Description of Work: The work was not performed. I purchased the offer in September thinking this would scheduled within a few weeks. After contacting them a few times, without a response, I finally received a couple phone calls after 9:00 in the evening from a blocked number. The message stated their next available appointment was in December, which is when the deal expires. I do not think this is a reasonable time frame to schedule a few hours of work and I am requesting a refund. Thank you

Description of Work: Purchased the deal, contacted House Doctors via email with appointment requests. Received call following day, message left regarding to contact them for appointment scheduling. After a bit of "phone tag", did receive a call back, earliest appointment available would be November 24th. Too far out, I need repair completed sooner. Discussed scheduling, she states they have had a lot of appointments scheduled. I did let them know I would probably request a refund at this time.

Description of Work: We had a coupon for $99 for carpentry and was told our window replacement would be covered by it. However, the job required more work than that so the coupon was applied to our rate. The work was done well although cleanup afterwards could have been better. Communication was not the fastest but they were very pleasant to deal with!

Description of Work: Power washed walkway to house and driveway. Worked exactly 2 hours (as contracted for) at a leisurely pace. Unfortunately, worked backwards from the street up the driveway to the walkway to the house; so time ran out before the walkway was thoroughly cleaned. The young man, who drove up in a beater and wore no uniform, was courteous and seemingly tried his best on a very hot day!

Description of Work: I needed some area on the kitchen walls skim coated which they did, but the further along he got the sloppier he got. I had some else come in and do it correctly.

Description of Work: It took about 10 days for the company to respond to my voice mail, and the service was scheduled another six weeks out - it took a long time to get the project done. The equipment they brought was incomplete, they only had two nozzles for the pressure washer, the strongest which will only cover a half inch at a foot (so strong it will drill into wood) and the weakest broadcast generally used for the application of cleaners - in other words, neither of these were right for the job. I loaned them nozzles from my own personal pressure washer along with detergent and a broom, etc. The pressure washer would not start for him either, he must have spent well over a half hour messing with the equipment to get it started. | |They went over two hours that i had paid for, and I fully anticipated this. I figured I would just pay them the same hourly for the added hours. I found out that the extra hours went from approximately $74.00 to $120.00 because they said I paid for a promotion that was discounted only for two hours. What a nice way to re-pay me for using my equipment to save them from taking four times longer because they did not have the proper tools. | |I would not use them again and caution anyone thinking of using them too ask about the rate upfront if you go over the prepaid hours offered online. | |I gave the young guy who did the project a tip because it was not his fault that the company did not have the right equipment and I think he did the best he could under the circumstances - plus he was very respectful and apologized for the issues.

Description of Work: Slow in responding to our initial telephone call as we have used them before. They had been backed up due to all the rain we had back in July. Work was good, they showed up on time, very professional.

Description of Work: Two workmen who were diligent, professional, and efficient fixed a small drywall hole, several scuffed corners, and the entire ceiling of our small half-bath, then cleaned up afterward.

Description of Work: Made some plaster repairs. Went well. Team was very polite and cleaned everything up. Results look good. Had a hard time getting the appointment scheduled. Company originally called the next day after ordering coupon. Had to coordinate my schedule to get a day off so told them I would call back. Took 4 calls to get a call back. Stated they were very busy.

Description of Work: Fixed a hole in my basement bathroom ceiling above the shower with greenboard and repaired hole from prior construction.

Description of Work: We needed to have baseboard molding installed in our living room and dinning rooms as well as around a couple of windows. We also needed to have a soil pipe that sits in the corner wall in the basement enclosed with drywall, and they also did that. I felt he did a very good job, very pleasant to work with and I would use them again.

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for 3 hrs of carpentry work. I attempted to contact Bob and mike (?owners) on SEVERAL occasions back in April when I first purchased the big deal. It wasn't until I threatened to call Angie's List that they actually returned my call. When they finally did, I was able to schedule about 7 wks later. (I was fine with that, just wanted a date before the big deal expired). Then, as out appt time was approaching, I called to confirm our date (needless to say, I was a bit unsure if they were actually going to show up). Again, it was SEVERAL emails and phone calls before Mike returned my call. They did show up on the original appt date, however, they were late (arrived at 1150 for a 1030-1130 appt time). When he got here, he was nice at first and willing to work with our requests (we had a list of several small projects) However, after seeing the work that he did, our house would have been better off if he never came. I am left with lots of touch up work and some areas are worse than before. He also claimed that he would be able to get to everything I asked, but it turns out he really didn't do much of anything.... In 5 hours! I will never use house doctors again.

Description of Work: This was a special deal $99.00 for 3 hr drywall. The one problem I had was when scheduled they never told me I had to supply the material, and of course I had no idea what they needed. It was a small job and the guy that came to do the work had everything so luckily it got done.

Description of Work: I bought a couple of hours of service and Michael did a great job. Very efficient and friendly.
