Seemed OK until it came time to seed. They were throwing handfuls of seed, I went out asked if that was how they always seed and they told me that they forgot there spreader. Once they finished throwing seed they began to partially cover with a ridiculously small amount of straw, I went back out and asked if they were going to work the seed into the soil and they said it wasn't necessary, I said well aren't you going to put starter fertilizer down and they said you didn't ask for it to which I replied who seeds a new lawn without using starter fertilizer. Needless to say my lawn looks like crap.

It did not go well. It is very difficult doing business with this company. Everything is done online. It is extremely impersonal. As far as the landscaping goes, it is all à la cart, everything they do incurs a separate charge. In addition, the worker they sent to my house who was riding the lawnmower whacked into my fence, and bent several of the slats. When I contacted the by email, I never got any response at all, which is really unacceptable. But I let it go, and hire them to do my snow removal and that was even worse. On January 18 we had a couple of inches of very heavy slushy snow and ice and they never showed up, so I decided to do it myself, with a shovel, because it was going to get freezing for the next couple of days. On January 20, it snowed again, but this time it was a very light powdery snow, and they came during the night and clean that up. I paid for an entire large bucket full of calcium chloride which they spread some of it around and then took it with them. There is no way they could possibly have used all of it on my property as I had already done all the heavy lifting and gotten rid of all the snow and ice and there was nothing but a little powder around the property. To add insult to injury, they immediately billed me for both snowstorms! The one they never showed up for and I did myself, and the one that they did

TOM PHIEL (LANDSCAPER) WAS GOING TO PLANT A DIFFERENT VARIETY TO WHAT I TOLD HIM TO PLANT. THANK GOD MY WIFE WAS HOME TO QUESTION HIM BEFORE HE GOT STARTED. AT MOST A HALF OF YARD OF TOP SOIL WAS USED TO PUT AROUND THE BALLS OF THE ARBORVITAES BUT I WAS CHARGE FOR 2 YARDS. ORIGINALLY I WAS GOING TO HIRE HIM TO ALSO DO A FRONT BED THAT WOULD TAKE NO MORE THAN 1 YARD OF MULCH AND HE ESTIMATED 5 YARDS. HE LIKES PADDING AMOUNTS OF MATERIALS THAT MOST CUSTOMERS WHO AREN'T FAMILIAR WITH WOULD ACCEPT. HE ALSO DOESN'T LISTEN TO WHAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS AS HE CONTINUED TO TRY TO SELL ME PLANTS THAT I DIDN'T WANT EVEN AFTER I DESCRIBED WHAT I PREFERRED.

Last month I was billed for two pushes of which one day they claimed they plowed (which they did not) as both my brother and I shoveled throughout that day with me doing so before I left for work and my brother doing a couple times prior to my getting home but yet they claimed they did and then a few days later they came out at 1:30 am to plow driveway but we only had a dusting -- contract states at least a minimum of 1 inch before they plow. When I emailed to question, no response and also sent invoice in with check since they charge a 15% late fee after 45 days with these two inquiries and, again, no response. Today (2/11) we had at least 4-1/2 inches and they were no show prior to the time I had to leave for work (6:30 am) and yesterday (2/10) I was off of work -- we had about 2 inches of really wet and heavy snow and, again, they were a no-show -- my brother, daughter and I shoveled numerous times throughout the day. When I tried to contact via email, no replies back to make them aware that I should not be billed for services they did not provide. Poor customer service to say the least. I am assuming they wrote me off since I questioned the first two incidents but at least give me the courtesy of telling me that. My brother is 67 (close to 68) years old and my husband is 65 (close to 66) and I would prefer they not shovel due to heart disease in both my immediate family and my husband's. My husband does not want me to shovel as I already had one knee replacement and need the other due to severe arthritis -- this is why I signed up.
