I called and a team -- the owner and her daughter -- came out the next day. I've had cleaning services charge less, but Tammy and her daughter cleaned far, far better! As I said above, the house was really dirty. I was impressed with how clean they got it. They even threw out some of the clutter in my bedroom -- with my permission. They also were sweet to my two little dogs. I'll definitely use them again.

They did a good job. He went up and beyond the call of duty. There was actually something on the concrete driveway that he noticed and took care of as well.

As always, it went very well. Rod, the electrician, is always professional and explains what he sees and what needs to be done. Everything worked properly when he left.

This company is very conscientious! They were respectful, careful, did beautiful work and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. They repaired the damaged soffit and rehung the gutter. (And in my opinion in a better fashion than it was originally!) Inside they removed the damaged part of the ceiling in closet and put up drywall. Mudding was done on a subsequent day, and a third time was necessary for painting. They removed and rehung all the hardware when painting. They had me inspect it with each step to make sure I was satisfied. In addition, they replaced a piece of my kitchen ceiling, which also needed to be retexturized when done, and they did such a good job that you could not tell where the new piece was. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Mike was going to give us an estimate on work we needed done at our other property. He called and set up an appt. Instead of going to the actual property he showed up at our reisdence apparently getting that address from our phone number instead of using the address we gave him. My husband told him we needed the estmate by the followong Monday 8/13/12 which he indicated was no problem. We have not heard back and today is the 19th. UPDATE: The day after this review we recieved a call from Mike asking if we found someone for our job and what we thought about his quote. We told hom we never recieved his quote which he said he mailed to the address that needed the work and not our home address. He was given an email to send the quote. He said he would send out another quote immediatley. That was over a month ago and we have not recieved it through USPS or email,

I called the number listed and a week later I got a call back from the owner of the company. I told him what I needed done, and the price he quoted was extremely reasonable based on another quote I received. The owner told me he was backed up with jobs and asked if he could do the work later in the summer, which was OK. I got a call a week or so later from the owner's son and we scheduled it for 11:00 on August 13. At exactly 11:00 that day the worker showed up. He did the threshhold replacement and painted it. He also sealed the gaps between my concrete stoop and the house foundation. He was clean, prompt, profesisional and efficient. I'm very pleased with the work and price. If I have other jobs that fall into the handyman category, I will use this company again.

Excellent work in all categories! As always, the House Doctors are highly skilled, very gracious professionals in every way. They are even good with the cats! The bathroom floor is a delight! The water damaged areas are now repaired and no further damage should occur. The flooring repair, Pergo installation, and woodwork replacement (where needed) were beautifully done. The porch floor looks splendid as well. When I initially scraped and repainted this floor myself, I was most discouraged to find extensive water damage (probably exacerbated by last year's record-breaking rainfall). My hand went right through three of the boards. The House Doctors repaired and reinforced everything necessary to restore the integrity of the floor and did a beautiful job integrating the new boards into the existing, undamaged areas of the porch floor. The entire south side of our bungalow needed considerable scraping and touch-up painting. This involved three different colors of paint, and the work was done beautifully. Our asphalt driveway had not had any work done for about five years. The crew added cold patches to the low spots near the garage, cleaned, and crack-filled/sealed the entire driveway. Although our bungalow is rather small, the driveway is long. This is not a small job! Again, the work was very nicely done. The gutter splash guard addition and evaluation were to correct an ongoing problem with water pouring off the roof and somehow avoiding the gutter and downspout. It has been a curious and perplexing situation, but the new guard and water flow routing appears quite likely to correct this problem. We always call the House Doctors when we need repairs done here because their work has been consistently excellent and their staff are always so courteous, friendly, and professional. I feel perfectly comfortable with their working inside our home when I'm here and when I'm not. Their pricing is fair for the high quality of work, and they do exactly what they say they will do. They don't cut corners, and even go out of their way to make things even better than I would have expected. I will continue to recommend this company to my neighbors, friends, and colleagues.

