Such a great experience from start to finish with Jeff. We've had many jobs done before and we are used to having someone come by to quote and establish a relationship and then you never see them again as they just have their employees come complete the job but not with Jeff. Jeff is an extremely hard worker, not only is he making house calls and responding to my many questions via email but he actually built my deck too. It made my husband and I just feel so relieved for once not to have to worry about the job and if it was being done to the standards the company owner would expect. We are so pleased with our new deck. Jeff was on time, let me know promptly if there were any scheduling adjustments and is overall extremely professional. I would absolutely recommend A-1 to anyone who needed any carpentry work done!

I was so impressed with this company from start to finish. The owner, Jeff, came out to give us the initial estimate. His quote was not the lowest, but ultimately, we chose his company because we were impressed by his responsiveness, professionalism and great attention to detail. We also liked the fact that he would be on site when the work was done. (This made us feel more confident that things wouldn't get lost in translation, as our project had lots of pieces.) I'm happy to say, the qualities that made us hire A-1 in the first place followed through to every facet of this project. The guys were always pleasant, professional and prompt, and the fence and gates they built reflect a pride in craftsmanship that is hard to find these days. Jeff has a great eye, and the attention he paid to every little detail resulted in an absolutely gorgeous end product. We really enjoyed working with A-1 and could not be happier with our new fence!

A-1 Quality Carpentry is exactly the type of company I was looking for to build my screened in porch. They are affordable, dependable, professional and experienced. I was told in advance exactly what to expect in expenses and time frame and they stayed on plan. They really do quality work, my porch turned out nicer than I ever imagined. I already have plans to use them again for other projects I have been wanting. I cannot be happier with their work.

Jeff has been the best contractor I have ever hired! I started working with Jeff in March. He was scheduling for mid-May at the time. He wrote up the contract, provided drawings and detailed listing of materials. I gave him the required down payment. I was leery of this as I had a bad experience in the past however, throughout March and April – Jeff continued to communicate regularly which gave me a sense of comfort. Jeff put everything we discussed in writing and did everything he told me he would do. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the finished product! I would (and have) referred others to Jeff and will definitely use him again for future projects!

When it came time to replace my fence, I researched top providers on Angie's List and ended up contacting 5 local providers. I got estimates from 4 providers. Jeff from A-1 stood out from the rest during this process. He was prompt, thorough, and professional in the estimation process. A-1 was not the cheapest, but I feel I got very good quality and value. The work was done slightly ahead of schedule and the duration was as stated. Jeff and team did a great job, and we really like our new fence.

Jeff Prude and his team did an excellent job. Even with the interruption of rain and snow, they finished the work in two weeks and the finished product is absolutely beautiful. There were some not so straightforward decisions to make. We appreciate that Jeff let us take the time to be sure we were making the best choice for us. I called on a weekend and expected to get an answering machine, but it was an answering service that patched me through. The gentleman I spoke with was polite, but acted as though the fence I wanted to get an estimate for was too small of a job to be bothered with as he was busy. Too small of a job I can understand, however he didn't come out and say so to end the conversation. I would have been happy with his honesty and moved on to another contractor / handyman. To save him a trip I offered to send photos which he agreed would be a big help. I took several photos the following day (3/20/16) and emailed them to him. Today is 3/31/16 and no reply to my several emails.

We can't say enough about the work that Jeff Prude, the owner of A-1 Quality Carpentry, and his crew did! From the first phone call to the final product everything was done with a high degree of craftsmanship and professionalism. With neighbor's dogs, tight spaces and lots of vines that had grown up and through the fence our German Village yard this job was not the easiest. The fence needed to be down a minimum of time so Jeff and his men worked in the rain and snow to demolish the old fence and get the new one up in less than 4 days. They arrived on time, cleaned up the mess and managed to do more than the contract specified they would do. How much better can it get? We highly recommend A-1 and we'd use them again in a heart-beat.

Jeff and his crew did an amazing job. From the beginning with the quote until they pulled away, I couldn't have been more pleased. They were professional and you would have never known they were here other than to see a new fence. I was scheduled for the first or second week of April and Jeff was able to fit my job in and it's complete. I would strongly recommend using this company. When I'm ready to complete my basement, I will be calling him!! Fantastic job.

Jeff is very easy to work with and professional. He did an excellent job remodeling a room in our basement. It ended up exactly as I had envisioned it would be. He kept me up to date on the daily plan as well as estimated time of completion. His price estimate was also the best of five other companies I looked at, and he clearly did not cut corners to get it there. We would certainly hire A1 Quality if we have any future remodel needs!

They completed the project on the dates that were arranged. Left zero mess behind. Very productive. I am very pleased with my experience. I love my new fence. I would recommend this company to all for professionalism also for workmanship.

Working with A-1 Quality Carpentry was a great home improvement experience. Clear communication before and throughout the project; always on time and completed with in a very professional manner. Quality project from beginning to end. We are more than pleased with our new fence and the overall execution of the project. We have since referred A-1 to a good friend to install the fence at his new home, and would certainly use their services again for other carpentry projects.

Jeff is great to work with. The whole process was smooth. The schedule he gave me worked out exactly. I felt his bid was reasonable and he could advise me on what I didn't know. The porch roof looks great, it was just a bare slab before. As people say, it looks like it's always been there, which is exactly what I wanted, to tie right in with my house. He is a very pleasant, mellow guy who works hard and is here when he says he's going to be. He conscientiously made sure I was happy with the result. Whenever I decide to finish my basement, he will be the first person I call (that's what he does during the winter).

