They were timely. Its a restaurant that they actually did the work. They were profesional and they got the work done. They called before they came.

They would not give me a break down of the price, just a total price. His said he did not have to by law. The owner would not even talk to me on the phone, he would talk to his plumber on his phone 3 times in front of me but would not talk to me. The bad thing was I didn't have a choice at this point, I had to go with him. It was Friday afternoon, I could not wait until Monday. The only reason I know of not to give a breakdown of price for the work being done is to be hiding something. all he wanted to do was argue about it. After he left I saved the old pump and called a plumbing warehouse to get a price and my cost was $319.60. He charged me $1260.00 for the job and it only took him 1 1/2 hours. $941.00 profit for 2 1/2 hours work. I think I found the reason he did not want to break down the price.

The plumber came a little later than the time window I was given, but not much. He was very friendly and assessed everything quickly. He had all the parts on the truck and started working right away. It did not take him long to finish with everything. He showed me the reset button and how to use the wrench on the disposal and had me check all his work after he installed the faucet. After replacing the toilet seat, he also checked the subtle drip that we had in the toilet. He made a slight adjustment and it seems to have stopped the drip. That was not in the original work order, but he looked at it anyway. He was done with everything in about an hour. I would use them again.

Great decision to hire A-plumbing. He was super-punctual, with next early-morning service. He took extra care to wear "booties" when he entered our beautiful home. He also put "booties" on his large auger when he took it to our outlet downstairs. I appreciate those steps. Each step of the way he told me what was needed and the cost. Actually, I couldn't have asked for better service. I used my Angie's coupon, which seemed to help with the cost.

I must say the plumber arrived as promised. And, since I had called at 5 pm , right at closing time, the fact that they were able to get a plumber out the first thing in the morning ( 7:45 am) was appreciated. The work was good. BUT pricing was crazy! first there was a service call fee ($45), then there was a feel to replace the wax ring, which we provided ($109) then there was a very large fee to replace the flange ($280!) so, The Overall fee and tax was over $400. Fortunately we were given a discount because we had found them on Angie's list so it brought it down to $375. The problem with all plumbers is, once they do show up, you are kind of a hostage. I was not going to go without a toilet......, So, of course I wasn't going to tell him that the prices he was saying were unacceptable! This plumber said " The book price on this is....." Sounds a lot like price controls. Would I use them again, if, given the opportunity to shop price in advance , and they came in close to all other quotes, Yes. If I could find another company, with batter rates, probably not.

I had originally scheduled a service call with The Waterworks. They called me on the day of service and said they had some problems and could not make my service call that day. They offered to come out on the following Saturday. I really needed the toilets fixed, so I called A Plumbing. The lady who answered the call was courteous and professional. They amazingly showed up within 2 hours and finished the job within 45 minutes. The service worker was kind, professional and explained what he was doing. He then showed me the finished job and made sure everything was working - while in my presence. I was so happy they could make it on the same day. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber...and I will call them again myself. Thaks for great, prompt service.

It well very well, introduced himself, I showed him where the problem was. He had everything he needed in his truck. He came early and he left early, he was very timely and kind.

I have used them in the past in the past and they always done a great job.

2nd time using them. Very professional.

Everything went well. He called prior to arriving at the house. Looked at the two issues I was having then explained what he thought the issues were, let me know his pricing structure and he proceeded to do the work. He was finished within an hour, did not have parts to fix sink, so he replaced it with a new fixture. Everything has been working well since. He also called me the next afternoon to see if everything was working well (loved that, great customer service!).

They were good. He came when he said he was gonna be, did what he had to do and he didn't make any mess. He is great.

I was very pleased with the service even though it was very routine.

On Tuesday, when my pipes were frozen and I had no water, I called a bunch of plumbers who told me it would be Thursday before they could get to me. A-Plumbing got to me that same day. Andy showed up and told me he could cut open the wall and thaw the pipes out but I would end up paying for him to be there for hours. He told me I could probably thaw them out myself by placing a small space heater near the wall. When they did thaw out 10 hours later, I found they had cracked and I had water coming into my utility room. I called back and left a message before they open. Andy showed back up by 9 am. He cut open the wall, replaced a number of pipes, and also replaced the shut off valve because he said plastic ones break too easily. He told me that, had he done the work on Tuesday, I may not have had water to clean up in my utility room but my bill would have been much higher because he would have been there hours thawing out the pipes. I appreciate that he tried to save me money. He was nice, polite, professional, and did a really good job. I paid a total of $375, which wasn't bad since he was there twice and did a lot of work. He also cleaned up after himself quite well.

