The House Doctors

We heard about the housecleaning service and were getting frustrated with our existing service. We checked about scheduling and flexibility regarding supplies (chemical sensitivities). We liked what we heard and tried them. We've worked with them for two years, still love the service we get from them, and increased the number of days we use them.

They did a great job on the caulking and solved the leak problem. Window was completely dry after recent heavy rain. Bob was very responsive and helpful to my initial email. He called me about 5 minutes after I sent him email! They did good work at a great price! I would not hesitate to call them again for just about any repairs.

She is the best cleaner I have ever encountered. She had very reasonable prices and did remarkable work. I will absolutely use her again. I did not have to tell her what to do. She told me what needed to be done and went right to work. It was wonderful.

Ask for a quote. They returned a call quickly. After saying it was beyond or budget they reduced the cost by 14% to meet our budget. They moved up the original work date to accommodate our situation. They work was done very professionally and completed it in a timely manner. My Wife and I were happy with the results.

He arrived on time, took his shoes off without being asked to, worked quickly and cleaned up when done. Overall, he did an excellent job!

The work was efficient and well done. They were very courteous. I would have liked a bit more clean-up but I am very anal about that sort of thing!

Electrician took only about 90 minutes to drill a hole in the wall, run wire, and install a working outlet. He was very efficient and borrowed my broom and dust pan to clean up. The outlet looks like it was always there!

GREAT! I called Mr. Vecchio and explained to him the problem I was having and the crew came the same week and fixed the problem.

They were considerate, polite, easy to work with.

Denean is friendly, easy to talk to, follows directions and asks questions if she doesn't understand. She brings her own supplies but also asks what you like. She will stay as long as she needs to in order to complete the job. She calls the day before and arrives in a timely fashion.

The crew re-pitched the wrong gutter the first time out, apparently it was worse than the one I had identified. They came out a second time and took care of the second one for an additional charge.

They did an excellent job. I've already recommended them to family members. They do great work!

I called The House Doctors in early winter and had an estimate within a few days. Bob called a few days before the work was to be done. Everything went well and the cables work just fine. I was promptly billed for the agreed upon amount. I will have them back to do more work.

I called and spoke with Mr. Vecchio who told me that his son would call that evening to arrange to come by for an estimate. The son did not call me until the next day. We then arranged a time for him to come by and make an estimate. The minutes after the two hour window during which Mike Vecchio was supposed to come by, he called to say that he would not be able to make it. He then arranged another time to come by. On that day, he was prompt, if not early, he spent a few minutes and gave an estimate. He told us that he would call on one of two particular dates to arrange a time to come and do the work. He never called, and we ended up going with another company who was less expensive and more reliable.

We were selling a house that we had lived in and done the work on for the last 13 years. It was pretty good work, but there were some things we thought were just ok. If one of us had been there while the work was being done, it probably would have been more up to our standards.

We had worked with Bob Vecchio before and were very pleased. He was very responsive to our request for installation of this floor and 3 light fixtures in the 2 weeks before Thanksgiving company was arriving. His contractor was prompt on the day scheduled and completed the job that day, cleaning the area thoroughly. The entire job turned out costing more than I had anticipated and Bob was quite responsive to discussing my questions. I felt comfortable bringing it up to him, and very much respected his willingness to explain. Because the bill is not itemized by cost, I had not appreciated the amount of toilet repair/plumbing that had been involved. I feel that the cost was fair for the work, and the excellent service we received.

Bob Vecchio was very responsive to our request for several small jobs in the 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. His electrical contractor called promptly, and scheduled at a time that was convenient for us. He installed all 3 fixtures and the outlet in under an hour, and cleaned up the areas thoroughly.

After electrician came to estimate the work I waited ten days before getting a call with a price. I agreed to the work and was told it would begin in a week. There was no written estimate, and no contract. After several calls, the work was begun roughly two months after promised, but then as an afterthought. The electrician came mid-Saturday morning to begin, but had not brought the cement to set the two patio posts. He took an hour to go get some while his helper waited. They left after setting the patio posts. The electrician came again later the next week, in off-work hours, to start the yard lights. One could not be done and we dropped it from the project. He began work on the other and left at dark after setting the pole. The pole was cut too short, and was loose. The electrician came a couple days later, again after hours, and by the time dark came was not done (we ran into a problem getting power). I have not heard from them since (a month).

Very efficient, pleasant, returned calls promptly, did work within scheduled time and price.

I live in an old house that always has surprises when anything is changed out. The workman assigned to me was Jim Karpi and he has the patience of Job. The wonderful (and expensive) Kohler and Porcher (the upscale line for American Standard) toilet and sink both came with flaws and missing pieces/poor installation instructions. Mr. Karpi called Kohler and had the piece sent to him. I had to call Porcher 4 times (conferencing him in twice) to get the missing piece. He took the frame off the window to install the drywall and he patiently waited for me to paint and paper (he went to another job) and even told me the best way to prep the walls. Since the directions for the sink seemed to be for a different model, he sought outside consultation as to the best way to hang it. He always cleaned up the work site when he left - the mark of a craftsman for me.

They did a good job figuring out how to achieve this in an old home (1916). It was a messy job - their clean up was adequate.

Work was done very neatly and carefully. Accommodated my very tight schedule. I decided to paint at the least minute before having rugs put in. They cut back the old rugs for me to make sure that the baseboard trim would be fully painted. Everything was done very well and according to the schedule promised.

Excellent. The workman (Jim) is friendly, thorough and an excellent handyman. They came when they said they would and were done in a few hours. I wouldn't use anyone else.
