THE HOUSE DOCTORS MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE A WHOLE TEAM OF 'THIS OLD HOUSE' OR HGTV GUYS THERE TO LEAN ON WHEN THINGS GO WRONG! WE GAVE JIM A LIST OF TASKS IN THE OLD HOUSE - FINISHED THEM ALL IN A FEW HOURS FOR A VERY REASONABLE PRICE. THEN, WE'VE DISCOVERED THE NEW HOUSE COULD BE THE POSTER CHILD FOR THE MOVIE MONEY PIT -- THREE DAYS IN AND THE WASHING MACHINE FLOODS. BOB AND JIM CAME OUT QUICKLY AND ASSESSED THE DAMAGE. THEN THE NEW FRIG DIDN'T FIT - THE WALLS WERE NOT SQUARE...AND A NEW WATER LINE WAS NEED. A WEEK LATER AND ALL IS COMPLETED -- ON TIME AND WITHIN OUR BUDGET. THANK YOU HOUSE DOCTORS!

BOB VECCHIO WAS VERY PROMPT IN RETURNING MY CALL AND WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE TYPE OF BATHROOM REPAIRS I NEEDED TO HAVE DONE--PROBABLY WOULD HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB IF HE COULD HAVE GOTTEN HIS ACT TOGETHER.
Description of Work: THEIR INITIAL RESPONSE TO MY CALL WAS GREAT--TWO HOURS! BUT THEY WOULD NEVER COMMIT TO A SPECIFIC DAY OR TIME TO COME OUT AND GIVE ME A QUOTE FOR THE WORK ON TWO OF MY BATHROOMS--AFTER GETTING THREE PHONE CALLS FROM THEM OVER THE COURSE OF TWO WEEKS IN WHICH THEY APOLOGIZED FOR NOT GETTING TO ME, AND STILL REFUSED TO SET UP A DAY AND TIME TO REVIEW AND QUOTE THE WORK, I GAVE UP ON THEM. THE FOURTH PHONE CALL FROM THEM WAS ON A SUNDAY AND THEY WANTED TO COME OUT ON A MOMENTS NOTICED BUT I HAD ALREADY GIVEN UP AND SCHEDULED SOMEONE ELSE. I CALLED THEM TO SEE HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND SOMEONE OUT. WHEN THE GUY CAME OUT, I SHOWED HIM THE AREA AND I WENT BACK TO MOWING MY LAWN. THE NEXT THING I KNOW, HE HAS THE HOLE CUT, AND COVERED IT WITH PLYWOOD AND WAS GONE, AND THEN THEY SENT ME A BILL. I REALLY WANTED TO KNOW HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST BEFORE HE DID ANYTHING.

FIRST OF ALL; THE HOUSE DOCTORS HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS SINCE 1975 AND IN ABOUT 95% OF THE TIME, WE CHARGE PER JOB RATHER THAN BY THE HOUR.
