The House Doctors

We received a return call from Mike almost immediately, who arranged for some of the outside work to be completed while my husband and I were away for a week. When we returned home the painting had all been complete. From there, over the course of a week, the remaining tasks were finished. All of the guys were very prompt and courteous, and I especially enjoyed Mike's honesty and ability to work with us to make sure that we were 100% satisfied with all of the work that was done.

The paint dripped on the brick and landscape. He did the job in Oct and the paint is flaking off, in big sheets. They painted in the rain.

Very well. Bob gave me several options for completing the job. They did it quickly and hauled everything away. There was no mess to clean up. I never even knew they were there, except that all of the debris was taken away. It was expensive, but this was a job that was too big for me to do on my own.

Bob furnished an estimate, within a day or two of our initial phone call. Work was performed excellently, and clean up was complete. He was pleasant and professional, in all interactions.

It is now 5/31/07 and I still have not heard from him.

My toilet was leaking and I did not know why plus I needed an old floor pulled up so I could install a new floor. I called Bob Vecchio and he assured me he would have it taken care of and he did. It is hard to rate the price because I have nothing to compare it to.

Company failed to replace the wood with fascia board as promised. Company eventually acknowledged mistake and reduced the cost of the repair.

Sent subcontractor to do work which took about 1 1/2 hours.

They answered my call very promptly. Very satisfactory. Professional and did the repairs quickly. I expected a little better of a repair on the gate and it was a little expensive.

We asked for an estimate on tuckpointing and repairing some brickwork that had been messed up by a previous contractor. Mike arrived promptly and, after reviewing the situation, advised us to leave it alone or replace the whole steps (which would be very expensive.) He was honest and open about the work and I appreciated that.

It took them an hour. They did a good job, but the charge was excessive.

Returned calls promptly and gave us an estimate for painting and gutters. We just went with them for the gutters (got better painting prices elsewhere), but their price was great and work was done promptly and neatly.

They were very trustworthy and respectful.

Spoke with owner on the - single phone call. Described work I thought needed to be done. He immediately sent out someone to do a free estimate and called me back within a day or two. I agreed to have the work done. Despite nasty weather, work was done ahead of schedule. Workers completed job during the day. Good clean up. Bill arrived a few days later and the did not exceed their estimate, in fact I'm pretty sure my porch was a freebie - thanks. I will contact again for house painting and other jobs.

Mike opened the ceiling and walls, plastered, sanded, textured, and painted all new work with the matching color paint.

I even purchased the wrong light switch and the electrician came out the following day at no charge. I have high expectations when it comes to work being done at my house. I called The House Doctors on a Sunday (February 2007) and the call was returned within an hour. A plumber met me at my rental unit the very next day to assess the problem and the work was started the day after that. After the first job was completed, I hired them again to repair the main stack (March 2007)and then hired them a third time for the kitchen plumbing (March 2007). The plumber was very professional and did an Excellent job. He even fixed two lights in the basement that needed to be replaced, free of charge! I just had to pay for the materials. I would definitely recommend The House Doctor's and will hire them again in the future. It is very stressful trying to find a contractor especially when it's an emergency situation. You worry that you'll be ripped off and will receive low quality workmanship. At least those were my worries; however, I could not have been more pleased with my decision to hire The House Doctors.

I called and spoke to Bob Vecchio and it was just as easy as that. I explained about the gutter and TV antenna and he said that someone would be out to do the work either that day or the next. There was no complaining about the job being too small. I came home from work the next day and the job was done, and the invoice was in my mailbox. Simple as that.
