They were great

Brian and his assistant, Matt, replaced all the trim and interior doors in our home and the change is remarkable. How often can you say that a project turned out better than you thought it would? That is how we feel about the work that Brian did. It looks that good! He is a true craftsman.

We hired Brian to tear out our old flooring (carpet, hardwood and tile) in our kitchen and great room and install engineered hardwood and new baseboard. He and his assistant did a fantastic job and the quality was outstanding. He was creative in the interfacing with other rooms and added detail wood crafting to make the finished floor look outstanding. I would highly recommend him and hire them again for future projects. We also added a few other small projects which were professionally done. He's easy to be around and cleans up daily.

We were in need of a finish carpenter to install doors, install finish trim around the doors and windows as well as install unfinished hardwood floors in a bedroom addition. We could not have been more satisfied with the work that Brian and his son, Toby did. The quality of their work was outstanding and both of them were professional, prompt and hard workers. I have pretty high expectations and the finished product actually exceeded what I was hoping for. I plan to use them again when I need additional work done.

The team was flexible and we started with two rooms and when I saw the work ethics, I had them do all four rooms. That was a year ago and the floor does not squeak, is solid and people that see it are WOW! And when I tell them the price for almost 700 square feet of real oak flooring (they were at a loss for words).

Brian and son Toby did it all--including installing flooring and baseboard, custom staining the replacement door and trim, and even tweaking a door that didn't quite close correctly. They finger-jointed the flooring to make it join seamlessly with the rest of the house. No surprise "extra" costs; in fact, they moved the furniture and even took some of our junk away for free. Great price; great work from beginning to end from two down-to-earth pleasant and honest hard-workers.

They made my home look super awesome!!!! They found my new 3 pane slider was not adequately supported from below, causing the new door to sag and stick. Fixed that and then replaced the subflooring. Re-did the bamboo flooring in the living room that suffered damage from the leaky door. Replaced my interior doors and trim throughout the main floor. Brian and his son Toby did an awesome job!!!!

I hired Brian to replace old carpeting, to add interior doors to create a den/a guest bedroom out of an unused dining room, and to re-do the nightmarish traffic jam created in a high-traffic area by 3 doors all opening into each other. The project grew, as these things go, and Brian also re-did the floor in the laundry room, removed a soffit that kept us from stacking washer and dryer, and repaired deck stairs. Brian did a terrific job on all these projects! I can't wait to bring him back to work on another area of the house. From the start, contacting Brian and making an initial appointment was very easy. He responded to texts and was available to meet on a fairly short notice, and on a weekend. He gave us initial estimate on the spot, on Saturday, and started the work on Monday. I was very happy that he was able to squeeze us into his schedule, so floors can be redone quickly and at a time that was convenient for us. Brian was the one who recommended we look at vinyl plank floor instead of carpeting or laminate. I never even heard of such a product until Brian mentioned it. It looks like wood, but unlike wood, it does not scratch and is completely waterproof. It worked perfectly for our needs to have pet- and kid-resistant waterproof floor. A week after install, our washer dumped water on the newly-installed floor in the laundry room. Thanks to Brian's recommendation and install, the new vinyl plank floor held all the water upstairs until we mopped it up. The home office directly underneath didn't have a drop of water on the ceiling and all the documents stayed safe and dry. Brian and his son Toby showed up on time, every day, and worked hard. I felt I could trust them to work on the house even when I was not there. The did a lovely job and the finished product looks really good, from floors to doors to deck steps. Brian went beyond the call of duty on the project and re-did the wobbly steps inside the garage, too. I am looking forward to working with them on more projects!

We hired Brian Banyard from Affordable Interiors after getting 2 other quotes from reputable, well known wood flooring installers. We were in need of someone who could quickly remove most of the flooring on the first floor, which contained a large amount of tile, as well as a small amount of laminate and carpet. Brian and his son Toby quickly removed all flooring, making minimal mess, and cleaned up well afterwards. Brian and Toby then installed hardwood flooring in all areas where previous flooring had been removed. We were very impressed with the quality of work they provided. This was a large, expensive project, and we fell confident Brian and Toby were the best to get this job done to our satisfaction. We have a step down into our great room that is on a curve. Brian was able to skillfully cut each board so that it butted up against the preexisting wood on that curve seamlessly. He then hand sanded the preexisting wood and stained it to match the new floors. It looks absolutely beautiful. We mentioned to Brian that the rubber flap was missing from the bottom of our backdoor and he took it upon himself to purchase and install the replacement, free of charge. Brian and Toby were very prompt, showing up at 8 am and leaving between 4-5 pm. One night Brian worked extra late to complete some work. Brian and Toby are a friendly, honest, hard working father/son team who take pride in their work. I felt comfortable having them in my home when I was and was not at home. My children felt comfortable with them in the home. The job was completed in about 2 weeks, which was quicker than we anticipated. Brian has been in this business for a long time and is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Brian and Toby of Affordable Interiors to complete any project you may have, whether is be small or large.
