Description of Work: Last year I called asking for a quote to remove 2 dead trees including stump grinding. A younger man whom I spoke with told me they were very busy but would come out and give me an estimate. Nobody ever showed up so I went with another company. In March of this year I spoke with owner on the phone for at least 15 minutes, asking if he could come out and chip large trunk pieces in my yard. He was so kind, friendly on the phone. Three weeks later again nobody has come out to give me a quote. Again going with another service. Word of advice; please tell us if you cannot come out rather than string us along.

Description of Work: Took down several dead/dying trees, one of which was ~100ft tall. Also miscellaneous pruning. Ground out stumps. Hauled away all debris and did excellent cleanup.

+ -1 moreTrees were removed and stumps ground without damage to anything in surrounding area. Guy also walked the yard and confirmed the other trees were still in good shape, nothing more needed to be done immediately. He removed a small ornamental tree that had died that I was going to handle myself - saving me some time and effort. Everything was cleaned up and taken away. I've used Guy's services for several years and always been happy with the results - this time was no exception. Because he's good and reasonably priced, he does have a waiting list and the wait can be a while. He shows up when it is your turn, mostly without any notice. If that's an issue, he's not your "guy". I would (and have) highly recommend him. Bill was as expected from the estimate, no add-ons.
Description of Work: Removed 3 trees, one extremely large (and likely to do collateral damage to surrounding trees if not removed very carefully) and ground out 5 stumps, plus seeded and covered with straw the stump areas.

Description of Work: Removed a tree in the front yard. Cut the tree into firewood size pieces. Removed the trump and did a superior job cleaning all the small branches and chips.

+ -1 moreWonderful to work with, here on time, cleaned up all the mess. Was very careful with the pear tree close to house to make sure no damage done to house while taking it down. Guy brought in his 'wood chipper', so there was no pieces to pick up... Guy and his helper worked non stop. Very professional, prompt and reasonable. We would not hesitate to use them again and would recomend them to our friends.
Description of Work: Cut a large bradford tree close to house that was a danger of falling on house during storms; also a large pine that was 1/2 dead, and two large weeping wilow trees that were dying.

+ -1 moreThe day they came to do the work they were on time and ready to start. I've never seen three people work so hard as they did. It took about 6-8 hours. They removed 1 tree, Cobra banded my large oak and trimmed it. Then trimmed about 5 total trees and did a few "extras" at no cost. When they were all done they cleaned up and you couldn't tell they were even there. I recomend them and I will call them 1st anytime I need a tree service in the future.
Description of Work: I got 4 estimates before making a decision as I always do. Guy Fortner was the first one to come out and give me an estimate. After talking to the other 3 companies I knew I wanted Guy to do it. He walked my yard with me explaining what I needed to do for my trees and also telling me all the bogus "add ons" other companies may try and sell me, which some did. I love my trees, (yeah okay a tree hugger) and guy talked to me like a man that does too. He is a certified arborist and he did most of the trim work.

+ -1 moreGuy Fortner and his helper came and removed the two trees and all the debris and wood on Sept 28. They came back on Oct 7 to remove the stumps and all the debris associated with the removal. I also asked if he would grind up and take away some limbs and branches that had accumulated. He did so and didn't want any additional money. Overall, they did a great job left and behind no mess whatsoever. I'd definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Had two trees and stumps removed. One large bradford pear and a smaller bradford pear.

Description of Work: I use Fortner and Sons for dry wood, tree removal, tree trimming. The last time there was storm, a maple tree damaged my house. They removed that tree for us. They have also cleaned the gutter for me. They supply real good dry wood.
