We were so fortunate to find A-1 Quality Carpentry. Jeff, the owner did an FANTASTIC job! He built a 16x22 and 8x13 composite deck and "dog park" area in seven days by himself! He has integrity and a work ethic that is extraordinary and is a true professional from our first meeting until completion of the project. He was the "talk" of many of our neighbors because of his hard work and dedication. Jeff is AMAZING and we would HIGHLY recommend his company!

Amazing craftsmanship. Unparalleled work ethic. After seeing the quality of his craftsmanship three plus years after friends had him build a fence, I knew for certain I wanted to work with A-1. I originally called right after I moved into my home to get an estimate. Life being what it is, a number of other projects ended up taking priority. This year was to be the year. With the pandemic, things have been jammed up with many contractors due to labor and material shortages. Jeff was awesomely transparent about the anticipated date and communicative of updated start dates as the original anticipated date arrived. From contract/down payment to completion it was around 4 or 5 months. That said, I wasn’t in a hurry and I am unbelievably pleased with the final results! Cedar cap and trim fencing now surrounds my yard, and extends between my house and neighbors house. He built three custom gates for us (two for my yard, one for my neighbor’s). Other folks in the neighborhood have already been inquiring about it and he literally just finished today. Total build time for 270 lineal feet with the three gates was three and a half days. Do not hesitate to hire him! He is amazing!

While the viral apocalypse delayed construction of this project (totally NOT A-1's fault) , the results were spectacular and worth the wait! The old fence was falling apart and a new one needed to be built. A-1 already built a deck for me a few years back and it's still in excellent condition. When I found out he does fences, I didn't hesitate to hire him again. The new fence is wonderful. He is always a pleasure to work with and extremely professional. He also works very fast. I'm amazed a human being can work as fast and efficient as he does, but he always gets the job done in record time! He does everything by the book and what he builds lasts a long time. I can't say enough good things about all the work that was done. It's the best new fence in my neighborhood. That is for certain!

Because of manpower and material shortages in the midst COVID-19, Jeff (Mr. aoneqc) was the entire crew for our deck replacement project. He measured twice and cut once, His concern for **** it right was obvious while he worked and in the final product. He showed up as scheduled, kept us informed about the progress and cleaned up the area each day. We would definitely hire him again.

Jeff and his team at A-1 did an amazing job with our project! Jeff spent quite a bit of time with us, ironing out the details and answering all questions before our project began. Once the build process started, A-1 was reliable, detail-oriented, and very conscientious about cleaning up after each work day. Our build couldn't have gone better and we have a beautiful deck and pergola, which we'll enjoy for years!

From beginning to end, working with Jeff from A-1 was an absolute pleasure and we cannot recommend him enough. We actually weren't scheduled until later in the year (September), but due to some lumber shortages we were able to get moved up to June since we were getting composite. COVID-19 has just made it so difficult for everyone! Unfortunately because of this, Jeff was a one-man crew at our house and we were astounded at how much work one man could do. He had our entire old deck (12 x 20) torn out and hauled off within 4-5 hours - by himself! He started on Monday morning and by Friday our old deck was gone and Jeff had our beautiful new one built. This was also the week where temperatures were over 90 every day! I honestly don't know how he did it. He was very conscientious about keeping us informed every step of the way, cleaning up the yard at the end of every day and making sure everything looked perfect. I don't want to keep blathering on, but truly Jeff is one of the nicest, most professional guys you'll ever have the pleasure of working with. I wish I could show a before/after picture so everyone can see what a beautiful job he did.

I talked to Jeff about 3 weeks ago to let him know of the issues. He said it would be after the 4th of July before he could come out and would send me An email the day before he comes out. Jeff sent me an email yesterday asking if someone would be home at 7:00 am today to let him in the yard to do the repairs. He came out to fix it at no charge. Jeff arrived on time, is very professional and personable and does excellent work. I have given his name out to other people.

Perfect! High quality, professional and skilled carpentry work on all aspects of our project. I knew when the trailer was perfectly stacked and clean, we had a good contractor. I hire commercial contractors for my work and seek exactly what Jeff, A-1 Carpentry provided. This company provides the skill-set of "Carpentry" not just deck/fence installation. Corner cuts, finishing work is unbelievable. All of my neighbors are amazed at the work ethic and quality of the work.

We are delighted with the work that A-1 Quality Carpentry completed. They truly live up to their name! The project involved replacing a large, 3-level deck and staircase with TimberTech boards and railings. Jeff was onsite every day and it was a pleasure to have him and his team working at our house. Jeff is a talented craftsman and, as a bonus, he is a very nice person. Our neighbors have been stopping by to say how wonderful the new deck looks!

Jeff is the most organized and efficient carpenter I have ever met. He was on time, polite, and really, really talented. We wanted someone to use the existing support structure, and out of five estimates, only two were willing to resurface the deck rather than tearing it all down and rebuilding everything. Jeff in addition out priced the other bid significantly. The balcony is spectacular.

