Description of Work: Requested an on-site estimate to replace my leaking roof. A representative wasn't available to come to my home for two weeks, partly due to Thanksgiving Holiday. There were three things that I disliked about Able's estimate. First, the representative was unwilling to disclose the manufacturer of its RoofGuard shingles. RoofGuard is Able's house-brand. This makes it hard to compare to other shingles made by Owens Corning or CertainTeed. Second, the representative essentially forces you to sign a contract immediately to get the "discounts" (that totaled $2,000). Furthermore, Able wanted half the money up-front ($4,661 of the "discounted" price). While I was advised that the money was 100% refundable if we decided to go with another roofing company, I didn't want to chance it. Lastly, the representative recommended that there was still time to have the roof and decking replaced prior to year end. Due to its "proprietary" technology, he claimed it was safe to install the shingles at temperatures as low as 32 deg. Unless the shingles are made of aluminum (and they weren't), even I know that shingles are too brittle at temperature to be installed without shortening their lifespan.

Description of Work: The work was preformed in a very timely manner. All construction debris was taken away. Except for the new gutters on my house, I didn't even know they'd been there. :)

Description of Work: Able Roofing provided exemplary customer support; where their true value shined was calling them in after I'd received estimates from other contractors. It certainly wasn't the cheapest roof construction available, but it was the highest quality - they even gave me their mid level rated design for just $500 more than their first level roof - the job coordinator helped me save over $3500 with my negotiation along with available discounts and promotions.

Description of Work: Full roof replacement. Excellent clean up. I only found 2 nails.

Description of Work: We have a solar tube located above our main bath. A week or so prior there was a heavy rain and water came in via the solar tube. Upon inspection, a small break in asphalt roof surrounding the solar tube was found. It was patched within an hour. No leaks have been apparent since the patch.

Description of Work: New siding, recapped & tuck-pointed chimney, repaired roof shingles. There was considerable delay in getting started due to continuous rain in June. But once they got started, it moved along quickly. Different teams handled each of the 3 jobs (chimney, roof, & siding) & all did a great job. Appreciated that the project manager came by after all was done to review with us & verify everything was done to our satisfaction. He even took pictures of the roof to show where the shingles were repaired. I was thrilled that we got a 5 year same as cash loan due to our great credit rating.

Description of Work: New shingles on house and garage. New gutters were also put on garage.

Description of Work: Chimney tuck pointing. He did a great job - removed al the old joints and replaced them with the proper mortar and sealant. My chimney was leaking before and is now completely dry, and we have had some very hard and long downpours - so I am very happy.
