indexed to Jon and I'm so happy I did. I left a message for Jon and he returned my call that evening. Please keep in mind that he's on job sites during the day but is very prompt in returning calls and e-mail messages. Jon was able to work with my schedule and answered all the preliminary questions I had. Jon arrived right on time and got right to work. He immediately put me at ease that he would be able to do the job and produce an excellent result. Although he explained everything to me before he started I appreciated the fact that I didn't have to 'hang around' while he worked. I was able to do some exterior work on the property while Jon worked inside. He used a powerful stripping product to remove the old finish while taking great care to protect the newly installed floors etc. in the bathroom. He vented the fumes out the bathroom window but said that if the bathroom didn't have a window he had a long exhaust hose which could be used. The end result was incredible and really added to the value of our property. The non-slip bottom he installed is a great bonus/safety feature. It's just hard to believe it's the same bathtub. We will definitely have Jon refinish the bathtub in our personal residence in the near future. He took the time to explain the proper care and warranty of the finish. It was interesting to me that Jon is also able to do repair work, fixing cracks and chips, and is able to apply his finish to shower pans and tile walls. He's been in the business for over 20 years and he takes a lot of pride in his work.

The bathtub looks great. He even told me what I should be using to clean the bathtub. He was very informative. He was a very nice gentleman. I will definitely keep his name incase I need this kind of work again.

He seemed quite knowledgeable on the phone. He seemed very friendly, professional, and reasonably priced but couldn't schedule the work until May. After the estimate, he called me and said that someone had cancelled on him and he came out to do the work. With the work being done, he is very efficient, reasonable, timely, and is overall very easy to work with.

No problems. Completed work as expected. Our bathtub's finish had worn down to the enamel. Jon responded quickly to our requests for an estimate and scheduling the work. Bathtub now looks like new, also included new caulking around tub and tile.

It's beautiful. They vented it so the smell did not come in the house. It looked as new as anything you would buy in a store today.

I was satisfied with Jon's work, punctuality, and professionalism. He made my 12-yr old, "dirty" looking shower pan look brand new again! Also, as part of refinishing, a lot of dust is created and he covered all other surfaces in the bathroom during that process. Note that due to the excessive smell, he runs an exhaust pipe from the bath to the closest outside window (which was thru our master bedroom)--so we ended up having to move a huge plant and taking out the window screen to accomplish this. No big deal--I just didn't realize we'd need to do that! As part of this process, we also replaced the glass shower door in our tub. The toughest thing was that I couldn't find a contractor that did both (to my satisfaction). So I had to coordinate removal of glass (a glass door contractor), refinishing the basin (American Bathtub Refinishers) and then installation of new glass (glass door contractor again). Jon was very accommodating in working with the timeline that we mapped out with him and the other contractor.

Great. When Jon originally refinished the tub, he gave me a 7 year warranty (one year full warranty and then decreasing payment as the years progressed). I called him, he came out right away and looked at the tub, and told me he could easily fix it that day or another time that was more convenient for me. We scheduled for the following week and he repaired the problems at no cost. He said that the peeling very rarely happens but does happen sometimes. The nicks were likely from items being dropped in the tub. (The nicks were not noticeable unless you were cleaning the tub or really looking for them and I wouldn't have called about them if not for the peeling.) I would definitely refinish a tub again and definitely use this company again to do it. His customer service is fantastic!

It was impossible to see where Jon had done his repair work. It must have been magic.

I liked everything about him-he was very punctual, professional, and he does a really good job.

I RECEIVED A NUMBER OF PROFESSIONAL OPINIONS ABOUT HOW TO FIX THE DAMAGED BATHTUB, FROM CHIP REPAIR TO REFINISHING TO REPLACEMENT (BECAUSE OF THE RUSTED AREA). JON WAS CONFIDENT THAT HE COULD REPAIR AND REFINISH THE CHIPPED AREAS WITHOUT REFINISHING THE ENTIRE BATHTUB. HE COMPLETED THE WORK IN UNDER AN HOUR, AND IT LOOKS SPECTACULAR! I CAN'T TELL WHERE THE REPAIRS WERE MADE. HE ALSO PROVIDED A ONE-YEAR WARRANTY ON HIS WORK.

JOHN IS VERY INFORMATIVE. HE SPENT TIME ON THE PHONE WHEN INQUIRING ABOUT THE WORK EXPLAINING THE PROCESS, EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION, PUNCTUAL, EFFICIENT AND CLEAN.

I HAVE A TUB THAT NEEDS REFINISHING AND I WILL BE USING HIM. HE IS VERY EXPERIENCED AND THEREFORE VERY BUSY.

WHEN I TOLD THEM I WAS AN AL MEMBER, ALTHOUGH THEY HAD NO COUPONS IN THE MAGAZINE, HE SAID THAT HE WOULD GIVE FREE NON-SLIP TEXTURING (USU $15). GREAT CLEAN-UP JOB WITH NO DUST LEFT AROUND THE BATHROOM.

AFTER TRYING TO WORK WITH ANOTHER COMPANY, I SELECTED ABR AND I AM SO GLAD I DID. I WAS HAVING OTHER WORK DONE IN THE BATHTUB AND ABR WERE WONDERFUL ABOUT RESCHEDULING ME WHEN I NEEDED AN EXTENSION. JON WAS A WONDERFUL WORKER WHO ARRIVED FIVE MINUTES AHEAD OF SCHEDULE AND WAS POLITE, COURTEOUS, EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THOROUGHLY, AND THE CLEANUP WAS PERFECT, NOT TO MENTION OUR TUB LOOKED BRAND NEW. BOTH JON AND ABR HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE FINEST COMPANIES I HAVE WORKED WITH.

WHEN HAVING THIS WORK DONE THERE WILL BE AN ODOR WHEN FINISHED. WHAT WE DID WAS OPEN THE WINDOWS AND RAN THE CEILING FANS. BY THE EVENING THE ODOR WAS LESS, AND BY MORNING THE NEXT DAY WAS COMPLETELY GONE. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE TUB FOR 48 HRS, SO GET YOUR SHOWERS IN EARLY!! :)

HAVE ONLY ONE BATHTUB IN THE HOUSE SO WE SCHEDULED THE WORK TO BE DONE WHILE AWAY. HAD TO COORDINATE OTHER WORK BEING DONE IN THE BATHROOM SO IT WAS IMPORTANT THAT EVERYONE COMPLETE THEIR PART ON TIME WITHOUT ME CALLING. THEY CAME WHEN SCHEDULED AND DID A GREAT JOB.

THIS IS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD YET W/ A COMPANY. I'VE NEVER BEEN SO IMPRESSED W/ HOW CONSCIENTIOUS THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS IN EVERYTHING HE DID TO THE EXTENT OF TAKING OFF HIS SHOES. HE WAS VERY CONSIDERATE OF MY 9 MO OLD'S SLEEPING SCHEDULE.

THEY FIXED A CHIP AFTER MY HUSBAND FELL IN THE TUB. THEY ORIGINALLY DID THE WORK A YEAR AGO. THEY FIXED THE CHIP FOR FREE.

ALSO HAD THEM DO MY MOTHERS BATHTUB and SHE IS ALSO PLEASED.

SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR THEM TO COME OUT, THEY CALLED THE DAY BEFORE AND SAID THEY WERE TOO BUSY. WANTED TO RESCHEDULE. MEMBER WANTED TO BUT WOULD HAVE TO TAKE ANOTHER VACATION DAY. WOULDNT COME IN THE EVENING OR SATURDAY.
