America's Floor Source - West Columbus

I needed to replace my carpet before listing my home. Ed from America's Floor Source came out the next day, measured, and showed me samples. He worked with me on pricing so it fit my budget. His crew arrived on time and worked tirelessly to get the job done in one day. They put everything back exactly where it was and cleaned up thoroughly. Ed called after installation to check in. I could not be happier with the results, and my home sold the first day!

My wife and I did extensive research into some of the top carpet installation companies in the surrounding Columbus area and ended up choosing America’s Floor Source – Columbus West to install approximately 1300 square feet of carpet throughout the entire second floor of our new home. While not the cheapest quote we received, we felt the positive reviews regarding the quality of their work outweighed the additional cost. We were wrong … While the carpet was of good quality and the installation of the carpet itself was good, the level of care the two-man crew that was sent was about what I would expect if I had hired folks from the Home Depot parking lot. The entire length of wall leading up our staircase was severely damaged, both with extremely dark scuff marks and with gashes into the drywall itself. The damage to our walls continued into a number of the other rooms that were carpeted, albeit not as severe as our stairwell. Given that we had just painted the entire interior of our home 3 weeks prior exponentially magnified the frustration. I fully anticipated a mark here or there along with some additional wear on our floorboards, but the sheer volume of damage is beyond the realm of “mere accident”, it is testament to workers who clearly just don’t care. After expressing my frustration to our sales rep who seemed sympathetic initially, I received a follow up call from him the following business day where he attempted to deflect by stating how paint takes 30 days to cure and he should have informed us of such but would take $150 off our over $6k total hoping that we would not harbor any lasting negative views towards the company. That poor excuse doesn’t explain gashes in the drywall itself nor does it excuse any of the other damage. Unfortunately, my issues go beyond the shoddy care the installation team displayed. Midway through our wait for our carpet to arrive, I received an approximately $750 charge from America’s Floor Source. This was due to them mistakenly billing the wrong card for someone else’s project. The lack of attention to detail is maddening. Lastly, the sales rep failed to keep us informed on the status of the carpet’s arrival and potential installation dates throughout the entire process. I have worked with several vendors for various projects in the new home and each at least sends a periodic email or text providing key updates. Unfortunately with this company, you might as well be your own project manager. Needless to say, I will be looking elsewhere for all future flooring needs and would advise others do the same if they are looking to preserve their home’s interior and avoid a massive headache.

Anyone thinking about having LVT or any other flooring installed, should visit your nearest America's Floor Source right away. If in the Polaris area, please ask for Brandon Hess, if he's still there. He is very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. I would absolutely seek him out again for future flooring needs. The installers were professional and did a fantastic job. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The carpet and the COREtec Pro Plus LVT are performing extremely well after almost 2 years. I should have had the LVT planks installed in the great room long before, having pets. I was a little concerned about the "greenness" of installing LVT, but as it is not glued down in a residential setting, it can actually be re-installed elsewhere, so it doesn't end up in a landfill. The only maintenance is regular vacuuming and I actually clean it with a mild dish soap (Mrs. Meyer's)!

We purchased carpet for our entire home. The salesman was informative and helpful. Due to our schedule, we delayed installation and they were very flexible regarding this. The installation crew worked very hard the first day in order to finish all but two rooms of the house allowing us to be able to get the bedrooms back in functional order. The installation was well done. We are very pleased with our plush new carpet.

I found flooring that I absolutely loved at a competitor of AFS. Unfortunately, the vendor could not get this flooring for several months. I contacted Scott at American Floor Source in Columbus and learned they had the flooring in inventory! Scott coordinated with me so that the day after I closed on my house, he had installers at my house. This crew was amazing. They laid about 1600 sq. ft. of LVT flooring in around five hours. The best way I can describe this crew is "organized chaos." There were maybe a half dozen installers, and each was on a mission to get a piece of the job done. There was a sense of urgency and no one stood around, even for a minute. More importantly, they did a quality job; the flooring is perfect. Two days later a crew came to install carpet and the experience was the same. I would highly recommend American Floor Source and it is definitely where I will go for future flooring needs.

