Asbestos Hazard Control

Rich does business in an honest way. There are about 700 sq. ft 9x9 inch vinyl flooring tiles in my house which was built in 1961. Everybody said that they are asbestos tiles because of the year and size. It is expensive to remove them. Rich came in and gave me a quote. But he insisted that I make a sample test before proceeding to the removal process. Fortunately, I followed his instruction. To my surprise, the lab test gave a negative result. So I do not need to remove the tiles. I would like to do business with this company in the future.

Rich was very flexible and understanding when I had to push my appointment time back. He also gave great professional advice and took the samples for me efficiently. I would definitely recommend this company!

It went very well. I needed to have a hot water heater in the crawl space replaced and it turned out asbestos was a hazard. At very short notice, AHC sent a crew to remove part of it and seal the rest. Nicely done.

After they completed the work, and I had something unrelated to that, and I had a bad odour, so Icalled them, and the owner of the company came out. It had nothing to do what they had just done. He worked with me to try and find the source of the odour, and how to resolve it. He was excellent. This was after the work was completed, and I had paid for the work done. There were no surprises, the work was done on time, they were on time, and the mold is all gone.

I spoke with Scott Reed. I needed asbestos testing for damaged flooring that needs to come up as part of a remodel and mold remediation service. No one will take care of the mold and water damage until they know if the floor has asbestos. Scott asked me specifics about the issues and then explained that I could save myself money (more than half price) by taking a sample to a local company for analysis rather than having his crew come out and go through all their steps. I was stunned! Honest, effective, and sincere advice from someone I didn't even know. If I do have asbestos, he gets my business.

AHC Environmental Services' price was reasonable. I like everything about them. I thought they did a great job, they were very professional and they came out here quickly. They did the assessment quickly, got the estimate to me quickly and with good details. It was fine. I will possibly use them in the future.

Scott came out and carefully examined 2 areas of concern I had about some asbestos lined ducts. 1 duct is accessible, the other is not. I cannot say enough about how professional and helpful he was. After discussing the various options, he was able to provide information on how I could remediate the situation myself and that I really didn't need to have it removed. He also provided me information on how to have it tested by a local company if I wanted peace of mind in case the lining of one of the ducts didn't actually contain asbestos since it had been painted over and was in suprisingly good condition. If I ever need further help with asbestos, I'd call AHC and Scott without a doubt. This is actually my second time working with them on an issue and they are fantastic to work with from beginning to end. They clearly are not out to take your money. They're there to help you.

I contacted Rich Kinney of AHC and he was very prompt in responding to our call. A home inspector had discovered some mold in my mother's basement and so we needed someone right away to correct the problem as the house was in contract. Rich came out to the house to see what needed to be done. He was very understanding that we needed someone to do the job quickly and for a reasonable cost! The best part was - Rich not only scheduled the work quickly - he turned out to be less than half the cost of the other company we had contacted. Understandably, the buyers were very concerned about the mold situation, and Rich actually conferred with the buyer and showed him what had been done to fix the problem.....a real life saver! I would definitely recommend AHC Environmental if you have any type of mold problem in your house. He is very professional, prompt, good price and a gentleman.

AHC explained the options that I had available including removal, encapsulation, or doing nothing, and how each would be done. We determined that since it was in good condition, I would be able to encapsulate the tape myself where needed so they didn't perform any work for me. They didn't try to hard sell me on paying for services that it turns out I really didn't need.

When I first called the company, I spoke with Rich Kenny, who was very helpful and he agree to meet with me the following day. He even gave me a call right before he came to let me know that he would be there. The next day after our meeting, I received his estimate. I gave them the go ahead, and they immediately submitted the required 10 day notification to the state health department. They arrived on site as promised and did a good job. They were neat and very thorough. They also worked along with my heating and cooling contractor in coordinating the job and making sure things went smoothly.
