When they came out they did a complete inspection of the roof and the wooden soffits beneath my gutter lines. The inspection showed multiple entry sites where the squirrels had chewed through the gutter covers. They also found evidence of raccoon droppings around a chimney that had been fortunately closed off years before. They took photos of the entry points and chimney area which they showed to me. They then carefully outlined a plan of attack. They set a trap for raccoons by the chimney, marked the chimney so that any raccoons climbing up the chimney would leave fur on a sticky tape and marked all gutter openings and chewed areas in the soffits to determine which ones were active sites. They requested I call each morning by 10 to report any animal that my have been caught so that they could remove it in a timely manner. Raccoon's being nocturnal it would be important to remove them as soon as possible to cause the least amount of stress on the poor things. After a week no raccoon's had been caught ( thank heavens! ). During this time the technician came to my house several times to rebate the trap and to check on the areas that had been marked for squirrel activity. At this point they started setting traps for the squirrels at the one entry site that showed activity. By the next day we had two squirrels. The squirrels where removed within two hours. The noises within the house had stopped. They left the raccoon trap in place just to be on the safe side. They also provided me with several companies that could repair the damage caused by the animals. They explained what should be done to fix the problem so when I called a company I felt confident in knowing what needed to be accomplished. I went with one of the companies they recommended after researching them Angie's List. I was extremely impressed with them and have hired them to start the repairs that include installing a gutter apron, repair the chewed gutter areas, repair the wooden soffits and taking down the old chimney to below the roof line. Critter Ridder will be out again this week to check the entry sites once more before work begins this Friday. I heartfelt thank you to Mary at Critter Ridder and the great technician who worked with me and walked me through this home owners nightmare.our
Description of Work: I had squirrels in my attic and needed to get rid of them. Sitting in my living room I could hear a scampering in my walls. Not the most pleasant sound to hear as your watching TV. After researching various providers on Angie's List I found Critter Ridder and was impressed with their reviews and credentials. My main concern besides ridding my home of the little invaders was to make sure it was done humanly. I called the company and that day they sent out a technician.

This ordeal took a long time to resolve, but that was only because of a harsh winter which prevented access to our roof. I felt really bad for Greg (I think that's his name, I'm embarrassed that I forgot), and really appreciated how he kept up with our issue through a rocky stretch of weather. He was extremely knowledgeable, resolved the issue, and we were very pleased with the service we received. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful experience with ASAP Critter Ridder. They came over when they said they would and set the traps for the squirrels. They got rid of the squirrels, and then I had a problem with raccoons coming under my home and they got rid of them. I heard them again, and they quickly came out here with more traps. We got them all that time. So far, I haven't had any other problems with them. I'm an animal lover, and I was glad that they relocated the squirrels, because it was a mother and her babies. I would absolutely use them again and I've given their name to other people.

We had a skunk and her litter living under our shed. ASAP Critter Ridder was able to capture 6 baby skunks and 2 baby raccoons. They also caught 2 adult raccoons. These were all live captures, not kill traps. The mother skunk was never caught, but did not return once the babies were caught. ASAP Critter Ridder came out and set the traps quickly and would return every day that we reported a captured animal. They also provided us with instructions on how to secure the shed to prevent the animals from returning, We were very happy with their services and responsiveness.

Critter Ridder got 'er done. We heard squirrels scratching around in our attic roof. The folks at critter ridder said they'd need to be trapped. If you just seal up the holes you'll either seal them in (bad), or they will go nuts (so to speak) trying to get back in. They put two traps on the roof--we caught the mother on the second day, and then two her offspring on subsequent days. They were very professional throughout the process--always came by when alerted that there was a squirrel in the trap, and always called with an update when they picked one up. We had the holes sealed up afterward, and have had no problems since. I was very impressed with their service.

After a severe storm I noticed a bat flying around in the basement during the evening hours on Aug 31, 2013. I plugged the basement door area to prevent the bat from coming into other parts of the home. On September 3rd following the holiday weekend, after researching Angie's Lists of reviews for critter removal, I contacted ASAP Critter Ridder to perform the service. Since this was the season for active bats, I scheduled the earliest appointment available for Sept 9th. Greg arrived promptly at the scheduled time and performed a comprehensive and thorough inspection on the exterior of the home, roof, basement and attic area. There were no signs of bats living in the attic nor basement, although there was a bat dropping in the corner of the basement. Greg mentioned that this may have been the area where the bat exited the home. This initial inspection took approximately 1-1.5 hours to complete at a cost of $89 (minus Angie's List discount). After the inspection, I was given an estimate for the cost to seal the small holes detected on the exterior of the home to prevent future bats from entering. Greg explained that the work could not be performed until the bats had gone through their mating season. I contacted the office the next day to approve and schedule to have the work done. Since no signs of active bats were within the home, my scheduled appointment was for the last week of September or first week of October. The initial $80 cost was deducted from the proposed final cost. Greg along with a staff member performed the repairs on the exterior of the entire house on Oct 1, 2013 which took about three hours to complete. Overall, I was exremely impressed with Greg's knowledge, professionalism and taking the time to explain and answer all of my questions regarding the bats habitat and behavior. I would not hesitate to contact ASAP Critter Ridder in the future.