We have a home built in 1890, and we're looking for the perfect Victorian carpet. My husband and I found that American's Floor Source had a wide selection of exactly what we were looking for, and our Floor Specialist Kaylee was genuinely caring about our vested interest. Her customer service and professionalism were impeccable! When the day came to get our "rug" installed, both Kaylee and her manager made an hour trip to our home to ensure proper installation. Their installation crew was precise, meticulous, and efficient - definitely top of the line! We are incredibly pleased with the entire process and will surely buy from Kaylee in the future. I will highly recommend them to my family and friends as well. We had an excellent experience with America's Floor Source in Columbus. We had a beautiful product installed on time, at a reasonable price by professional installers. Our sales person Ed worked with us to make sure we were meeting our needs. He continued working with us until the installation was complete and all our questions answered. Definitely would recommend. It went smoothly and I am very pleased with the finished results!

I provided samples of the type of carpet I was looking for. I was very direct in that I didn't want carpet that showed traffic patterns and would be long lasting. I ordered from the 2x2 sample with experienced sales person telling me this would be great carpet. I had my carpet installed on August 27, 2020 and within minutes of it being laid I could tell it was going to show traffic patterns. I received a follow up call from AFS and let them know how unhappy I was. AFS claims they contacted the manufacturer and I followed up with them and as of today 1/26/21, have not heard a thing back. I spent large amount of $ and very disappointed in the product, customer service and follow up.

Ed Kilrain was our Personal Flooring Advisor. Even though it was the busy Christmas season, he arranged to measure our floors, helped with our carpet decision, ordered it from GA and arranged to have it installed two days before Christmas. The crew who installed it did an excellent job! We were extremely happy with Ed and America's Floor Source and would recommend them to anyone purchasing any type of flooring!

It went great, they worked with us on install for when everyone was gone over break. The foreman (Chris) and his crew were awesome. There were a couple of hiccups with the previous flooring they kept me informed and updated every step of the way. Shannon was our Rep he is fantastic at what he does as well. Our floors look great and we are all incredibly happy!

The process went smoothly from start to finish. The salesman/estimator was very professional, and keep the process moving even though he was retiring a few days after he provided the estimate. After he retired, my project as handled by another person who was very good at follow-up even during this pandemic. The installer arrived right on time on the scheduled day and did an awesome job!

Ed was very responsive and worked within my budget to help me find the right carpet for what we wanted the basement to become. It is perfect and added a whole new level of space for us!

Wonderful, personalized experience from the initial quote to the install. Great price point and quality product. The installers were right on time, called with their ETA and efficiently installed 588 sq ft in 2 hours! Highly recommend them for great customer service.

We contacted two other vendors to come and measure and provide estimates. American Floor Source was the only one that followed through on measurements, product sampling brought to our home, price quote and finally installation. Our flooring advisor was Shannon Lehman. His quote for the entire job was less than labor cost alone provided by a private contractor. Shannon could not have been more helpful through the process. He was just a phone call away for questions and he was prompt following up with answers. Installers showed up on time and the job was completed in four hours. Furniture was put back in place. Area was cleaned by the installers. We are thrilled with our new flooring.

Our over all experience with America's Floor Source was amazing. It was so convenient to have Ed come to our home with Samples of everything from Carpet to Laminate Flooring. He was very experienced and knowledgeable to help us make the right decision for our flooring project as well as safe and social distancing while measuring our home for a quotation. After reviewing all options of carpet or Laminate flooring we decided to have our old carpeting replaced with new carpeting thru out the Dining Room, Living Room, Stairs and Hallway. The carpet and padding we picked out were all in stock and ready for installation. When the installers arrived they were very friendly and professional and got the job done in one day moving all the furniture, taking out the existing caret, and replacing the new and looked great. My husband and I loved the new carpeting so much we called Ed and decided to do our 3 bedrooms as well.

It was phenomenal! Garth, our personal flooring advisor, was very responsive to my multitude of questions about process and procedure for a whole house flooring replacement. He made the process run smooth. The crew assigned to our house were very friendly and punctual. They worked very hard and overcame many obstacles when doing our flooring!