They seemed to fix the backed up drain which is nice...but very expensive! Left a mess and did not even move back washer or dryer

The person they sent really enhances their company. Brian was wonderful and he did an excellent job and he was very professional. I really like that they tell you what you need now and what you may need later without scaring you.

The plumber did not show up, did not call, and does not have a manned phone or voice mail to report the no show. Totally unprofessional.

The tech showed up at the beginning of the estimated time. I showed him the toilet that was not flushing correctly. He had the part in stock and was able to fix the toilet in a few minutes. I asked also him to check the bath for leaks. He did. I thought the price was high for replacing a part and there was a trip charge on top of the standard work fee. I could understand a trip charge if I service is not performed but not when they are actually hired. If I had known about the trip charge when I called for an appointment, I would have called other places. The only reason I said 'no' to rehiring is because of the trip charge and pricing seemed high for the amount of work done.

Very smoothly, on-time and cleaned up everything

We called first thing in the morning and they were able to get us in the same day. The receptionist told me what time they would be coming and they call 30 minutes before they arrived. The repair person was very professional and provided me a detailed estimate before he did the work. The work was done quickly and he cleaned up where he was working. We were pleased and would recommend using them.

Job went very well. Leak was discovered on Friday 9/6 and after calling other plumbers who were not available to come out until about 3 days later called A-Plumbing who I got off of Angies List. They came out within 2 hours of call and completed job. Everything completed to our satisfaction.

I thought the plumber was very informative and gave me a lot of information willingly. Their prices were very reasonable. They showed up on time and were prompt. They called me beforehand and informed me when they would be arriving. I would recommend them to others.

I seen the company ad when I searched Angie's List for a plumbing excavating company. I found this vendor and another because they had coupons. Mr. Wolfe responding rather quickly gave me an estimate the same day. He was even willing to work with the City of Columbus on my behalf to get the portion of the job scheduled. Once we had come up with a price I could afford he started the process for the work to begin. The work was performed within two days of me paying my deposit monies. I am extremely pleased with the work, as well as the clean up process. The men that were on Mr. Wolfe's team were very responsive to my questions and left me with only to plant grass seeds to have my yard back the way it was.

Called on a Saturday at 6:30 pm expecting a voice recorder. Instead David, the owner answered. We briefly talked about the repairs I needed and that he would call me on Sunday to schedule since we were under a time constraint with the closing of our property. I didn't hear back from him and had to call him again on Monday to schedule, which really was not a big deal. The plumber that they sent did all the work in a couple of hours but told my wife he could not tighten one of the spouts that need to be done. He said that he had done all he good and could't figure it out why it was loose and that the only alternative was for us to purchase a new spout ($300-400). I spoke with David , the owner and told him that I was not satisfied with that answer and if they couldn't do the work then I wanted a refund of 1 hour labor ( the plumber told me that he spent 45-60 minutes of the loose spout). The owner said he would rather do a refund and would send the same plumber back out. I made sure that I was home when he came the second time. He took the spout off the sink, put it back on and it was still very loose. Said he just didnt know why it wouldn't tighten. He then handed it to me. I flip it over and yammmooo.....there it was... the flange was sticking out too far thus creating an unstable base that wobbled. After I pointed it out the plumber took the spout to his truck, tighten a flange so it wasn't sticking out and ...presto.... it tighten without a problem. The moral of the story.....if hadn't of been there we would of ended up spending another $400 for a new spout that we didn't need. Very disappointing. For the price I paid I expected a better outcome from a professional. I cannot recommend them for other work based on this. UPDATE: We had a huge rain in UA Saturday ( Aug 31, 2013). I check on the sumps that they replaced the one-way valves on the back up sumps and sure enough the clamp holding the bottom of the valve to the outgoing pvc pipe was spraying water all over the place. To make matters worse the "plummer' did NOT plug in the main sump after he worked on it the previous Monday. UNBELIEVABLE. Don't know how these guys have such a good rating on Angie's list.

The plumber they sent arrived only a few hours after I called-- on a Friday evening no less! He quickly determined why there was sewage in our basement and gave several options for correcting the problem. He explained costs and possible outcomes for each option. When my husband suggested we could do some of these things ourself, he offered helpful hints and recommendations. He was helpful, friendly, and very professional. Their company even had a coupon for more than the cost of my annual Angie's membership! I will DEFINiTELY use this company again.

Called on a Friday evening, and came Saturday morning. Arrived on time and did the work quickly and efficiently. Cleaned up after himself. I would recommend A Plumbing.
