The Plumbing Source

After my initial inquiry, the company sent a plumber over to determine the appropriate size of a new water heater as well as to assess the extent of new plumbing that would be required. He also answered my questions about maintanence requirements (minimal), life expectancy (up to 20 years), and wait time for hot water on the second floor of my colonial home (no longer than a traditional water heater). A representative from The Plumbing Source phoned within the week to give me an estimate. I already knew that this unit would be considerably more than a standard water heater, but was committed to using less energy. I also knew that there was a 30% tax credit available for this year and next. I decided to go ahead. Two workmen arrived at 8:45 AM and, except for a 45 minute lunch, worked continuously until 5:30. They set up a break in the back yard to cut the pipe they would need to extend both the plumbing and water lines. They had every imagineable tool with them, strewn about the basement floor. They carried on in the basement while I worked upstairs, just barely knowing they were there. It was a lot more work than I anticipated. I had not considered the size of the exhaust hole on the side of the house (about 5" diameter) nor that this hole would have to be covered and sealed. I have used this company in the past and will use them again. They are always professional.

He was professional and he did a good job, and didn?t create any mess at all. He came three times and ensured that we didn?t have to replace the whole thing.

They came right out to do the work - even when it was late in the evening (about 9 or 10). They were very nice and pleasant guys to work with. They explained the problem for me and were able to take care of it. I will call them for my future plumbing needs!

They did a terrific Job and came right on time. they gave me a good breakdown of the work involved. they also did some additional work on a valve for free. I really appreciated that.

The company gave me an estimate on 3/31 and came out to do the repair work the next day. The plumber thought he would have to cut a hole in the ceiling below the tub in order to access the old parts. But he was responsive to my desire to not cut through ceiling unless absolutely necessary and figured out a way to do it without going through the ceiling. I have used this company many times before. The office staff is pleasant, they schedule apppointments promptly, they show up when they are scheduled to show up, and the workers are always professional and courteous.

I called this company two times to set an appointment. They said they would call me back both times. I did not receive a call back.

Their professionalism was outstanding, work was done well and they did not leave a mess behind.

They're a great bunch of guys. They're prompt, not to mention funny. They really know what their doing. They're absolutely terrific plumbers. They do everything neatly and make sure to clean up after themselves.

The plumber was on time, very pleasant, and very efficient. We've used the company 4 or 5 times, and they have been a pleasure to work with every time.

The toilet was not installed properly by another company and The Plumbing Source was able to come out and install the toilet and fix the leak.

I was very pleased with this company and with their professionalism. They had to move some of my items to get to the job and were very helpful. Overall it was a very good experience and I would recommend them. I was also pleased with the price.

Came in and diagnosed that there was indeed a leak in a pipe behind a wall. Before cutting into the finished dry wall, made every effort (including getting a camera to see behind a wall) to attack the problem from an area in the garage where the dry wall was unfinished. Once he found the leak, he dropped all other work for the day and worked to fix the problem in the same day. Because of the location of the pipe, he had to work in a tiny space behind the furnace to fix the pipe, moving both the hot water heater and some ducts to get to the problem. He did this efficiently, carefully, and put everything back in place properly. We had a water pressure issue that we noticed after he fixed the issue, and he drove back to our house the night we called to again diagnose and fix that problem. He was respectful, clean, and made every effort to do as little damage to walls, etc as possible.

Everything turned out beautifully. He explained everything he had to do. Used copper because it lasts longer. His fee was very reasonable.

I am very satisfied with their service. They do a good job.

Albert S. and Greg did a great job of delivering bad news. We called the Plumbing Source because the drain in the dishwasher wasn't working. We thought that the hose was clogged. However, Al and Greg said that the problem was that the dishwasher pump wasn't working. Our alternatives were to buy a new pump for an old dishwasher, replace the dishwasher, or do without a dishwasher. If we wanted to have a usable dishwasher, the current one would have to be pulled out (either to replace the pump or to install a new one). This was a problem because there were several layers of flooring, so that the legs of the dishwasher were below the floor level. Al and Greg concluded that the best alternative was to remove some of the ceramic tile countertop so that the dishwasher could be lifted out. They left us with two proposals: $530-600 for removing a section of the countertop and removing the dishwasher and installing a new one. Or $200-250 to remove the old dishwasher without installing a new one. While they were here, they noticed that the trap beneath the sink was cracked, so they replaced it.

Excellent work. They were on time. He was friendly and professional. I have used them before.

They were able to get out right away, diagnose the leak, work with the city to get the water turned off, and performed the repair as soon as we were ready. Great work!

When they replaced a clogged nozzle on the faucet in the kitchen they found sediment indicating a deteriorating dip tube in the hot water tank. The tank was old and needed replacement. Two days later they replaced the tank and all the other necessary plumbing. The entire procedure went without any problems.

Everything went very well. The plumbing is expensive at $100 per hour, but you can't find much cheaper than that. They seem to do high quality work, and they are dependable. We were happy with them.

They are very clean and neat unlike some people and cleaned up after themselves. I like them and I would use them again. They were very good and very efficient.
