We called because we our front flower beds has been completely torn up by some critters. ASAP Critter Ridder came out promptly and laid traps in the front and back yards. Over the course of a few days we caught a rabbit, 3 raccoons and opossum. ASAP came out daily to remove any critters caught and rebait the traps as needed. I would definitely recommend this Company. Note also that though I rated the price a B, the Company was significantly lower than competitor pricing. Very happy overall.

Called ASAP at 9:00 am; they said they could be out by 1:00 same day. Greg Brinkman was great. First, he quickly trapped the bat (which is all I was expecting). Then he inspected all over the house - in two atics and over the entire roof to determine how it got in. He spent a lot of time, answered all my questions, and charged me $50 less than the price I was quoted. Fabulous service .. thanks!

They came by even without me calling them to check on the traps. They stayed on top of everything and. Did what they supposed to do and did a good job. I also appreciated that they took care of the repairs rather than me having to go to another company to take care of that.
Description of Work: They trapped a few squirrels. They also did some minor repair where the squirrels had damaged the soffit. They put metal up instead of wood so they couldn't get back in.

I called a number of different animal removal specialists after seeing a raccoon go in and out from underneath our porch and after our dog kept trying to squeeze underneath our porch. ASAP Critter Ridder gave the best price for the inspection and removal of the animals. They also were able to come out the same day at no additional charge. Greg was very professional and gave tips on preventing raccoons and other critters from accessing the home and porch space. The raccoons were caught humanely and removed quickly from the property.

They came out, examined the porch, and determined where best to set a trap. Within two days, the first possum was caught and we left the trap out until two more were captured. They were very professional and showed me where the possums were coming in and what repairs needed to be done to prevent them from coming back. I would highly recommend their services to anyone!

After hearing an animal scratching around in a particular section of our bedroom wall for multiple nights (and during the day as well), we decided it must be stuck (the scratching was starting to sound weaker by day three). We originally called another company and they were going to come out the next day, but I also called ASAP Critter Ridder to see if they could come out sooner. Mary was extremely helpful and informative on the phone, but unfortunately they were booked up and couldn't come out until about five days later (there was a weekend involved), so we stuck with the other company initially. Later that night though, we decided we didn't want to listen to the scratching another night and we didn't want the animal to die in our wall and the other company indicated that they would just set traps initially and wait a couple days before attempting to extricate the animal, so we got brave. We decided to carefully cut a hole in the wall and use a box to hopefully catch whatever ran out through the hole we made. After cutting the hole and waiting for quite a few minutes, eventually a nose appeared, then the tip of a wing, etc. and we discovered it was a bat. Eventually the bat ended up in the box and was released outside and flew away. At this point, we decided to cancel our next day appointment with the other company and make an appointment with ASAP Critter Ridder since they were so helpful on the phone (and we no longer had an urgent situation). Greg came out right on schedule several days later and performed a very thorough inspection of the house. He found no evidence of bats but did identify a significant number of places where they could possibly get in and out. He gave clear guidance on what work needs done to prevent bats from getting into the attic and provided a quote for doing the work ($1,100 minus the inspection fee, which would be applied to the bill if we have them do the work). He was very helpful in giving us guidance on how to do the work ourselves if we wish and didn't push us one way or the other - he just presented the facts. We haven't yet decided on whether to attempt the work ourselves or contract with them, but I have no reservations about having them do the work should we go that route. They seem very professional. As a side note, their inspection price was within $5 of their competition, so I believe the inspection was priced competitively.
Description of Work: Inspected our house to determine whether we had bats living somewhere and from where they could be getting in.

see above---Greg finished the repairs on 3 areas on the soffit and it looks great. We will definitely recommend him to others and use again.
Description of Work: I called since I knew there were birds nesting in 2 holes in my soffit. Greg was very nice and professional. He took his time to explain everything and gave honest opinions, even if they weren't in his favor (such as ways to remove small animals yourself). He was thorough and looked in our attic and gave me options. He even gave me a recommendation and card for an exterminator. Greg went way above and beyond just a service call!!!! He will be coming back to fix the holes once the baby birds are gone, per my desire. His quote seemed very reasonable.

I called at 9:30 AM and the turtle was gone by 11:30 AM. I didn't expect to have my problem reaolved so quickly. The two persons from the company were clean cut and professional. They gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing and treated the poor turtle with respect. they were very also very personable and were patient answering our many questions. I was impressed and would use them again.
Description of Work: The company removed a large snapping turtle (its shell was about the size of a dinner plate) from flower bed just outside my basement walkout door. The company captured the turtle, placed it in a box, and took it with them to a wildlife sanctuary.

I had a squirrel that had burrowed its way in between the first floor and the basement from a small hole in my foundation. I came home from a business trip to hear scratching in the walls and insulation on the floor in the basement. I contacted A.S.A.P. Critter Ridder and they came out that weekend to survey the damage and do an inspection of the house to see if there were any other potential areas where animals can gain entry and laid traps outside the hole to catch the squirrels. They were extremely accomodating to my work and travel schedule, showing up almost daily to check the traps (and at times needing to change the type of trap), brush off snow, and generally make sure that everything was in order and even went the extra mile by leaving me daily voicemail updates on their progress while I was out of town, knowing how concerned I was about the possible damage the squirrel was causing to my home. Eventually, two squirrels were trapped and removed. After I had not heard any further squirrel activity, they came and repaired the area where the squirrels were getting in (with all repairs guaranteed). Everyone was extremely responsive and very pleasant. Fingers crossed I will never need their services again but in the event that I need to have any wildlife removal in future, I will definitely call ASAP Critter Ridders. Great work and great customer service!

