We were quoted a date everything would be ready. On that date, however, the comforter and quilt were not ready. We were moving an hour away, but had to go back to Alteration Station about a week later to pick up the items. The female who called to say it was ready said they would refund some of the cost. My son went to pick it up but they only gave him the comforter. And the owner refused to give us a refund. I had to call them about the quilt and they had to locate it. I asked them to send it because I did not want to have to drive an hour each way, just to pick it up. I also asked for an adjustment on the price, which was VERY expensive, for the trouble and gas the first time. They refused. Very poor customer service and very irresponsible with my things. Concerning their response on August 21, 2015: The situation was not quite as he described and he did not even get the items right. We dropped off 2 comforters and a tux. He did not acknowledge that a female employee told me I would get a refund but he refused it. Nor did they communicate about the delay until my son went to pick things up, only to find that the tux was the only item ready. And while he makes it seem like he offered to drive it to us immediately, that came much later. Because I could not miss work to wait for a delivery, and they had already proved unreliable, I finally told him to send them to me.

l always used this shop for my alterations (which are many) and for the most part, have been pleased. The prices are high but the quality was ok and it was at a convenient location. The last time I was there, I took a suit that I needed for a conference out of town. I was told it would be done at a certain time (which was the night before I had to leave). I ask if they were sure it could be done b/c if not, I needed to take it somewhere else since it was important to be done on time. I was assured it would be completed in time. It was not done when I pick it up and more importantly, I was not notified it would not be done. No suit for my speaking engagement. Not happy. Additionally, several times I have had pants hemmed, the thread becomes undone and I have to go in to have it re-done. They always do the re-work at no charge, but it is very inconvenient to go back into the shop.

All went well. Price to shorten pants seem a little high but the work was done well and on time.

Excellent Job!

The pants were not quite finished when we went to pick them up at the scheduled time. We had to wait an additional 40 minutes. However, the individuals working were very attentive to us and gave a small discount for the delay. The jeans fit perfectly now and the quality of work was excellent.

I took the dress in, tried it on.... the lady (very nice) started to pin the dress, took her about 2 minutes. When I was finished I waited in line - the clerk asked me if I'd like to pay today or upon pick up next week. I told her I'd like to go ahead and pay now and see what the cost would be. She told me the dress would be $150.00 to hem. HAHAHA! I seriously laughed. I paid $58.00 for the dress and there is NO way I'd pay three times that to have it hemmed. I honestly asked her, " Are you was serious?" ...... She responded saying, "well yes, there is a rush on the service and two different types of alterations." (A rush FOR NEXT WEEK SERVICE???) I politely asked for my dress back and told her, "I'm sorry, I think this a ridiculous price and I will be taking the dress elsewhere." As I start to exit the store, she says, " Ma'am, you owe us $10 for the fitting." -- ARE YOU SERIOUS? I told her there was no way I would pay $10 and walked out. I honestly felt like I was intentionally ripped off. ****In the past hour, I took the dress to personal tailor and will be picking it up tomorrow for $25.00. I curiously asked my new seamstress the time it would take to complete the job and she said.... usually about 45 min or less. Food for thought. ****

I was looking for a place to perform overnight or same day alterations on a dress I had purchased for Easter. I live in Grove City and this location is at Polaris so it is a little bit of a haul, but I was willing to drive there for their services since the rating was good on Angie's List. I called to get information on pricing and they refused to give me ANY information over the phone other than the obvious up charge percentage for the speedy service. I was willing to drive to get the dress altered, but I was not willing to drive just to get an estimate because it could have been way over my intended budget and a waste of an hour it would have taken for me to drive there and back. I realize that every dress is different, but this wasn't an involved alteration and approximate pricing would have been appreciated (such as: that alteration typically runs anywhere from $20-$35). I took my business elsewhere.

Overall, I would give them an A. They are very good.

They did a great job. They listened and took the merchandise in where I wanted them to.

They hemmed trousers and skirts, and adjusted the fit of jackets and blouses. All work was carefully done. The rates sometimes seemed a bit pricy, but it's important to consider the detailed attention for measuring and marking the clothing. Then it is done on time to our satisfaction.

They are excellent. They also do repairs. They are expensive, but they provide good services. It is a good quality job.

We would recommend them. They do good work and they correct any mistakes that they make. There is a bit of a communication problem because I can't understand the woman's accent very well, but I travel quite a distance to go there. They excel at what they do. They are punctual and they can even have it for you sooner if you pay extra.

Their prices seem high but I like the quality. They are very friendly and very quick with their services.

I'm very happy with the service they provided, and would use them again.

I was referred by a retail store clerk who also gave me a $1 off coupon, which was used on each piece. I was OUTRAGED at the cost! The alterations were very well done. However, I checked with three other alteration establishments and found the price to be DOUBLE or TRIPLE what any of them would have charged! I have since found a new alterations person. Next time, forget the verbal referral and coupon, CHECK THE LIST!!!!

My experience with Alterations Station was excellent. I had purchased skorts from a clothing store. The blind hem in the skorts didn't hold because the original blind hem wasn't taken to the edge of the material. I contacted Alterations Stations and spoke with Max about the hems. He talked me through the process and helped me feel confident his company could do the work. Typically, there is a machine that could do the blind stitching (which would have decreased the price). Since the material was thick, though, the machine couldn't be used. Edel (seamstress) hand stitched the blind hem from where the original hem was in to the edge of the material and up the side. The thread matched the material perfectly. One color was very unusual, so I was surprised they could match it. The hand sewn blind hems in each of the skorts have held through weekly wearing and washing/drying.

All pairs fit perfectly! This company truly focuses on outstanding customer service and takes great pride in their work. The prices are slightly higher than others I've used, but I don't mind paying a bit extra for the quality of the work.

They were quick to have me meet with one of their seamstresses for measuring and the clothing was ready right in the time-frame they promised.

When I dropped off the items, Max was very helpful and the try on session went very quickly and efficiently until the last pair of pants and several other customers had come in. Max handled this as best he could as he was the only one in the store. As scheduled one week later I came in and tried on everything. The shirts were fine. The pants, however, all fit too loosely in the crotch and seat areas, while the waistline was okay. I showed Max and he somewhat hesitatingly, agreed to take in more material in the seat at no charge. I came back a week later and tried on the pants. He had taken in the seat but now the crotch hung several inches down and looked completely unacceptable, from front and back. I discussed with him and he said perhaps there was too much material to take the pants from a 36" waist to a 33" waistline. So now I have three completely ruined pair of dress slacks that aren't even any good to donate to charity. Max should have told me the risks up front.

Positive. Seamstress was thorough and knowledgable and work was done well, appears high quality. Time to complete drop off/pick up was slower than necessary. Very friendly service from Max.
