Benedict Roofing was established three generations ago by Joseph Benedict I, on 25th & Denison in Cleveland Ohio. Columbia Station became the new home of Benedict Roofing when the second generation Joseph Benedict II continued the tradition of quality roofing. Today, brothers Bob Benedict and Chris Benedict are the third generation in the Benedict Roofing legacy. They continue to serve Northeast Ohio and continue giving their costumers the same high quality standards as their father and grandfather. Benedict Roofing has the highest quality standards. They are absolutely wonderful. They were prompt and cleaned up everything. They even had to remove a bush to get the truck close enough, and they replaced it (it's thriving). They did what they said they would promptly, and price was competitive.
Description of Work: We had a strip and new roof put onto house (2000 sq. ft. approx.) and detached garage.

There are contractors that promise many things, including quality of work and materials, and scheduling which includes rapid completions. Only some actually attain excellent marks in these qualities, but Chris Bendict is one of them.
Description of Work: Tear off old roof and reroof with heavy duty high definition shingles. Job included 30 lb flashing, new aluminum valleys, soil pipe flashing, ice and water shields at all butters and valley areas and ridge vents on all gables.

THE OWNER CAME TO OUR HOME AS SCHEDULED TO PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE TO RE-ROOF THE HOUSE. HE OFFERED A NUMBER OF SUGGESTIONS & WE SAW A NUMBER OF HOMES IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD THAT THEY RE-ROOFED. THE ONLY REASON WE DIDN'T CHOOSE THEM IS ANOTHER COMPANY WAS A LITTLE LESS EXPENSIVE.

WE WERE PLEASED WITH THEM IN THE BEGINNING: REASONABLY PRICED, PROMPT RESPONSE FOR INITIAL ESTIMATE/DECENT WORK, AND COURTEOUS. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM AROSE WHEN WE CALLED THEM BACK FOR ADDITIONAL WORK TO FURTHER SNOW PROOF OUR HOUSE. CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES; NOT A SINGLE RESPONSE. TRIED AGAIN ONE YEAR LATER; NO ANSWER. DID NOT EVEN GIVE US A CHANCE TO EXPLAIN WHAT WE NEEDED. MOST COMPANIES CAN DO THE WORK. THE REAL TEST OF A GOOD COMPANY IS TO FOLLOW UP ON ITS WORK: GOOD OR BAD. PITY, THEY FLUNKED.

Description of Work: COMPLETE TEAR OFF AND NEW ROOF OF A SPLIT LEVEL HOME. QUICK RESPONSE TO SET APPOINTMENT FOR ESTIMATE. REVIEWED CURRENT ROOF FROM BELOW AS WELL AS ACTUALLY UP ON THE ROOF. FOLLOWED UP CALL AFTER SUBMITTING ESTIMATE. HAD ME GO OVER TO HIS SUPPLIER SO THAT I COULD SEE WHAT THE SHINGLES WOULD LOOK LIKE IN A FULL RUN INSTEAD OF FROM THE SAMPLE BOARDS, SO I WOULD BE SATIFIED WITH THE COLOR. WORK WAS COMPLETED IN A DAY AND A HALF. EVEN REPLACED SOME FASCIA THAT WAS DAMAGED AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. COMPLETE CLEAN UP, NO MESS LEFT BEHIND -- EVEN CLEANED UP THE DECKS. LEFT A BUNDLE OF SHINGLES FOR ME SO IF THERE IS ANY REPAIR IN THE FUTURE, THE COLOR LOTS WILL MATCH.

I HAVE A VERY LARGE HOUSE! THEY WERE VERY CLEAN! THERE WAS NOT A BIT OF DEBRIS WHEN THEY WERE DONE! THEY CLEANED UP EVERY NIGHT WHEN THEY LEFT. SHORTLY AFTER THEY WERE FINISHED, WE HAD A SMALL PROBLEM, SO I CALLED THEM AND THEY WERE OUT THE VERY NEXT DAY AND CORRECTED THE PROBLEM!

GREAT JOB. THE GUYS WORK WITH THE CREWS DURING THE DAY, SO EXPECT RETURN PHONE CALLS IN THE EVENING. I'VE ALSO HAD FRIENDS THAT HAVE USED THEM, AND HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY. ZINC STRIPS PLACED TO RETARD TREE MOSS (OUR REQUEST). STRAIGHTEN AND ALIGN EXISTING GUTTERS (THEY REPLACED ONE THAT WAS REALLY BENT AT NO CHARGE). INSTALLED GUTTER GUARDS (OUR REQUEST, THEY DID NOT TRY AND SELL US THESE). RIPPED OUT SOME INSULATION AND INSTALLED A NEW ROOF FAN. CLEANED UP EVERYTHING WHEN DONE, LEFT US SOME EXTRA SHINGLES SO WE WOULD HAVE SAME LOT NUMBER IF NEEDED.
