A-1 Concrete Leveling

Everything went smoothly from the first phone call to the completion of the job. The company is very professional, Provided a timely estimates and completed the work within a week of the quoted job. The crew arrived on time and finished the work promptly. We were very impressed with the end results. The crew cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend to others in the central Ohio area.

my only complaint is that they cracked my concrete when they filled it in to left up the area. I would have preferred them to fix it or replace it which didn't happen.

I was very please with the work that was done. A-1 provided a prompt estimate and scheduled the work accordingly. I had contacted other providers on Angie's list for estimates and each stated that the work I was requesting could not be done and that the sidewalk would need to be replaced. It was obvious that A-1 prides themselves in providing a resolution to eliminate the high cost of removal and replacement. My recommendation to others interested in concrete leveling to always solicit an estimate from A-1 because if the work can be done then they are the experts for both advise and work.

A-1's crew showed up a few minutes before our scheduled appointment and let me know what they would be doing and how long it would take. They got right to work and raised my porch and then did a great job of cleaning up the work site when they were finished. I would highly recommend them.

Went very well. The ice and snow penetrated and less than a year later it was out of level. HOWEVER A-1 repaired it under warranty. I am not exactly sure or accurate on the date of service. Had it done, and a year later they fixed again. No problems ever since. I blame the chipmunks and mice mostly for undermining the sidewalk.

Part of our garage floor had sunk, and A-1 raised it and the front sidewalk leading to the porch. The work was done promptly, efficiently, and well. We were extremely pleased. We also hired them to replace the blacktop driveway with concrete and gave them a deposit in July, 2014. We knew other customers were ahead of us on the list, but by late summer when we called, we were told "middle of September", then "middle of October", then "sometime in November". We were told scheduling depended on the weather, but by November my husband and I became concerned about the weather turning bad enough that the job couldn't be done until spring. Response to phone calls was erratic-sometimes they were answered; sometimes not. Return phone calls were a long time coming. Finally, the drive was poured in mid-December. The work was excellent. The old driveway was removed and disposed of. We would not use this company again, because while the work was terrific, the customer service was terrible. And 5 months between a deposit and the job being done was much too long.

I requested a quote for concrete and chimney repair. I called several times over a 2 month time perios and was told someone would call back, but they never called back nor did they give a quote.

The experience was fine but the second year I noticed that certain sections of the surface of the concrete has chipped and I had the owner look it up and he says, well, it's not really his responsibility, it's responsibility of the cement company. He was gonna give a call to the cement company to come out but I never heard anymore about it. I just had haven't had an opportunity to do anything about it. But I thought it was pretty bore on his place for not seeing to if it was the cement company or whatever, they just mention about someone or the other.

They did good work, my husband was pleased.

I was ok with the cost. They were very responsive and fast. They saved me money and I'm really pleased with their work.

Pretty bad. They told me they could fix the issue. They didn't. They kept complaining that my job was too small and they were losing money just by being there. They didn't fix the issue.

They arrived on time, were pleasant and did a good job. The steps had been sloped and when they finished the steps were level. We were pleased with the work.

Their work look great. They came and got into their business right away and they know exactly what they were doing. They were very informative and very nice to make me understand what they were doing. They did a great a job.

The service went very well. We received a letter from the suburbs that we live in stating someone was complaining about our sidewalk. They stated it was a tripping hazard. Homeowners are responsible for their own sidewalk. We looked into a replacement, but found that it would cost us thousands of dollars to have replaced. Instead, we decided to level and fill in our existing sidewalk. It was $800 but that was so much better than replacing it entirely. They fixed three sections. The repairs look great!!

they raised two of my porches and left gapping holes underneath each porch for water to run underneath and in the house.. It would have taken them no time minutes or no time at all to fill in the gaps. If they wanted more money to do this, then at least ask me if I want it done one of the porches ROCKED back and forth!!!! it was NOT LEVEL I have video of my maintenance man rocking the concret slab back an forth. I also took pictures of the cracks all around the slab if anyone wants to contact me I had to hire another contractor to come in and level it because the house is in contract and I have no time to mess around with this company this is my second BAD experience on angie list..

We had used their service before. They were on time and friendly. They did a good job.

I received what I felt to be a fair quote within days of calling. Scheduling the work took about three weeks, which I thought was a bit long -- but it was the busy end-of-summer season. Once scheduled, the crew who came out (Steve and Andy) were prompt, courteous and knowledgable. When they started leveling the porch steps, they discovered that part of the sidewalk had been replaced some years ago and was tilting when the steps we moving toward level, which created a tripping hazard. They gave me good advice -- we leveled the steps and ground down the part of the sidewalk that popped up. And they didn't charge me anything extra for the extra service. I'm very pleased and will certainly recommend them to my friends.

Turned out great and they did more than they quoted. Had used other well known leveling company in past, never again.

They raised my front walkway. It had settled and had a crack between the walkway and the front porch. It looks great now. It took less than an hour to complete the job. The men were professional. I would use A 1 Concrete again.

So far, they have come out for the estimate. The work is scheduled to be done September 8th. One technician came out for the estimate. The quote was for $400 for the sidewalk repair. I had no problem getting the estimate scheduled. I would only give them a C rating right now since the service is not completed.

A-1 was contacted for an estimate & they came out quickly in the fall of 2013, they promised work would be done in mid-December. Due to 'weather' it was pushed out until January 27, 2014. This was very difficult to plan my work schedule around with out having an exact start date that I could count on. The actual work was done with in that week and we were told that they would be out in early spring to fix the two 18" sections of concrete they had to cut out of the sidewalk, grade both sides of my front yard as well as seed grass. When spring rolled around I had to call multiple times to get a response as to when they would be out to finish the job. I was told on Friday, May 30th 2014 that I was 'next on the list' and they would be out that day. They never came out. I have called twice since May 30th and each time I was told that - yes, I was next on the list, but the weather has been holding them up. I also had to remind Linda that this wasn't just a job for the 'dirt' guys, but that I needed concrete as well. In the meantime I received a bill for the balance owed to them -that was to be paid when the job was completed. Needless to say I have not paid my final balance because as of today July 24, 2014 the job is still incomplete and my yard looks terrible.

Work went fine, however the material they used has come out over the winter. I also thought it was a little expensive, however I couldnt find anyone in my area and they had to travel from Columbus.

They responded quickly to my initial call, provided estimate to raise front stoop. Research stage of project.

Adam and Steve arrived on time to repair our sunken front step and sidewalk. They were very cordial and asked where they could set up their equipment. They explained the process and had no problem with us watching the procedure. Clean up was very thorough. We were very happy with the results and would highly recommend them.
