I've used them a long time. They've always seemed good. As far as I know they did a thorough job, I just don't know much about furnaces but I'm sure he must've checked everything for me.

The installation went well and I would have given all excellents but for a week after I smelled gas. (They did tell us we could expect a new furnace smell.) I kept complaining to my spouse who insisted that there was no gas smell. Finally after a week we called the company back and there was a small natural gas leak. So for this reason I downgraded them. The company has maintained our furnace and A/C for many years and has always done an excellent job. I realize this could have been serious but we should have called sooner.

Not well. Rarely responds to emails or phone calls. Rarely follows through when "he" said he would do something. Always an excuse - "out of town", "haven't heard back" etc etc. "He" kept telling me the final inspection was being scheduled but it hadn't been until 2 days ago after I asked again. "He" kept telling me he has submitted "several" extended warranties to Generac and "hadn't heard back", that someone from his office would follow up but they never did. I called Generac myself and was told that there was no extended warranty submitted for my property address. The female in the office originally identified as the "manager" also is non-responsive. Would not recommend or use Air-Flo again.

The technician, Scott, checked both the outside and inside units, and he found nothing wrong. Then he tested the Nest thermostat, and he could not find anything wrong with it. He did a test on the thermostat wiring, and the AC functioned normally. I called Nest tech support. Scott got on the phone with them and through some testing directed by Nest, it was determined there was a defect with the Nest thermostat. Nest is sending the replacement part. Scott was very professional, and I am extremely please with the service he provided. I use Aire-Flo yearly for my generator maintenance, and my experience with that has been the same. Thanks much!

These guys worked so hard pulling the gas lines and wires trying to get everything hooked up. They worked all day long with no breaks and did an excellent job. They are a friendly, family, and trusting business. Don, the leader, he is outstanding and has been with the company for a long long time and I would trust him with all work in my home.

I knew we would get quality because of the company's history but was pleasantly surprised when Steve came out to give us an estimate. It was right in line with the others and was a little lower than one. The work was done in a timely manner. The technicians were friendly, helpful, and efficient. We have had no problems after almost 6 years and our utility bills are much lower. I would recommend this company to anyone and the only reason I had not written the review earlier is that I wasn't a member of Angie's List. Note* I am guessing the actual cost as it's been awhile.

I have used Aire-Flo for maintenance for our furnace and air conditioning. This morning, when the temp outside was 2 degrees our furnace quit working. I called the company and they sent a technician out later in the day. Mike was very thorough and professional, and now our house is warm again. Great company to work with.

Well, of course, the hottest day of the year and our heatpump (all electric house ? air conditioner/furnace) decided to stop working! I called Aire-Flo (who had installed the system and had done maintenance work on it) and Isaac was here in about a half-hour (he was already in the area, lucky for me). He checked out our heat pump and explained he could do a ?quick? fix but there was no guarantee that it would work. My husband and I knew our system was 20 years old and we were on borrowed time. The cost of Freon and parts needed did not justify the expense. We decided it was time to purchase a new system. After talking on the phone, Don Gartin came to the house to give us the estimate for a new system. He explained 4 different systems to me and recommended the least expensive one!! Can you believe it? A person that is not high pressure and tells you what he has and what he would sell his friends! I was impressed. We went with his recommendation! Don, Rico and Chris came on Monday to install the new heat pump and air handler. It was pouring down rain! They put up a canopy and continued to work. They were very professional. While Don was making the final inspection, Chris and Rico explained the new thermostat to me. They were extremely patient while explaining the programmable thermostat and did not leave until I understood how to program it. I was impressed with the Aire-Flo personnel- Kimmy (in the office), Isaac, Don, Rico and Chris -they were all so friendly, personable and willing to answer all my questions. Thank you Aire-Flo for putting the customer first!

