+ -1 moreDiane was very informative in the interview but the end result was not what the product sample showed. Diane did come back and continue the project to get closer to the look we were communicating to her. Main point: Diane says that Faux work is messy and to wait until the end product. My point is not to wait - the end is too late. If the work is not looking/appearing to what was contracted. Speak up even is you are told to TRUST. I believe my job was just "too little" and Diane appears to like the larger jobs. Please remember that Diane did come back and finally delivered the work we contacted. But if we had not communicated our dissatisfaction the correction would have never happened. Please do not let this report sway you away from Diane but instead to remind you to be upfront and very decisive in your communication. Diane is very experienced in her field.
Description of Work: Venetian plaster in kitchen area & strips in dining room.

+ -1 moreCOMPANY WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AT FIRST, AFTER WE REQUESTED AN ESTIMATE. THEY CAME TO OUR HOME QUICKLY. SHE THEN EMAILED THE PROPOSAL, ALTHOUGH WE HAD MENTIONED THAT WE NEEDED A WRITTEN PROPOSAL ON HER LETTERHEAD. WE DID NOT FEEL THAT WE SHOULD HAVE TO EXPLAIN WHY WE NEEDED IT ON LETTERHEAD. HOWEVER, WHEN WE RESPONDED TO THE EMAIL REQUESTING THE WRITTEN ESTIMATE/PROPOSAL, THE COMPANY SAID THAT ALL WE HAD TO DO WAS PRINT THE EMAIL. WE WROTE BACK EXPLAINING WHY WE NEEDED IT ON LETTERHEAD, (FOR PROOF OF THE CONFIRMED SOURCE OF THE ESTIMATE) AND WE ASKED FOR A WRITTEN ESTIMATE. WE NEVER RECEIVED A WRITTEN ESTIMATE ON LETTERHEAD AND WE RECEIVED NO FURTHER COMMUNICATION FROM THIS COMPANY. WE CALLED THE COMPANY TWICE (WITHIN A PERIOD OF A COUPLE OF WEEKS) AFTER OUR EMAIL COMMUNICATION. THE LAST TIME WAS YESTERDAY MORNING AT 8:00 AM AND NO RESPONSE, YET. I THOUGHT THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AT FIRST, BUT NON-RESPONSE IS UNPROFESSIONAL. WE WILL NOT USE THEM.
Description of Work: WE DID NOT GET PAST THE PROPOSAL. THE ESTIMATE WAS PRETTY STEEP IN PRICE. THAT IS NOT WHY WE CHOSE NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY. WE FELT THAT NON-RESPONSIVENESS WAS UNPROFESSIONAL. I WILL CONSIDER RETRACTING THIS BAD REVIEW IF COMPANY CAN PROVIDE A REASONABLE EXPLANATION FOR WHY THEY DIDN'T CALL BACK WITHIN A TWO WEEK PERIOD, AND DIDN'T RESPOND TO SECOND EMAIL.

+ -1 moreWE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK, THEIR FLEXIBILITY IN DEALING WITH OUR TIGHT TIME SCHEDULE (THEY EVEN WORKED ALL DAY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY), AND THEIR WILLINGNESS TO LISTEN TO WHAT WE WANTED AND TO TRY AND SAVE US MONEY ON THE COSTS.
Description of Work: DIANE AND CHRIS DID EVERYTHING, FROM REPAINTING PLAIN WHITE CEILINGS, TO A FULL ROOM PAINT JOB, TO TOUCH-UP OF AN EXISTING FAUX FINISH, TO REMOVING AN EXISTING BORDER AND INSTALLING A NEW BORDER.
