The House Doctors

We hired them to do the work in the winter, so it took a while for them to get started as all of the jobs, especially the painting, required dry weather. We were generally pleased with their work.

Placed call on a Friday morning, and was able to have the repair service performed that evening (even though I wasn't expecting service that quickly)! From the initial phone call, to the completion of the work, I was very pleased with this service provider. I wouldn't hesitate to use The House Doctors again, and will recommend them highly.

It went very well as usual. I've used this company before and they are very responsive. Bob called me back promptly after my initial call and said Rod would call to set up an appointment to come out. Rod came out to the house as promised and did the repair work.

Everything went extremely well. Terrific service. The 10 year old garbage disposal that we had in the house ruptured, and sent water all over the inside of the cabinet and floor. I looked on Angie's List, selected The House Doctors, gave them a call, and they did the replacement on the day after I called, the serviceman arrived exactly on time, did the job in less than an hour. They put in a very comparable garbage disposal (same brand as the old one, high quality), and its performance is perfect. The installer was neat, clean, dressed in a neat uniform, and did the work quickly and cleaned everything up after the installation.

Workman cleaned up after himself. Fair price. Excellent communication and follow-up with customer.

The awning was over a second floor porch. High winds during a storm ripped the awning off the house and dropped it onto the porch. The company replaced siding that had also ripped off and then jacked up the awning (it's probably 10 ft. by 10 ft.) and anchored it more securely to the house.

Two representatives arrived on a Saturday afternoon to look at the job. When I informed them that I would be taking a business trip to Chicago the following week Bob Vecchio called me the next day on a Sunday with the estimate. We discussed my preferences which included replacing the deck boards and removing the bench. This call was followed up by a written estimate of everything we discussed and the agreed price. When I returned home the floor boards of the deck had already been replaced. I was also traveling 3 days the following week and when I returned home from the second trip the lattice repairs were completed. My interactions with the company although limited as a result of my travel schedule were very professional and friendly in tone. I appreciated that the work was done without interfering with my work related travel schedule. The area was left neat and clean when the work was completed.

A gentleman name Bob called and said it would be $55.00 an hour to do what I would like done. Too expensive for me.

I was somewhat disappointed that they had come to the house without a disposal even though I had given Bob the owner the information from my current model. The serviceman were polite but had arrived quite a bit later than I had anticipated. They were able to reset it immediately but when it restarted, the vibration apparently caused a stress crack on the fitting, and it began to leak. So, they did end up having to replace the disposal. They did not have a disposal, and had to go purchase one. Once they came back the intallation went quickly.

We set up the whole thing over the phone. It was complete before I got home from work, on the day we set it up for. He did a great job and I am very satisfied with the work.

The estimate was done in a timely manner by two professional employees and the owner called back in a timely manner to provide the estimate. The price was comparable to others from whom we requested quotes. When I asked for an estimate in writing, the owner refused stating that they were busy and his oral estimate was firm. We declined his offer because we do not do business without a written agreement.

They were very nice. Three nice guys showed up and did the work. I was very satisfied with the job and the price they charged me. They were prompt and courteous and hopefully I'll find out today in our thunderstorms if it worked. A+!

Our kitchen was drab, dark, and dated; but now, thanks to the House Doctors, it's bright, cheerful, and efficient. The water-damaged ceiling, stubborn wallpaper border, and dirty laminate counters were taken down. Recessed, track, and under-counter lighting, solid-surface counters, floor, and backsplash went in. Much prep work ensued before many coats of paint could go on ceiling, walls, and trim. They even got our doorbells working again! The House Doctors' attention to detail, and the floor and tile installers' perfectionism assured us of a superb result. Any concerns were dealt with quickly and professionally to our total satisfaction. Thanks Bob, Mike, and the entire team! We love our new kitchen!

We had a list of violations to correct in our house. Searched Angie's List and called The House Doctors, among others. We live out of town at the moment, and are renting the home that used to be our primary residence. Mike Vecchio called me back immediately, I emailed him our list of violations, and he gave a prompt and clear estimate for the work that needed to be done. He even sent a paper estimate via mail for our records, and assured us we wouldn't spend a penny more. They did the work quickly and within the time frame we discussed, when our tenants would be out of town and would not need to use the garage or driveway. Mike was easy to reach when I had questions and always very friendly and professional. Mike did more work on the steps than we had discussed, without changing the price. We have not seen the work done yet, but feel confident from our communications that Mike and Bob have high standards and a professional team.

The House Doctors scheduled the repair immediately, diagnosed the problem with the pole lamps, and got them working again. They were fast, efficient, and very reasonably priced.

Very well! They did all the work while I was away. They cleaned very nicely. They even did a side of the house I had wanted to do originally but decided to wait on to save money; they just included that as a good gesture because they were there. I had been unclear about how I wanted the side doorstep cemented, and when I called Bob after his workers had left, without hesitation he sent someone back to do just what I had asked. So I am very happy with the work!

Excellent. Returned initial call within one day, out to fix within 1 week, repair works well.

They did an A+ job. Very good work.

The work took just a few hours they cleaned up after themselves. They had to replace more wood than they planned at no extra charge.

We told the company the size of the snake we used initially to fix the problem. When the plumber arrived he bought the same size snake we used. Therefore, he had to come back the following evening with a bigger snake. We were a bit unhappy at what seemed to be a lack of communication between the plumber and the company. In spite of this, we were very pleased with the plumber. He arrived when he said he would and he stayed until the job was done. He did an excellent job.

Old gutters were removed. New seamless gutters were installed. Great job. They were swift and professional.

Work was completed when they said it would be completed and the quality of the work was exceptional. All workers were very friendly and helpful.

It went very well, a very simple repair and the 2 guys they sent out were very polite and even took closer looks at the porch to make sure nothing else was wrong. Reattached the face board and that was it; almost too easy.

It went great! I called Mr. Bob Vecchio and told him what the problem was and he sent the plumber to my home the same day. The problem was fixed that same day. Mr Vecchio told me that the plumber would arrive at my home between 3:00-4:00 PM and the plumber arrived promptly at 3:00 PM.

They never really set up a time to come out. They just showed up one day and started working. It took them 6 months to complete. They accused the weather and scheduling conflicts. The would come in one day, do a few windows, leave, and then not return for months. I argued with him about the price since it was higher than what he had quoted. The finally billed I received was not detailed and didn't mention anything about how long there where or the work they did. I would not recommend them to anyone.