ASAP Critter Ridder promptly returned my call and set up an appointment to look at our home and provide an estimate for bat eviction services. They arrived on time for the estimate. They inspected the entire house and identified all possible points of entry for bats. I signed the contract for removal and sealing services that day. They were back to complete the services within a week. All services were completed as promised in the amount of time outlined on the estimate. I was billed after all services were completed. ASAP Critter Ridder was easy to work with and professional. I am very happy with the service I received and the price of the services. I would recommend them to anyone who needs an animal removal service and would use them again should the need arise.

Unfortunately, the traps caught two raccoons instead of the skunks. I don't know if the skunks found alternative lodging in one of our neighbor's yards or not, but the raccoons loved the tasty snacks that Critter Ridder used in the traps. The people that came to take care of the traps were very informative and responsive. I would use them again if we get skunks in the area again.

On two separate occasions, we had a bat somehow get into our bedroom wall. We used this company on both occasions. The first time (in 2011), ASAP Critter Ridder came out after we had already removed the bat ourselves. The gentleman did a very thorough survey of our house looking for points of entry and advising us on what to do to avoid future problems. They provided a quote for doing the work to seal the house up better, but also gave us very clear instructions on how to do it on our own to save money. Unfortunately I didn't actually do the work, so in 2012, we had the same situation. Again, we removed the bat ourselves, but I was concerned that we might have more bats living somewhere, so I had ASAP Critter Ridder come out again. He checked the attic and around the perimeter and concluded that we didn't have any bats living in the house. He also removed two dead bats from the hole I cut in the drywall where we had removed the live one. Overall, this was a great company to work with. My only complaint is that they were not able to come out as quickly as I would have liked (which is why I ended up removing the live bat on each occasion on my own). Also, I believe that the price I paid was based on being a repeat customer and very little work being required since I had already cut a hole in our wall, etc. Also, his inspection was very limited on this trip since he had already inspected the house in detail in 2011 (with a higher price and more time spent on-site).

It was a good price; He was punctual and did a professional job sort of a master of all trades. I enjoyed watching him work and talking with him. Over all I was very pleased.
Description of Work: Tapped wall inside where animal made pecking sound. Small bird came cam out of hole in wood trim of half moon shaped transom window. A piece of metal was cut to fit the curve of the trim. Painted white to match. It was caulked and blended in and would not be noticed with a casual glance. Another transom was repaired where no entry was found in a similar way on this day It was a perfect job in every way. It met all my expectations. The price was quite reasonable.

We had critter ridder come out to remove a groundhog that was digging near our foundation. They were fast, professional, humane and even took time to talk to my very fascinated five year old son. While they were at my house they looked around for any other issues (squirrels, bats, etc.) found nothing additional and did this at no extra charge. Would def recommend and use again.

We were hearing a noise that sounded like squirrels above our second floor bathroom ceiling, but when we went in the attic we saw no evidence of animals. We called ASAP critter Ridder and they came out to assess the situation. They said that the squirrels had worked their way into a space under the attic floor and that there was a nursing mother with babies in the nest. The set traps on our roof for a couple of weeks until they had caught all of the squirrels. We had to call them any time we saw a squirrel in the trap cage and they would come out quickly to remove the animal and reset the trap. Once they were satisfied that all of the squirrels were out of the house, they sealed up the opening. They stayed in contact with us throughout the process, calling frequently and stopping by to check the traps. The process was expensive - over $200 for the initial assessment, then $50 every time they caught a squirrel in the trap, then $125 for the repair. But the work had to be done, so we were willing to pay. They gave us one squirrel removal free because they were unable to do the repair when it was first ready because their truck was in the shop and not available. This was very fair, and we appreciated the good customer service.
Description of Work: Critter Ridder trapped squirrels that were on our roof and living in a space uner our attic floor. They sealed up the opening so that squirrels could not get into that space once they had trapped and taken them away.

The whole experience was very good. They even worked on sundays so none of the animals would have to remain in cages for very long. They were very good about explaining and answering any questions. The only thing I would say is if you have outdoor pets you will have to watch them around the captured pets. My dog kept eating the bait which was not toxic by the way. We would have to replace marshmallows and nuts every so often.
Description of Work: The family owned business was helping us get rid of racoons and chipmunks. They set traps and retrieved the animals for us. They were very helpful and considerate and always came when they said they were coming. Since I was a little upset about hurting the animals they were very concerned about my feelings and explained everything well and with compassion. They did not abuse any of the animals in my opinion even though some were going to be euthanized because of state laws. The