This Job had several components: 1) Gutters that needed cleaning an repair2) Repair of a large sink hole at a rear corner of our house3) Repair of a roof leak that allowed water to seep into our kitchen After my initial phone call, the person who ultimately did the work appeared promptly to assess what needed to be done and to render a work proposal. The work to be done and the proposed methods to be used were presented and discussed with me. After receiving a written proposal including prices, the work was scheduled and proceeded to completion promptly. During all phases of this job I was treated courteously and professionally. The work was completed quickly and successfullywith my house returned to a "like new" appearance. All refuse created during the job was cleaned up and hauled away. This is at least the third time that I have use the services of "The House Doctors". This job was one more in my list of excellent jobs that they have done.

I telephoned Bob Vecchio and requested a quote to repair my chimney and repair and paint my screened porch. One week after my call I received a telephone quote for the chimney. I reminded them of the porch request and was led to believe I would be contacted. Two weeks later I received another telephone call and quote for the chimney and porch. I was surprised to receive the call and asked how it was possible since no one phoned to set up an appointment. I was told that someone had been to my home to look at the job. I did not give them permission to be on my property without my supervision (and no one else living here did either.) Was someone on my roof to look at my chimney? I was told the quote included tuckpointing for the chimney which I didn't request and am skeptical I need. The verbal quote included prep and painting for outside and inside the porch. Did someone enter my porch without my permission? Without an appointment and meeting the Vecchios I was given no opportunity to explain the whole job. I had hoped that the quote would have included repairs and replacing screens and without an appointment all this verbal quote has done is set me back three weeks in finding and hiring someone interested in working. Considering the size of the job (over several thousand dollars verbally quoted) a written quote was expected. I am very disappointed with my first Angie's List contact.

They did a beautiful job and when they finished it looked like a completely different room. They were very good about cleaning up after themselves and putting everything back where it belongs. Overall I was very pleased with their service. I love their work and hire these technicians all the time. I plan to continue to use again in the future. I also wanted to mention that I had the House Doctors back out for a pest control issue. I had birds getting into my house and they came out and fixed the problem for me. They had to reinstall the gutters and the facial wraps. They also bombed the area to get them out of there and remove three baby birds. They did a great job and I am so thankful for them. I have tried to have this issue resolved over the past year and have had no luck with pest control companies. They performed the services for $867.00.

House Doctors were prompt and courteous the work was flawless.efficient and effective, they kept their word and were reasonabilly price.

They didn't know what they were doing. I wasn't particularly happy with the work that was done. The guy who came didn't even bring with him a saw.

Always an excellent experience. They are responsive from the first phone call to the finished job. I have used them often for work and would continue to use them.

First - I cant recall exactly what the bill was, but it was very reasonable. I had a number of things to discuss with Bob at the House Doctors and helped me out with everything. I was having problems with my washing machine, and Bob walked me through some steps on the phone that resolved my problem. So that was a relief! Next, I worked with Rod who came out and replaced a dimmer switch then exterior two post lamps. We had some trouble with the exterior lights that took another trip out, but we resolved the issue. Rod stayed until he was sure everything was fine. Both Bob and Rod are very friendly and personable. I would definitely recommend them again.

I have not story to tell nothing was done

I contracted with Mike Vecchio to do a large amount of insurance work to restore my basement after a sewer backup. It was a little difficult to get in contact with him at first due to conflicting schedules, but he was very responsive once the work began. He was very willing to work with us on price and options. The workers were very professional and we're very pleased with the results.

Bob responded very quickly to my call. Someone came out so they could see what I wanted. Bob then called and quoted a price and sent a guy out within a few days since I wanted to get the work done before my son's wedding. The guy who came to install the tile was very good - reviewing the design with me and making suggestions. He cleaned up every day before he left and even dealt with my dogs being in the way occasionally. I would use them again for tile work.

The men that came to my house were really very nice, and the work they did was very good.

We needed (and still need) the brick portions of the two buildings in our condominium association. After House Doctors did such a great job replacing our gutters last year, we decided to use them again to do our brickwork. Bob was very cooperative with our homeowners association in dividing the job up into smaller portions to keep us within our budget. All our members where impressed with the job they did, including matching the replacement brick to our existing odd sized brick. As I said before, we still have more brick work that needs to be done, and we will ask House Doctors to do if for us next year. A+

I found House Doctors on Angie's List after several other contractors who provided quotes stopped returning my calls. I was not disappointed. Communication with Bob V. is excellent. I called him on the weekend with a minor concern and he quickly called back and answered my questions. No complaints from any other members of my homeowner association.