Overall--it was flawless! We called Kimberly White, Aire-Flo Service Administrator, asking her for an on-site evaluation of our home and an estimate to provide full electrical service for the whole house in a stand-by natural gas powered generator. We have had great success with Aire-Flo with their maintenance agreements for our furnace & air conditioner (both purchased from Aire-Flo) and knew we would be pleased with their product, and follow-on service. Don Gartin, Installation Manager, promptly appeared and did a walk around after asking us specific questions on what we were looking for in a generator. Don then reviewed for us options to include costs of different sizes and types of generators before providing his recommendations for alternatives. Once we selected an option, Don took it from there. Trisha Neece, Aire-Flo Executive Facilitator, walked us through our preparatory actions with Columbia Gas and worked with us on our schedule. Aire-Flo obtained the City permits and on the appointed date, completed the installation. They then set up a convenient date for the City inspections and the initiation of the service contract procedures. We were impressed with the caliber of the Aire-Flo employees throughout this process; smart, neat, timely, and professional in every respect--additionally, Installation Manager Don Gartin, is an absolute delight to work with--no sales hype, candid, a wonderful sense of humor, and he kept us informed every step of the way. We have enjoyed working with Aire-Flo for years through our other maintenance agreements and know this same professionalism and concern for the customer will be found in their execution of our new maintenance agreement for this home generator. We always know with Aire-Flo we can call Service Administrator Kimberly White if we have any questions or concerns--she's great!

The result was a professional installation a few months later. The product is superior and we are most satisfied with the product and the company. Three man crew arrived about 9 A.M. and installed generator with all electrical wiring and connection to the natural gas line. All work and cleanup was completed by 5 P.M. Workmen were professional and courteous and did an excellent job. They returned 10 days later to change the oil and will be back in a year for first annual maintenance checkup. We're very pleased.

It was a bigger job than we first thought but they still finished it up in one day working until everything was up and running needing to come back the following day to do some touch up painting of the gas line and restore the landscaping. I did alot of price checking on the internet sites and found that the cost of the whole job reasonable for the performed.The one day install started at 9:30 AM and finished at 7:00 PM. with a few minor next day follw up items.
Description of Work: We had a whole house 20 kw generator installed. Aire Flo did an exceptional job. Steve gave the quote and is extremely knowledgable about backup generators and what best fits your needs with severeraloptions as far as size and price. The crew they sent out did a great job, they had two guys installing the natural gas line connection, while two others did the electrical and one other guy running to get parts as needed. The install took longer than usuall because they had to update our power panel to current city codes, which caused alot of rewiringbut still the quoted price didn't change. Even follow up after the electrical and gas line inspections is great helping to restore the landscaping back to the way it was before the install. Everything was done professianally and clean up was excellent.We would highly recommend them for generator sales and installing.

Excellent experience. I called at noon on a nearly 100 degree day and a service technician was at our house in about an hour. The technician was friendly, professional and courteous. He had to do a lot of troubleshooting, and thought it was the compressor. But, due to the cost of a new compressor and because the unit was overheating he wanted to wait until the next morning to check the unit again. He and another technician came early the next morning, determined it was not the compressor, but rather the capacitor, which saved us a LOT of money! 30 minutes later we had nice cool air.
Description of Work: Did trouble shooting for our a/c unit that stopped working. Replaced the capacitor.

They have a service contract with me. I have used them forever because generally for air conditioning, people are hard to trust. I think they are decent to work with. Even if I have any minor problems, I hate to switch because of the old expression that says the devil I know, is better than the devil I don’t know. I have a good working relationship with them. My overall experience with them was good. I would say that their quality is good because some of the guys are great and some of them are new. I would continue to use them in the future.

Got a post card from Aire-Flo as a reminder for annual furnace maintenance. My oil-fuled furnace was running fine, just wanted routine maintenance done. When service person came out he came into the house without any tools. He took cover off of my oil furnace and told me that I needed to have the furnace cleaned by another company before he could service it. He gave me the name of another company (Pringles) to call and said he would come back to do the rountine maintenance after the furnace was clean. Problem is, I've owned the house for 30 years and have NEVER been told I needed to use two different companies in order to maintain my furnace. The service guy said I would not be billed until they came back after I got the furnace cleaned. They sent me a bill within a week. When I called back to question them on needing to call a different company to clean this, was told the same thing, but bill was reduced to $0.I called two or three other furnace companies and was told by all of them that they did the routine cleaning themselves and I would not need to call two different companies to have my furnace maintained. Went ahead and had one of them come out. This other company (Evans Heating out of Newark) took care of my furnace without any problem. One job done by one company!

