A-1 Quality Carpentry

Jeff, did a wonderful job coming out to the house to look at the layout and give some input on design and materials to compliment our house. We are first time homeowners and his advice was very helpful. The desk came out better than we could have imaged and the time and care Jeff put into the project shows. We have had an unusually wet summer and Jeff was able to stick to his proposed time frame and even finishing up faster than expected. Honestly we couldn't be happier and we will use his services in the future.

From start to finish Jeff and his team were professional, timely, and innovative in helping us think through and design a decorative privacy fence for our home. This included small windows for our dog which was uniquely designed. On the date of installation Jeff showed up on time, worked through the day and gave us updates and time for input. The fence is beautifully done and Jeff spent time with me showing me how to work the locks and care for our fence. We will hire him for another project likely next year.

This was a first class experience from start to finish. Jeff Prude, the owner of the company, stood out from the others who gave us estimates for our fencing project because of his high degree of professionalism, his intention to build a top quality fence and not cut any corners, and the fact that he would personally lead the installation crew. He quoted us a price that was fair and reasonable, and he said he could work us in sooner than others said they would be able to do our project. The installation process went flawlessly. Jeff and his crew showed up precisely when he said they would. All of the materials they used were of high quality. We were very impressed with the care that Jeff and his guys took to place and align every element of the fence precisely. They are perfectionists who take pride in the quality of their product -- and it really shows. They successfully negotiated an array of burried utility cables and came up with elegant solutions for filling the gap with two neighbors' fences. His crew was professional, friendly and easy to communicate with, and they did an excellent job of cleaning up the work site when they were finished. We give Jeff and A-1 Quality Carpentry our highest recommendation and we would definitely use them again in the future. They built us a great fence at a reasonable price and the quality of their workmanship is indeed "A-1". Moreover, we think the fence that they built for us is the best-looking one of its kind that we have seen.

Working with them was a pleasure. They were professional, prompt, very helpful and most of all, installed a gorgeous deck. The workmanship was beautiful. All of my neighbors have stopped over to remark upon how great the deck looks. Highly recommend.

Excellent and would hire again without hesitation. Mr. Prude was very professional, meticulous, and most importantly proud of his work. It's usually very expensive to get these qualities with a contractor but Jeff had very reasonable pricing. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive but worth every penny. He and his crew did a great job and left our home the way they found it as far as clean up goes. Kudos to his crew to save the sod under my deck steps so I could use it elsewhere in the yard and I didn't even ask them to do so.

I also got a quote from them to do my porch, but I didn’t end up going with them. They are absolutely lovely to work with, it wasn’t that it was just the timing for when they were available and the timing for when other people were available. It was January and February because they did it while it was snowing which was insane because it was 20 degrees out and they were there working all day every day. They were absolutely lovely to deal with. That was a situation nobody wanted to be hired for and they were doing it. They did it. I had 5 or 6 companies give me a quote because I got some really bizarrely different numbers and they were one of the best. Their price was the same when they quoted it as what it was when they did the work.

I didn’t end up going with them, and not anything against them just the way our timing worked out, I had two or three prices. They were still in the reasonable range. It was just the time of when I needed it done and when they were available. They were prompt to respond to my message, prompt to set up a time to come look. Since it was outside he indicated, he said I don’t need you to be home, but your welcome to be. Which for someone who works full-time that’s very nice to have the ability not to have to constantly have to be running home. So, it was a great experience. I recommend them all the time.

We couldn't be happier! Jeff is extremely conscientious, meticulous, and does beautiful work. He kept us informed throughout the process and left an immaculate work site each day. He handled unexpected changes with professionalism and good humor, and the project was competitively priced to boot. Highly recommend!

I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. I was amazed by the job Jeff did. I was so stunned when it was all done and he moved at lighting speed. Just one week and I have a new deck that will hopefully last a VERY long time. He did such a great job it redefined the word deck for me because this was vastly superior to anything I've ever had before. He was great in educating me about decks and the difference. I wanted something that would have cost more money and he made recommendations that had my best interest at heart. If he would have simply wanted my money he would have gone with what I originally had in mind, but after listening to him I opted to trust his judgment. And that judgment is as solid as rock! He is the Jedi Master of deck builders. No one exists that can do a job better. I needed the deck done fast and had to turn down three others because they moved at tortoise speed...in molasses! Jeff is like the Indy 500 of deck builders. He had time to get this done and a week later it was complete. So, so amazed by just how fast he worked and the quality of the job....my oh my oh dinosaurs it's more than a deck he made a work of art I get to enjoy in the many years to come! I would hire him again without a moment's hesitation! As far as I'm concerned A-1 Quality Carpentry is the only one to consider when thinking about having a new deck. It may have been more than I expected in terms of price, but the job speaks for itself. What Jeff does is in the company's name..Quality! If you're thinking of hiring anyone to rebuild your deck...A-1 Quality Carpentry is the only option to consider to get it done right!!!

