A-1 Concrete Leveling

Service provider showed up on the day they scheduled. Leveled my entire sidewalk and cleaned up nicely when they finished. The entire process took maybe an hour at best.

Excellent - sidewalk and step look great and they were very efficient, professional and friendly. Also, the person who calls for scheduling is outstanding. Very friendly and responsive.

They were punctual and worked really hard. They were well trained, had good skills, polite, and professional. All around a good work crew. The owners name is Ron, and can be a little argumentative. Everybody that works for him is great. I questioned some of his leadership. I was trying to stage some of the work with other contractors, so we had a very specific time that we had agreed to, that they would do the work, it was written into the contract. Then I made it clear that once they start unless, weather gets in the way, they will come back, finish up their work everyday, so they wouldn't start, then disappear for a week, and then come back. We agreed to that and it was very clear. Then they started doing the work, then I found out that they weren't going to show up the last day, and they were going to hold me back until the next week. I called Ron to complain about that and he said that I was being unreasonable. I said, how can say that is unreasonable? It is in the contract that you're not going to skip days on me unless, it's weather driven. There were just a few things like that, that he was argumentative. It was expensive but, I don't know how to compare them to everybody else.

They were timely, efficient, and we have not had water in our basement since!

Our sidewalk that connects the driveway to the front porch had sunk over the last 20 years. Where the sidewalk and step meet the front porch, it had sunk about 5 inches. This made for a dangerous step. I called A1 and they had an estimate within a few days, which was $375. On the day of the service, A1 employees arrived on time, performed the work and cleaned up within an hour. The sidewalk is now safe and looks great! I would definitely call A1 concrete again.

Came on time, drilled holes and pumped in concrete and leveled by eye. Cleaned up and was cordial and businesslike.

They were not able to level the driveway as what they quoted. In the process of trying to do so they cracked the driveway in a few places. They also leaked hydraulic fluid all over my driveway. When I brought up my concern, the owner was supposed to call me back and never did so.

Crew was prompt and efficient. The work they did was AMAZING ! No damage to the original stamped concrete which is now level with no trip hazard.

From the estimate with Chad and then the work by Adam and team all went very well. They had to raise the side walk 5-6 inches so had to re-level about 5 squares of side walk plus the step to get it right. It looks very good and they did an very nice job cleaning up. Would definitely use them again.

The people were friendly and explained what they were doing. They asked if I was satisfied when they felt they were done. Even though they had already started to put away their equipment, I felt that they did not have it quite in place. They reconnected the equipment and continued until I was satisfied.

I had a sidewalk to my front door which had settled. They came out as scheduled and mud jacked them all level. I am very happy with their work!

I purchased a new home in Nov of 2013. The sidewalk and front steps had sunk and were allowing water to roll back toward the foundation. I called A1 to come out and level both the sidewalk and steps. They arrived on time and performed the work as requested. In the Spring of 2014 I noticed that the steps had begun to "sink" again and that a small crack had form. I called the company and requested they come back out and correct the problem. They came while I was not home and left an invoice telling me they had inspected the area and determined that the steps were not sinking. This Spring the crack had gotten bigger and the steps had sunk even more so I placed another call. They came back out and pumped more concrete under the steps which did level them but also caused the steps to completely break in half. I called and sent an email so I could attach pictures showing the progression of the crack and have never heard back from them.

These folks were very professional from start (estimate given) to finish (job completion). Based on the other favorable reviews appearing on Angie's List, I called for an estimate to repair the service walk from our drive up to the house. Over the years the walk had become uneven to the point I had a safety concern with the possibility of tripping. The estimate was scheduled and provided within a week. The estimator answered all of my questions. I received a call several days prior to the actual service advising when to expect the repairs to be made. The two-man crew arrived at the scheduled time and immediately began the leveling process. They completed the project in less than two hours and sought my "final approval" before leaving. The work was completed to my total satisfaction as the walk is now entirely level. A three year warranty is provided with the service. I would not hesitate to recommend this company for leveling service.

Very good work by friendly and professional crews. Went the extra mile by finding a creative way to solve a problem with filling a hole around the electrical riser.

The only problem that I had was when I talked to them they didn't give me a time. They said it would probably be in the morning but they ended up coming after 6 pm.

Had to wait over 2 weeks for apt 8/11 (Tues). Rec'd call saying running late then got another call that we would need to re-schedule to 8/13 (Thurs). He was on time for this appt. walked the property, examined the basement explained process & said he would probably be able to get us an estimate the next day (Fri). When we did not receive an estimate by Tues. I called the office to confirm my email address & was told he ONLY does estimates on Fridays so he would have it for us by end of the week. The next Monday still no estimate so I called back & was told she would "ask" him to call. Another week later & still NO CALL or ESTIMATE. We can't move in until the basement is repaired & now we've wasted over a month waiting on a company that obviously doesn't want the job. It would have been nice if we were told that upfront!

At first it wasn't done to my satisfaction. They had indicated how much better they could make it. I told them they didn't do what I asked them to do so they called in some additional help from their team and made it just the way they said they were going to. They did a really good job and seemed really intent on meeting my expectations. They actually deducted $50 because it took a little longer than they said it would. I thought the price was reasonable and they did excellent clean up job when they were finished.

I am extremely pleased with them. I am really pleased. I am just extremely happy. They were here on time, cleaned up the mess and did exactly what they said they would do. They did it for $ 25 less than what they charged me.

Arrived on time as scheduled; explained what they intended to do; did the job promptly and cleaned up afterwards. Then explained what they did and their warranty. Billed me as according to their estimate.

Raised and leveled part of our sidewalk. Did a good job. Came at short notice at the sale of our home.
