He suspected a broken spring and gave me a quote upfront. He also suggested converting our Wayne-Dalton system (torsion tube, brackets, bearings, drums and spring) to a different one that would last longer & had all metal (vs. some plastic) parts. He even suggested I call around to get other quotes before scheduling the service. That was refreshing!

My appt window was 8am to 10am. I was told that I would be the first stop unless a fire station door needed service, since fire stations get priority. At 8:45 I received a call that the truck had problems but that he was still planning on coming. All Pro arrived around 9:20. Although it was later than I had hoped, it was witihin the timeframe given. All Pro fixed the door and offered to look at the other 2 garage doors for an additional $25 per door. I don't exactly remember what he said he would do, but in my mind I was thnking of it as a preventive maintenance type of service. So all 3 doors were serviced and I used a $25 off coupon, so total was $150.00.

We purchased our new home a little more than a year ago and there were some minor issues with the doors going up or down normally. Having all of the rollers replaced and all joints and springs lubricated made a huge difference. He even adjusted the spring on our double door because he noticed it sagged back down when it was in the open position.

The technician from All Pro had been out in the summer and repaired the door opener for me, and warned me then that the unit was old and would need replaced within the next year or so. The opener survived anothe six months before finally giving out (it was at least 20 years old). Shannon, from All Pro came out on time, and took about 45 mintes to completely replace the old garage door opener with a new one. That includes the amount of time he took to to give me a lesson about all the features of the door opener. He put the light bulb in it for me and even programed it to work with my car's open buttons so I didn't have to use the door opener gadget, just press a button on my car's dashboard! The new unit is much quieter, and the signal strength is also stronger because I don't have to be so close the garage to make the door open.

Description of Work: The spring on our garage door broke at 3:00 this afternoon. After checking Angie's List, I called All Pro Overhead Door Systems. I was surprised when I was told that someone could be out to replace the spring yet today. Shannon arrived at 5:00 and he stayed until he completed the job around 6:00. He was very personable and he was very thorough in the repair. The door works better than it ever did before. He took the time to make sure that it was right, even fixing mistakes that had been made by a previous company. I would definitely recommend this company to others.