The work was done well and I am extremely satisfied. In a matter of a few days, the old fence and deck were demolished and replaced by new versions. Jeff worked with me as I had to get a downspout repaired before he closed up the bottom of the deck. They both look terrific!

Jeff let me know exactly what to expect and kept me up to date on the project. Always on time. Very happy with the finished project. I highly recommend!

The experience was excellent - a rep came out, assessed our situation and got us a written estimate quickly. We were able to proceed, and actually had them come out and do the work while we were on our honeymoon, which was greatly appreciated (since our dogs were also not staying there at the time. We had a 4' chain link previously, which our dogs learned to jump, so we had them build a 6' pine privacy fence and they did a wonderful job. WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE AGAIN! Great personal service, good price, excellent fence. Easy A+ review.

Both projects were completely quickly and professionally. All work was completed over the course of several days while we were at work and it was exciting to see it all take shape. We appreciated Jeff consulting on the project beforehand and honestly presenting the pros and cons of our various ideas when it came to expanding our rear deck. Both turned out beautifully and we can't wait to enjoy it further in the warmer months.

Jeff and his employee did an excellent job installing a 6' privacy fence in my backyard. My new fence looks beautiful and I wouldn't change anything about it. It's so precise and straight and even, it looks like a machine made it. No detail was overlooked. They took the time and the care to hand cut the boards to fit around a very large maple tree in my backyard, which I didn't even think would be possible given the very tight space to work in. I never knew my backyard could look so nice! They were very patient and gracious to answer all of my questions and concerns. I am extremely happy with the work they did and the fence they built. I would definitely recommend A-1 Quality Carpentry.

I cannot say enough great things about my experience with A-1 Quality Carpentry! The professionalism and workmanship of Jeff and his crew was outstanding! I absolutely love, love, love my new fence. Jeff was patient and responsive, promptly returning all my calls or emails and answering all of my questions, and his perfectionism and attention to detail is absolutely evident in the fence that they built for me. The A-1 Quality Carpentry website is replete with photographs of the fine work they do, and I intend to hire them again for additional fence work and maybe a pergola. Of note: A-1 made a point to fit me into their tight schedule and, working with the weather (which was brutal for a few days), installed the posts and then built the fence in one day. Exceptional work, great price, friendly and knowledgeable...I couldn't be happier! If you want superior craftsmanship from top-notch professionals at a great price, you simply cannot do better than A-1 Quality Carpentry. I consider my new fence a sturdy work of art that will last for many years to come. I look forward to hiring them again, hopefully this summer. Jeff and his crew were great to work with. Jeff is very meticulous with his work, as well as great with communication (which is very important to us). He gave us some great advice/suggestions which we took him up on, and we were very happy we did! The porch turned out wonderful, and the quality is exceptional! Jeff was great from the get-go. He responded to emails and phone calls promptly, was very knowledgeable, notified us if he was running late, and was very easy to work with. Jeff called me during the construction asking for my input on a couple of items, which was very much appreciated. The fence looks great and we are very satisfied with the look and the quality of the fence. I would highly recommend A-1 Quality carpentry if you are considering a having a fence built and I wouldn't hesitate hiring them again.

Work was started and completed exactly when Jeff described. They also cleaned up work area each evening so I could let my dogs run off some energy in backyard. Would definitely hire A-1 again.

All I can say is Amazing! Jeff was so easy to work with, provided his professional opinion, and met and exceeded my expectations. My fence is exactly what I had envisioned and looks better than the neighbor's fence (wanted the fence to flow). Jeff gave me a fair estimate and completed the job a week ahead. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Very well! Out of all of the businesses, A-1 Quality was the best. Jeff Prude had the best estimate, came over the same day I called to make an appointment for the estimate, and was very nice. They dug the fence post holes on a Tuesday and the fence was completed the next day! It is truly a work of art!! We will call them when we are ready for a deck.

On May 18, 2016 Jeff came to our house and examined our porch and listened to what we wanted done and gave us a written estimate with the estimated start date of Aug. 1, 2016 at a cost of $2,280 after the senior discount. He contacted us the first week of Aug. and set up a start date of Aug.9 and the work was finished on Aug. 10. The end cost was $2,540 because when the supporting posts were uncovered the former carpenter hadn't install the posts properly and needed to be replaced, which I agreed to beforehand. The quality of work is excellent and done in a timely manor, weather permitting of course and the cost is very reasonable. He installed a 10' X 16' deck behind our house last year and were pleased with his work on that also.

They did an excellent job on the construction.
