The House Doctors

They were excellent in the service they provided.

We are so happy with the work House Doctors did on the baseboards and gutters - it gives the house a whole new look!! They did a fabulous job on the tile repair, as well. We had a few tiles break during the installation of the baseboards, but they were extremely prompt in returning to fix them once we brought it to their attention. Bob, Mike and the workers were all very, very pleasant to work with - we will definitely use them again to make our new home our castle!

Plumber informed me that the faucet was shot, but had a lifetime warranty. After contacting the manufacturer, and receiving a brand new faucet like the one I had, he came back and quickly installed the new faucet. He was fast, efficient and knew exactly what he was doing. I was expecting a large bill, since he made 2 trips to my house, but was only charged for the final install. I also have to give props to Moen for standing by their products. My wife loves the faucet so everyone is happy! I only call The House Doctor's when I need work done on my house - these guys are GREAT!

They were very nice, respectable, timely, and they cleaned up well.

These two women were punctual, brought their own cleaning supplies and went throught the house with me as I told them what I expexcted. Not only did they do what I expected; they did so much more and they did it in record time. They were fast , efficient and needed very little direction. It was without a doubt the best house cleaning I have ever encountered. The house looked immaculate and smelled fresh and clean. I called Bob and asked him to do the work on short notice because the contractor I originally had asked to do the work never showed up. He had his son come out the next day (Thursday) and someone from his firm completed the work on Friday so it would be done before my new tenants moved in on Sunday. They did a good job of securing the bannisters, repaired the drywall, left the key on the counter and locked the house as promised. Everything was done well and in time for the new tenant's arrival. I particularly appreciate the fact that they found a way to schedule this repair on very short notice.

They were professional, thorough and did good work The individuals were personable, on time, and responsive. While at one juncture we had some concerns, Bob was very responsive and we worked things out quite satisfactorily. We will likely use their talents and services again.

I can't understand why they didn't call back, and why they would leave the first message implying they'd come and then not bother to call back. It was very surprising and unprofessional, if they don't have time to take on customers, all they had to do was say so or at least not leave the first message saying they could come, and then not answer my quick answer back.

Very professional, great service, all work done to estimated budget, no problems. The workers cleaned up and the house looked great when they were done.

They did good but they were overpriced.I was really displeased that they wanted over $200.00 for the service they did.I would not recommend them.

The original call was for gutter cleaning and re-staking the gutter on one side of the house. The first call was answered immediately and I was given an estimate. Weather delayed the service a little but I was happy with the promptness in providing the work. Unfortunately the job was more involved and required replacement of some fo the facia boards, adding in wood to nail the facia to. The person doing the cleaning told me I would have an estimate on the rest of the work in a day or two. 3 to 4 weeks later, after multiple calls and messages and finally asking if they really wanted the job or should I look for someone else, I had an estimate. Once again the work was promptly completed after the estimate and was well done. Both times I received an invoice based on the estimate not the work done. After the first job I called back and spoke them about the fact they did not complete the first job as estimated because the one side needed repaired and they corrected the invoice amout. The second job was estimated as needing facia boards and sistering in most of the rafter ends on that side of the house, but only about half of it needed replaced once they actually got in there to do the job. Again the invoice was based on the original estimate, not the work done. I left a messages as soon as I received the invoice and waited 2 weeks before I called back. This time i reached a person, who had someone call me back. Again the invoice amount was adjusted to match the work done. Overall I think The House Doctors is a good company and once the work is scheduled it is completed promptly and appears well done. The problems seems to be in communication and follow through, but not in performing the work. If you have time and patience to deal with the delays in getting an estimate and following through on the invoice it's worth dealing with the company.

My laundry tub backed up and over flowed. I call The House Doctors that morning. Bob called me right back and sent the plummer to my home that same day. As usual he did a great job.

Bob answered my call and walked me through the process of forwarding him a picture of the damage on my phone (I had used this function only once before and was pleased to accomplish this task!). His repair person came at the date and time that was convenient for my neighbor, and the problem was solved by removing a piece of existing siding on the back of the house covered by a planter, using that piece (which matched) on the damaged side, and creating a new piece of aluminum siding for behind the planter in the back. The texture and color wasn't a perfect match behind the planter, but it is not visible and will function adequately to prevent water from leaking in where the original siding was removed. House Doctors solved the problem at a very reasonable charge, and everyone was satisfied. Apparently, only one source in California still makes aluminum siding and it would have been impossible to match the color and texture (and weathering). The cost of that siding would have been around $300 for a 16-foot strip and still would not have matched. What initially seemed like a disaster, turned out well thanks to House Doctors!

I feel that it went very well. When I did have an issue, there was no trouble in getting a technician back out to fix the problem.

They were very nice and thorough, we were very pleased with them. When speaking with him on the phone afterwards he asked if I needed anything else, and I mentioned I needed a plumber. He said he would have a plumber at my house within two hours and he did!

These guys are great! They keep me informed, are friendly and do a great job. They check with me if a decision has to be made and consistently leave me feeling good about both their work and my dealing with them.

From minor problem to major repair, these are the guys to hire. No job is too small and they are always responsive, responsible and courteous.

It went great. The day we called the owner Bob sent Jay out to look the door and diagnose the problem. Jay diagnosed the problem and made sure we could get the door closed. Subsequently it was determined that the company that made our door was no longer in business. House doctors told us they would look for the parts and we also requested a quote on a new door. Approximately 7 days later we received a call informing us that they found the parts for our door. Jay and Mark repaired the door and it works like a brand new door. We truly appreciated The House Doctors taking the time to find the parts instead of simply telling us they couldn't find them and require us to get a new sliding glass door. We plan on using The House Doctors again and in fact have several spring projects in mind. We highly recommend this company to all.

Contacted The House Doctors via Angie's List email. Bob contacted me via email and then by phone and said that his electrical installer Rod would contact me shortly. After not being contacted for two weeks, I called Bob and asked when Rod would call me. Rod then called the same day and arranged to come over the next day. Rod showed up on time and I showed him the work I wanted done. I found it odd that Rod did not take any notes. A week later Bob called with a quote only for the installation of the electrical outlets, which was higher than I expected. Because I needed the outlets installed before another contractor was to begin work in four weeks, I accepted the quote if it could be done within four weeks. Rob quaranteed that the work would be done within that time frame. That was the last time I heard from The House Doctors.

I searched them through Angie’s List. I liked that they called me back promptly. I liked that they were willing to work with me in terms of price. They did not finish the work to my satisfaction now. They told me they were going to come back and sand it on top of the railing and wood filler in, they never called me back or finished the job. To try to get hold of them would be on my list of to dos. I took them because they got highest ratings on Angie’s List. Another problem I had was they were not very good at communicating with me in terms of what time they were going to come. It took them seven hours. They were supposed to come at 9:00, but they did not come until 11:00 and then did not finish the job until 5:00. It took them a long time to finish the job. I kept trying to call and ask and they were not able to give me really good answer of what was going on. I would probably not consider using their services again in the future.

Mike and Mark called before they came over (running a little late - the weather was terrible). Mike and Mark were a pleasure to deal with - very friendly and informative. They made short order of re-texturing the entire ceiling and when they were done, the wow factor was huge. It looked like a brand new ceiling! I will be calling House Doctor again to fix my living room ceiling and highly recommend them for this job.
