Description of Work: On a Sunday afternoon, as I was about to leave the house with family the garage door failed to open. Upon closer inspection I found out the both the side cables had snapped but failed to notice that spring was also broken. I manually lifted the garage door and got one of the car out and while trying to close the door back, it came down fast and slammed on the floor as the spring was not holding the door anymore. I called All Pro Overhead and spoke to Dan Loughman who kindly agreed to come and inspect the issue early morning Monday. He arrived Monday morning as promised and after inspection provided us with few different options. Dan recommended to replace the door and spring system. I inquired about the replacement of complete system (door, spring, cables and opener) and he gave us few different options of that also. He was also offered and helped me lift the garage door so I can get the second car out, which I needed to use that morning to go to work. After considering the options I decided to go with the complete replacement. One upgrade we did was to replace the damaged garage door with and insulated one. We made the appointment, Dan came on time and finished the job as promised. So all in all I was fairly satisfied with the service and product we received from All Overhead Pro. |After couple of weeks use, we started to notice that the new motor/door we noisy and the vibration would travel through the first floor bedrooms during down/close cycle. I contacted Dan and he came within couple of days and after checking the door operations notified us that it was operating within normal parameters. After few more weeks, the noise/rattling was still bothering me so I contact Dan again and he visited our house. This time he tried to make some adjustments to the spring and opener but nothing made any difference to the noise and vibration. Eventually his finding was that there is nothing much he can do and that we will have to learn how to live with noise/vibration. Although it was not the answer I wanted to hear after getting complete new system and spending $1260 but had no choice. So now it's about two months since the original install and we are working on trying the tune out the noise/vibration not sure if we will be successful in our endeavor. But overall I am satisfied with the service enough to contact All Overhead Pro in the future if a need arise.
