The House Doctors

I have used them before and their price seemed to be fair. Three men came for the job, including the owner of the company. They are extremely honest and only tell you the things they need, they don't include unnecessary extras. I would highly recommend them. They were as wonderful this time as they were last time. As a single woman, I need people who I can trust in my house. This company continues to garner my trust.

He did a good job and also cleaned up once the job was done. He was professional, responsive and punctual. His pricing was reasonable as well. The quality of his work was good and I was satisfied with his service.

I called the House Doctors, they returned my call, came out and gave me an estimate. I had an unexpected emergency, and wasn't able to go ahead with the project at that time. About a month later I called them again and they were able to fit me in the very next day, I was more than please with their quick response, and the quality of service they provided.

The crew obtained a permit, removed the porch screens/panels, door, corner support post, trim, flooring and rotted floor joists and arranged for trash removal (basically, they demolished most of the porch except for the roof and brick foundation). They sistered the old joists (where needed) with PTL and replaced the tongue-in-groove flooring, replaced the old corner support with a 6x6 PTL post, replaced the old face boards, replaced the old lightweight screen panels with heavier ones that actually added some structural support to the roof (and didn't look any more "massive" than the originals), slightly redesigned the panels to allow better water runoff during rains, installed a new door (centering it over a set of steps I had installed a few years ago), screened everything in and painted all the new wood to match the original color with high-grade Sherwin Williams paint. While trash was being hauled and paint was drying on the porch, the crew did the soffit replacement and tuckpointing. No time was wasted-- these guys worked their tails off for the entire week it took to do the job.

Despite a couple of surprise set-backs encountered while power washing and covering the windows prior to painting, Joe and his son, Doug, finished painting the house both on time and beautifully. Joe's good humor was challenged, but never faltered, even through scorching 90 degree weather, bats flying at him and hornets attacking him. I'm sure painting the exterior of my home will be a source of stories for everyone at The House Doctors for years to come! My hats off to all of them--they did a fantastic job.

Everything went smoothly. Two men, Mike and Mark, came precisely at the scheduled time. After looking at the ceiling, Mike left and Mark did most of the work. Mike came back later. Since I was on the 2nd floor most of the time, I hardly noticed that they were here. The work was finished around 2:00. Mark took a lunch break in between.

There was a brief storm that caused some large tree limbs to fall on the roof directly over the wires to the house. I called Bob Vecchio and within a couple of hours his men came, cleaned away the tree limbs and debris and checked for damage. It was a wonderful experience to be attended to so promptly and professionally. I, once again, thank Bob for taking such good care of us.

They have come out and done several things for us over time. They are very good with their work and clean up well.

I needed the gutters replaced along back line of my house. When Bob called me to give an estimate for the gutters, he told me that he noticed that there was moss/mold growing on my brick patio. (which was absolutely true!) So in addition to replacing the gutter, they power-washed the patio! The gutter looks great and so does the patio. The work was done promptly and, as always, the yard/work area was spotless...no material was left behind.

Recently had a flood in the basement and the aftermath wasn't pretty! The House Nurses came in and deep cleaned and sanitized the rec.room, bathroom and storage areas beautifully. This included floors, walls, ceilings and all surfaces. They worked quickly and completely. I was impressed and relieved that everything was taken care of so well! I highly recommend this company.

The House Doctors cleaned and repaired crumbled tuckpointing on deep window wells of our home. Even cleaned out some moss that had heavily accumulated. Repaired area between lower jamb of backdoor and outside step. Screen replacement of patio door was done on the spot. Very professional work and good job cleanup.

House Doctors have been great to work with and very responsive. They arrived at our house for the estimate and for the actual cleaning exactly when scheduled. We have been very pleased with their cleaning services - it is so nice to come home to a clean house! The parties we have dealt with have all been pleasant and professional. They have even recommended certain cleaning products that would be more effective to use in our home - and then left those products here for us to use between their cleaning appointments. Very nice touch!

On very short notice this crew came in and cleaned house, literally! They made that old house shine like it hasn't in years. Most impressive was their ability to organize and get rid of clutter, without throwing anything away.

I liked pretty much everything. They did a good job with changing the service boxes too. However, I wasn?t pleased with the fact that the estimate was more expensive than what I expected. The guys who came out were very professional and did a good job. I have since learned (the hard way) that the installation of the gutter heaters was completely wrong. They did not extend the cable down to the ground level in the downspouts (which is what the specs call for), the height of the peaks on the cable were about 1/3 too short. As a result of these 2 issues, I had to have the whole thing redone. I won't be going back to them for anything.

The House Doctors worked with our tenants (this is a rental) and the insurance company so that we did not have to be there. The work was done quickly and professionally. The new ceiling looks great!

Rod did exactly what he said he was going to do- He was on time, finished earlier than estimated, and caused minimal damage to do the job. I am very pleased with the results. It looks very neat and well done. Their estimate was lower than others I looked into. It was exactly what I wanted, and I would recommend them to others.

House Doctors had just painted my house (beautifully!) last fall, and during the winter we had ice dam damage, causing huge icicles to pour down through our walls and out through the slats of the siding. The dirt from inside our walls melting into the ice caused dark stains on our brand new (beautiful) exterior paint. There was also significant interior paint damage where the ice dam was the worst. Sigh. House Doctors was very responsive, even helping negotiate (at great pain) with my reluctant insurance company. Bob and the House Doctors really went to bat for us! They did a beautiful job repairing the paint, and they were friendly and professional. I'm a House Doctors fan and have already recommended them to family and friends.