We had animals in the attic of our rental house but were not sure if they were raccoons or squirrels. Greg came out and inspected the house and entry points and determined we had raccoons living in the attic. They set traps outside and continuously checked them. After a couple of weeks with no activity, they decided to change the location of the traps. Greg worked directly with our tenants and constantly kept us updated on any activity. I highly recommend ASAP Critter Ridder.

I saw a squirrel on our deck with grass and leaves in its mouth, then I saw it on our roof (it climbed the chimney), then I lost it, but I saw some grass clinging to the wire mesh leaf guard on the gutter. There was a gap between the mesh and the gutter, but I didn't want to believe it. A few days later, the squirrel followed the same route around the deck to the chimney. This time I saw it crawl into the gutter - time for Angie's List. I talked to a few companies and set an appointment with Greg. He came out and looked at the gutter and all around the house, even getting up on the roof and in the attic to look for possible entry points/activity. Fortunately, he did not see a clear hole from the gutter to the attic, but there were signs of activity. He explained the process of setting/checking a cage and provided a quote for repairs. I asked him to set a cage, and he also closed the gap under the wire mesh so he could determine if there were any squirrels already in the attic that would try to get out. They wanted to close the cage for the holiday weekend or possibly remove it due to no activity for several days. That Friday morning, there was a squirrel trapped. They removed it later that day and re-set a cage for a few more days. The squirrel was a pregnant female, so luckily, we most likely did not have babies in our attic. Greg came to remove the cage and performed repairs - he secured a loose gutter apron which he thought could have led to attic penetration eventually, screwed down the leaf guard and also caulked a soffit that I had pointed out on our inspection. There was a wide gap between soffit and fascia board, and I knew that wasps liked that spot, and he felt it could also lead to critter entry. Greg and Mary were both very helpful throughout the process and explained everything well. They ultimately left the decisions up to me whether to set a cage and/or do any of the proposed repairs since he did not find an entry hole. Greg told me that he has a lot of experience with home renovation/repairs and so he strives to fix critter damage thoroughly and properly to prevent recurring activity. I hope that we won't need to hire him again, but won't hesitate to call if we have problems in the future.
Description of Work: Inspected roofline and house for possible squirrel entry points, set trap on roof near squirrel activity, removed trapped squirrel ($45/per animal), performed repairs and preventive maintenance on gutter and gutter guard as well as another soffit ($75).

ASAP Critter Ritter was very professional, courteous on the phone, timely and thorough. I would use them again and refer them for their excellent professionalism and work.
Description of Work: I have already completed this survey, so this time will make it short. We had a raccoon living in our attic. ASAP Critter Ridder came the day I called, placed a trap to see if the animal was residing in our attic, and told us to let them know the next day. The raccoon was indeed in the trap, they came out the next day to remove it and set more traps in the event there were more animals. Three days later, with no other animals in the attic, they sealed the entrance.

I called them and the lady was very nice and helpful. They had something happen that they were not able to get away from. We were considering whether to get rid of it or not and she advised us to hold off. She told us that if the raccoon was still around, they would come by and get rid of it. They didn?t charge me at all for the phone call. The amount that she said they would charge for the critter removal seemed pretty reasonable though. She seemed like a pretty knowledgeable and helpful person. I would have used them had the raccoon stuck around.

The process was excellent from start to finish.
Description of Work: We saw a raccoon on our roof one evening, and witnessed him going into a small hole in the eaves/flashing of the roof. We had no idea how he fit in there, but we wanted him OUT! I searched Angie's List for animal removal. Greg came out and searched two attics, finding footprints of the raccoon in our larger attic. He explained that he would place a cage with bait...marshmellows, sardines and liquid lure...to see if the raccoon would come back later in the day/night. We were told to check the cage, which was on our roof, the next morning. Greg also found two other small holes where birds had tried to nest in the roof, and suggested that they be repaired also. The next morning, Mr. Raccoon was indeed in the cage, and we called Mary to let her know. Later that day her son came out to get the raccoon, and bait the cage again. He also put newspaper in the hole which would let us know if another animal tried to get in, if it was moved. They take the raccoon and give it to a third party who disposes of the animal humanely, as per state law as they are full of disease. After two or three more days, the newspaper was in tact, and Greg came back on the hottest day ever, and spent time repairing the initial hole in the eaves. I felt sorry for him as he was drenched in sweat from head to toe and never got to say "Thank you." I was very pleased with the ASAP promptness of this company, and for his telling us there were other areas on the roof that birds were trying to get into. They are very professional and I never felt that questions were unanswered. I would use this company again, and will suggest them to anyone having an uninvited visitor in their home. The initial visit was $119 for setting up the trap, and the remainder of the fee was for animal removal and repairing the three areas. - Lisa Brackmann

One night we heard an animal that had somehow been trapped in our wall. We left a message for ASAP Critter Ridder who called and came out the next day. Greg climbed into our attic and was able to locate the area where the animal had fallen. He also examined our roof and found the entry point where animals were getting in. After all was said and done, within a week's time, he performed multiple services: 1) He very neatly cut a small area of the wall to remove the animal (a cute baby squirrel) and covered the hole with some flashing. Fortunately the wall was behind a kitchen counter so he went in through that side so we didn't have to cut and patch dry-wall on the other side which we had recently painted. 2) He caught another baby squirrel and a nursing female (had been housing in our attic). 3) He patched the point of entry on the roof as well as reinforced other possible future points of entry with better material than what was up there (for example, we had foam plugs which he replaced with more durable rubber; we had a hole in the eaves which had been patched with foam; he repaired it with flashing and camouflaged it with paint). Greg was very professional as was Mary who we spoke to on the phone.
