A $30,000 45 day project turned into just under $50,000 over 4 month project and still unfinished? At first they seemed friendly and reasonable and we trusted their verbal promises. They kept asking for time extensions, and adding to the original price quote despite the cost they incurred on us due to the delay ($13,500 in extra rent, cost of having to fix things ourselves or hiring addition help to finish the mess they left behind, etc). When we complained and asked them to finish before we pay anymore they threatened us with legal action and increase in charge.
Description of Work: Added small shower stall (floor was not inclined toward drain, no threshold at door) Added 2/3 glass dividers (no sliding window to pass items through, one divider was only halfway installed with the temporary space holders still there instead of being secured) Added glass door (no complaints) Added sinks (no complaints) Added lights (not the chandeliers we had discussed but tolerable) Asked to add glass display cabinet (not cabinet but glass shelf added instead, no locks, no drawers(miscommunication)) remodeled walls, painting, wiring etc. (wiring was left unfixed(lack of light switches, misswired switches), not all phone and internet jacks were in working condition(some were even left hanging out of their sockets, some rooms didn’t have jacks at all), but floor and carpeting had no complaints) sound system was not installed (wires dangling visibly from corners where speakers were meant to go) missing locks on many doors did not replace missing support beam for countertop, did not drill holes on counter top for wirefeed