Jeff and Josh did a superb job building our new deck. We are very pleased with the end result. All one needs to do is look at the deck and it is obvious that it was built by professional craftsmen. Materials were first rate, and A-1 Quality Carpentry took care of securing all building permits and inspections. They consulted with my wife and me in all planning decisions. They were organized and thorough in going about this project and kept things in good order. I would highly recommend Jeff Prude and A-1 Quality Carpentry for any of the services they provide. Jeff did an excellent job with our covered deck.The work performed was very high quality and the final product was very impressive. Unlike most contractors, Jeff is very personable and easy to talk with. He does not rush and he sincerely put our interests first. He was extremely responsive and worked very closely with us to ensure the final product was exactly what we envisioned and customized to fit our tastes. Jeff also provided valuable suggestions for alternatives that enhanced the appearance of the final product. His prior experience was clear from his work and it resulted in a deck we will enjoy for many years. I would highly recommend Jeff for any improvement. I researched many contractors when looking to get a deck installed. I spoke with approximately 15 and had 8 come to my home. I was getting all the information I could as we were also looking for a contractor to do a basement remodel as well. We were hoping to use the same one for both projects. Jeff was very prompt and courteous when he showed up for our estimate. He listened to what I was looking for. He was very patient with my many questions and emails He was one of the first to come for an estimate. He provided an email estimate with in just a few days. I continued over the next several weeks to get more estimates. All were a little higher than what I was looking to spend, so I contacted Jeff since he was 1 of 2 who were closest to the amount I was looking to spend ( I felt he was much more trusting) and told him what I wanted to spend and see if it was doable for him. He agreed to the price and set a date to come write the contract. He is a very busy company, so we did have to wait several weeks for our project to began. He was here and completed within the time frame he provided us when the contract was written. We now have a completed deck and the results as phenomenal. He went above and beyond my expectations. He took the time to do the work right and he put thought into the final project. We could not have asked for anything more. He kept me informed through out the whole project and what each step would be. I would recommend Jeff to anyone looking for a deck or any type of contractor carpentry work. He is honest and kind. We look forward to working with him again in a few weeks on a basement remodel. We are excited to see what he has in store for us. Thanks for everything Jeff and team, you truly did an amazing job.

Gates are sturdy and strong as I requested. When we had issues with the gates becoming settled and misaligned with the locks, Jeff returned right away to readjust them. We are very happy with the quality of work and the responsiveness of Jeff and his team. Thank you!

We had Jeff come out to my mother's house to look at replacing her existing deck. He was very easy to work with, gave suggestions and very professional. From other reviews here on Angie's List, we decided to go with him. What a great decision. Jeff and his crew were absolutely great! They tore down the old deck, and removed all the wood. They were very efficient, clean and would highly recommend them. Quality of work was excellent. Look forward to working with him on future home projects.

Jeff has been great to work with. He is very honest and genuine as well as responsive to questions or issues. He and his team did a great job on my deck and fence and we are very happy with it. We had one board that needed replaced about a week after the deck was completed. Jeff came right out to try to resolve it and then ended up replacing the board. I would definitely have him do more projects at my home. In fact, he may be building out a hot tub area and front porch for me next year. The deck and fence have greatly improved the value of my home. I love it!

We contacted Jeff and 2 other contractors to come out and give us an estimate. Jeff was the only contractor that pointed out defaults in our existing construction that he advised would need changed with the new build. Some of the changes he requested were raising the height so there would be a smooth transition as you stepped from the inside out. Place fascia against the house (that was not installed at the initial build) to prevent rot and water damage. Widen the stairs and change the slope so that it was not as steep. Jeff made us aware that he wouldn't be able to start for a month after we agreed that we would do the work. We paid in 3 installments. 1.) down payment on work 2.) after framing 3.) when the job was complete. Jeff and his team were great at letting us know what was going on. He was great with email and phone communications. We never had to wait long for a response. In regards to quality of work we are very pleased! A-1 quality carpentry always kept a clean, picked up area while working. After digging larger footers, there was a lot of extra dirt. Jeff asked where we wanted it to minimize the amount of grass killed by the project. When finished the team swept off the saw dust and cleaned up what they could. We are very pleased with the job. The deck is very sturdy and we look forward to enjoying it for many years. Overall the job took 1 week and 2 days to complete. This included demo and rebuild.

Jeff did a great job. We chose him because his price was very competitive and he seemed very trustworthy during the interview process as we interviewed about 4 other contractors. Jeff's references were also glowing. This review is from 3 years ago so the fence withstood the test of time! Jeff also had a couple of weatther detalys and he stayed until dusk and one day even after it was dark to finish the fence on time! It was very impressive.

Jeff gave me a very competitive quote and since I know his work is quality and lasts for years I wanted to contract with him again. He drew up a plan, gvae me pricing, and gave me dates. He then went to the City of Dublin who denied his plans to build a fence. The dential was due to some odd building ordinances and had nothing to do with his work or direction. He helped me to continue to fight with the city but to no success. When it was all said and done he gave me a full refund on the deposit with no hassles - it was acctually his idea. He said "you contracted with me for a vision and unfortuantly we couldn't execute on it due to issue out of our control. Based on that you are free to walk away with full refund if needed." That was an amazing statement and I am disappointed that I couldnt use him for the final service but he did provide a great service just to help me understand the ordinace and working with the city. The iicing on the cake is that he does good work and i know from experience! He is the full package.