Jeff and his crew were amazing! We knew we wanted a deck, but didn’t know what specifically we wanted. Jeff came out to give us an estimate and talked us through all our options, and the pros and cons of each (including how each could affect price). Everything went according to the schedule we were quoted. He also took care of all the permits and inspection paperwork. Although Jeff had a couple of guys to help, he dug every post hole, placed, and nailed every board himself. If a board wasn’t right, he didn’t “make it work.” It went back on his trailer. I’d highly recommend Jeff for any carpentry work, and he would be the first person I’d call.

Reading all nice reviews here, I contacted this company asking for some estimates. A company rep (Jeff) wrote to me a few days later and explained that they have too much work now and the earliest of their availability for actual work will be September. I did not mind at all and wanted estimates. He scheduled a meeting for it and I put it on my calendar. In order to make the work for estimate easier, the next day I sent to him the picture of what my backyard is like now. He responded and said that he could send me a quote by mail if he had measurements instead of meeting. I did not mind about it and the next day I measured the expected deck area and put together a design sample with measurements (snapshot is attached to this review). After that, there was no response from the company, until after 5 days, when our previously meeting time came and I was hoping that since nobody responded to my deck design, measurements and pictures - someone would come to talk about it. Nobody came and I emailed them saying that it was a very unprofessional behavior. The response was immediate and it was about that I selected to get the estimate by email and that was why nobody showed up. In the next email, they reminded again that they were too busy and putting the estimate takes a lot of time, so instead of expecting them to come (it was my bad) I could have emailed them (although the both last emails in our communication were from me with measurement details and requests for quote on different options). 3 emails from the company within an hour (after 5 days of complete 'silence') and a bitter experience for both of sides - which could have been avoided by one short communication about when they would have time to respond with a quote. It is sad that I can't post anything about the quality of the work that they do, because I read so many good reviews about finished projects from people (who were probably luckier than me not to fall into busy time). Jeff and his team were excellent, but especially Jeff. When we first met, he was very professional. We discussed the project, he asked plenty of questions, and gave a well-considered estimate in writing. We signed the contract and my job joined his queue of work. Because he is good, his queue at the time was a couple months deep. However, he kept me updated during the wait. His guess at when he would be available was a little long. He was actually ready to execute the work 1 week earlier than estimated, which was great. The work was completed in just two days. They took care to keep my nice yard in good shape, cleaned up after themselves, and were a pleasure to have around. The workmanship is way, way above par, so I am very happy. A year later the the fence still looks brand new. The price was middle of the road based on the estimates I got, however what you get the the money is excellent. I would not hesitate to hire Jeff and his team again.

Jeff and his crew were awesome! They did such a great job with our deck. Jeff was very friendly and professional. He was great with communication whenever we had questions and he also kept us updated on when they would be at our house. He seems to take pride in his work and we really liked that it was a family owned business. Would definitely recommend him and would definitely use him again for future projects.

It went great for me, I stayed in the house and watched. Jeff is a true professional in every way, from giving us an estimate, explaining the different materials pros and cons and making sure we got what we wanted. Jeff would advise us when he was coming and what would happen next while also taking care of permits and inspections. We probably could have found someone to do the work more cheaply, but we probably wouldn't have anyone as polite and professional as Jeff at A1 Quality Construction. The company name says it all.

Jeff and his team were a delight to work with. Jeff was professional, organized, and he was very accomodating when I had a slight scheduling challenge. Jeff consulted with me on the deck design, working with me to identify and implement the specific design/style I had in mind. The final product was a beautiful and well-constructed deck. I am very happy! I would certainly work with A1 Quality Carpentry again.

Jeff was great from the get go. He came out to our house on a weekend (Father's Day - no less) to accomodate our schedule and talk through options. We told him what we wanted - but then he asked what our plans were for the deck and as we explained - he helped us make some tweaks that really made the space work better for us. The price was incredibly reasonable and we couldn't be happier with the quality - we'd highly recommend using A1 Quality Carpentry.

Jeff is one of the most professional contractors I have had the privilege to work with. He was exceptionally patient with my wife and I as we worked through various iterations for the layout. He visited with us and provided suggestions and recommendations along the way. He provided various options along with the pricing and helped us make the final decision, but it was never about selling us more or pushing for a more expensive option. As far the the workmanship....it was exceptional. They arrived on the day (actually called and asked to start a day early) that he originally gave us and finished on time. Quality of workmanship is exceptional. I would use Jeff again and I strongly recommend A-1.

From start to finish Jeff was professional, punctual and honest. He is fully involved in construction and had his hands on every piece of wood in our deck and was also a trooper working through the rain we had that week to get our project done. He and his assistants were neat and left no debris or equipment behind at the end of each day. We would 100% work with him again. We love our deck!

Jeff and his team were amazing from the sale process through completion. Jeff’s price for composite decking and rails was only a little more than my other quotes for wood only. We have a large deck, and the work was completed in about two weeks. It looks so good that two of my neighbors have already asked for his contact information to get their decks updated.
