He arrived on time. He went through the whole house. He found things that my husband and I missed on our initial walk through and my husband is usually very good at spotting problems.

John did a great job. He arrived early. He check every details for the house and provide a very detailed report. He explain the issues very well too. I would like to recommend him to others.

It went very well. John did a full inspection of both units that took around 3 hours total to complete for a 2000 total sq. ft duplex. In the basement John gave his thoughts on the structural integrity of the house since he was a licensed structural engineer which was nice to hear from him. He found a few leaking joints in the gas lines which we had replaced prior to our closing dates. Over all I would strongly recommend using him in the future.

Everything went well. We will definitely hire this company again if their services are needed again. I was glad that our home was finally tested for radon and also happy that i made the right choice to hire this company through Angie's List and got the discounted rate.

I didn't have so great experience with Metro Home Inspections who was actually recommended by our roofer last year. In fact, our realtor is taking him off the list. It didn't feel like he noticed a few things. I wouldn't recommend him again. He was a nice enough guy, we got our home inspection, we got what we wanted but I think we could have used a little bit more. I also know the limits of home inspection, they literally are just looking at things and they're not looking at the knitty and gritty. The price is pretty reasonable.

John was very easy to schedule with, using a scheduling service that is available even over the weekends. He confirmed within 24 hours directly and was very punctual for the appointment. I had originally requested a home inspection plus a foundation certification, but John explained to me that I likely didn't need the certification and saved me significant money. He added that if it turned out I did need one, he could easily provide it based on his notes from the home inspection so it wouldn't need to be another appointment. John was patient in explaining things and was efficient. I would recommend John for general home inspection and foundation assessments.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. He was punctual and on time. He did a professional job. The price was very nice and very reasonable. He was there before me. He did all the inspections and clearly told me what was covered and what was not covered. He communicated by phone and email. He came ahead of time. He was very professional and did all the things that were requested. I would definitely use him again.

I was very pleased with John's inspection. He was extremely thorough and documented all of the issues. I had the report that evening. His report includes not just pictures, but notes made on the picture pointing out the problem that I thought was pretty nifty. It was a stroke of luck that John was able to do the inspection with less than a week's notice. He is a former structural engineer and the century house has a badly sloping kitchen floor. Because of his report and his sense of urgency in addressing it, adding a support beam was a condition of purchase that the seller accepted. Additionally, he noticed something concerning in the circuit box and immediately recommended that an electrician inspect that. I appreciated that he was willing to know when a more specialized person was necessary. His adding that recommendation in the report also helped with having the seller agree to address the myriad of electrical issues he found. He will definitely have saved me several thousands of dollars in the end. And I've got a list of things to address myself over the next few years.

Mr. Sender was thorough and prepared. well versed in all aspects. started at the top and went all the way through the basement. Willing to listen to my questions and answered everything. Found some defects we would never have noticed.

Early arrival. Patient explanation. Step-by-step exam of grounds inside and out. Offered suggestions of trade disciplines to go further for repairs.

John was very thorough and professional. He was very prompt in delivering and picking up the test kit. He provided a lot of detail around the danger of radon and the results. I was also comforted by the fact that he was not involved with mitigation work, so there was no concern about receiving purposely erroneous results with the expectation of being pressured into using him for mitigation. That being said, I would gladly have him perform the mitigation work if that was a service he offered.

It was easy to schedule an appointment with John although our timeline is tight. Moreover, John was flexible to adjust his schedule when the seller unexpectedly informed us that he won't be available on the day of appointment. He showed up on time, and started working immediately. He invited us to accompanying him, explaining to us in details all his observations. After a thorough inspection which lasted about 2 hours, he was able to deliver a report in 2 hours, which was amazing. He did minor revisions later when he found some typos. The report is helpful. He also put some photos he took on his website, which we downloaded and will keep for future reference. The overall experience was excellent, and I'll definitely recommend.

Flat rate was nice and convenient. He was there on time, did a thorough inspection and had the report to us by the end of the day.

His ability to do the service promptly and he took care of us on a Saturday. On the second inspection on another property he helped me twice and didn't charge me a thing. He didn't charge me the second time because he realized it wasn't my fault. The property manager forgot the key to the property.

John was extremely professional and thorough, walking my son through every note no matter how small. He maintained an even and professional disposition even when the homeowner aggressively disputed a wiring issue John had discovered. He was very responsive via email or his answering service, using getting back to my son with 30 minutes of any contact. I feel we have a very good sense of the house my son is going to buy thanks to John's work. Highly recommended

Metro Home Inspections was a detailed, professional inspection. Jon inspected every nook and cranny with his own flashlight and ladder. I was very pleased with his professionalism and knowledge. Highly recommended!

John Sender is the utmost AWESOMENESS (I know, it's not a word.....yet!) Home Inspector in the business. I've used him for both residential (One, Two AND Three family homes) AND commercial (Two Storefronts and apartments up and down!). He did an outstanding job for us. Our house is 59 years old so we expected to have some issues. He went over the attic, foundation, everywhere and everything. He gave us a complete and thorough written report that we could then act on to fix those things. I will use him again in the future.

Mr. Sender arrived promptly and did a thorough inspection of the exterior and interior of the house, literally from top to bottom. He noted a number of both potential and actual problems, including some I would not have even thought to look for. He also patiently addressed a number of questions that I had. His service included an estimate of repair costs that would likely be needed, an extra service that cost an additional $100 but was well worth the price. After the inspection he promptly sent a report, links to pictures taken during the inspection, and a cost estimate indicating that over $50,000 in repairs would likely be needed (including new garage, remediation of chipping paint, new driveway, waterproofing, foundation repair, and repair of hazardous electrical and plumbing issues, all of which the house definitely did need). My wife and I would not have been able to afford these repairs, and even if we could, the resulting value of the house probably would not have been sufficient to recoup their cost. As a result, we reluctantly decided to back out of the purchase. The $400 we paid to Metro Home Inspections probably saved us from what might have been a financial disaster . . . probably among the best investments we've ever made.

Mr. Sender did a very thorough job on the inspection of our future home. He was very professional. He made direct eye contact and explain everything to us in detail. He showed through his work how much he cared. He took his time and inspected every detail of our home. He was honest and trustworthy. We would definitely use his services again.