It is our policy that if the heat exchanger on an oil furnace, that needs burner service, needs to be cleaned that this is done by a company with the proper tools to do so, this is why we recommend Pringles because they have the high powered vaccum equipment to perform the cleaning of the heat exchanger portion of the furnace properly. Most heating and cooling companies do not have equipment powerful enough to get the job done right so we prefer to recommend Pringles for this while we take care of the burner service/cleaning. This is in an effort to provide the customer with the best service possible. We have been in business for more than 60 years and take pride in serving our customers with integrity and will continue to attempt to "do the right thing" by our customers. Unfortunately the member was unable to see that we in fact were trying to hold true to this vision with her and we are disappointed that she felt that we were not living up to our standards of going above and beyond for each and every one of our customers.

I did not hear from anyone until around noon on 1/23/11, roughly seven hours after I had called their answering service for "emergency service." The guy that called (Steve) said I should have mentioned that I had a lapsed service contract and that the guys on the weekends "don't care." By then I had had another company out (Favret), and we had determined it was the furnace igniter. Aire-Flow didn't even call to tell me their service techs were running late or anything. Literally, the first time I heard from them was seven hours later. When he called, Steve said he could send a tech out to look at the part I needed, and if they didn't have it, they wouldn't charge me. On that they were true to their word - but the tech didn't even show up in my driveway until 6 pm that night. (No, they didn't have the part. Yes, they did not charge me for the trip.) So I guess I won't be calling on their company again. It takes them way too long to respond to a crisis.
Description of Work: My furnace went out around 4 am on a Sunday, 1/23/11. I called multiple companies, but Aire-Flo first, because I had a service contract (it had expired 9/2010). The answering service took my call shortly thereafter and said the on-call would be in touch.

To review, here is the time-line of events 2005--No issues with AC unit performance (purchased home in Sept 2004) Aug 2006--noticed house was not as cool as it had been. Aire-flo service call on Aug 7. charged $137 for service and R410 refrigerant. Aug 2006--Issue not resolved, Aire-flo second service call on Aug 28. Installed incorrect Coil and TXV on Aug 31, charged $458. July 2007--extremely poor performance of until. Called second company for service call charged for refrigerant and service (Have also contacted this company) 2008 & 2009--extremely poor performance searched for solutions including redesign of duct work and installing booster fans. May 2010--engaged third company to quote us a price on the redesign/boosters. This company discovered the original mistake from Aug 2006. I have reviewed the usage data (attached above) and would like to point out some obvious conclusions: Looking only at the summer billing months, May to September (when the AC unit is primarily engaged), we can leverage 2005 and 2006 as a baseline. Against that baseline there is a substantial and consistent jump in KWH for each of the next three years (monthly detail below): Even taking into consideration average temperatures etc, the vast majority of this change must be due to the Freon Coil & TXV icing up and turning my Puron AC unit into an energy hog, swamp cooler. Please note this isn't my opinion but the opinion of several HVAC companies that I have contacted and the manufacturer. As the table below summarizes, the increase over the 2-year baseline comes to $1267.77. I look forward to hearing back from you within the next week on your assessment of what reimbursement would address this situation. We did not hear anything back from the president of the company in over 2 weeks after we submitted this information. After letting him know we would be following through with multiple complaints, he contacted us but reported that he did not know anything abou tthe complaint. We have many emails detailing the issues and how they have fixed the problem. They are refusing to consider reimbursing us for the items that they charged by installing the incorrect part, service call fees that we spent in trying to correct the issue with other companies or the utility expenses that were unnecessary and essentially overcharged. We are extremely disappointed in this company for not handling the claim and reimbursing us properly. We have given them an opportunity to correct the matter and the decided to ignore the issue at hand.

They did a great job. The representative came in with the estimate. He was very informative and descriptive about what needed to be done, why it was needed to be done, how it was needed to be done. He also made suggestions on what didn?t need to be done, etc. All around it gave me a good impression. The workers did a very professional job. They cleaned up. They got the job done. The price was comparable to what they had estimated.
