 + 0 moreThe paint job looks great and the price was very reasonable. I have had The House Doctors do several projects on my house and will continue to use them. The owner Bob, and his son Mike, are prompt and professional, and to date I am very happy with the work performed.
Description of Work: Mike and his crew stripped, primed, and painted (doulbe coat) the outside of my kitchen pop-out. They even did a gratis touch-up around my side door which was a nice surprise.

 + 0 moreI was amazed. My first e-mail to them was on Wednesday. Email was returned that evening. We spoke on phone around 10:00 a.m. on Friday, and negotiated and agreed on a price. I requested work be finished within two weeks. Around 4:30 p.m. the same day I got a call the work was finished! The bill arrived a day or two later and payment sent back immediately. The work and yard appeared clean and neat. This cost a little more than I initially hoped to pay, but was really worth it. What amazing customer service (like I haven't seen in a long time). I would use them again -- and probably will one day.
Description of Work: Gutters cleaned, downspouts snaked out, seams sealed (one corner of one gutter resecured).

 + -1 moreThe son came out and addressed me by my first name. I was upset with that. Then when the estimate was complete I thought the price was very high. There was some work in the garage and I was going to have it painted and when I changed my mind, he took $1000.00 off the whole estimate.

Description of Work: We noticed a dead limb about 40 feet up that stretched into the neighbors yard. I emailed Bob, he sent someone out that day to estimate the job, they came and completed it the next day. Description of Work: The house nurses responded with an emergency crew to help clean up after extensive home repairs by another company left dust and filth in every corner of our home. Our house was uninhabitable and we moved into a hotel until the house nurses came to help clean inch by inch and make it possible for us to move back in. Lori is a non-stop hard worker, very pleasant, and with a wonderful can-do attitude. The crew came four times, and now the house is a home again. Thank you house nurses

 + -1 moreThey prepared the house for painting by hand-scraping every inch, a HUGE job because it was peeling badly. They then did a terrific job of painting the base and trim. They did a side at a time so I could see the progress and it didn't look awful any longer than necessary. They were also incredibly responsible about keeping the gate across my driveway closed when they went to the garage for supplies; that gate protects my dogs and I really appreciated their care and concern. They were also terrific when the dogs were outside, very sweet with them. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done. Overall, the work was high quality and the experience was pleasant on every level, from contact with the management to each day with the painters. I highly recommend this company for exterior house painting.

 + 0 moreThis was a great experience. I knew that this project would be expensive so I had put it off for a while until I could save the money for it. When I called Mike he came over as scheduled and gave me an assessment of the situation, the possible complications, and an estimate that was lower than one I had received several years ago. I asked if we could put off the job until the end of the summer and he agreed. The work took about a week, and included flue replacement, which he had warned me could occur. He showed me the old flues but indicated that he was able to reuse several others. The cleanup was amazing - you would never know they had been there! Mike made a job that I had been dreading painless and easy.

I called several companies for estimates on having the basement cleaned (concrete floor and concrete block walls) and the House Doctors' prices blew every other company away. They did a great job and the basement is back in working order again.
Description of Work: The sewer backed up in to my basement and there was standing water in the basement. Once the water was drained I needed the area cleaned. The house doctors cleaned, disinfected and deodorized the basement and walls and all items that were on the floor at the time of the flooding.

 + 6 moreMike Vecchio and crew was terrific. Mike generally called on Sun evening when the work was actively going on to let me know the schedule and to check in. As mentioned above, the first roofer I had scheduled to repair the flat roof over the sunroom was unable to do the work due to over-scheduling. The House Doctors did it, and for a couple hundred dollars less than the first guy. Then...unfortunately, as they were re-plastering the sun room, another water leak occured due to an ice dam. They gave me a recommendation for someone to repair the tile roof and chimney, which worked out well. Since it was now winter, we had to wait until spring to finish the job. They returned as soon as possible. The House Doctors worked with me on their price. In spite of them having to do some work over (not their fault!), the price was very fair. I definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: Exterior - Painted garage and replaced entry door and lock. Remounted gutter and cleaned others. Caulked and painted various windows, fascia and underhang boards.  + 0 moreThe electrician replaced old broken lights around my house, using ones that are dusk to dawn, give off a low level of light and then brighter with motion. It makes my house a lot safer.The electrician used coach lights in the front of the house. I found that I liked the function of the back lights more. I asked if they would change the front lights again to something similar to the back lights, but appropriate for the front of the house. They changed it without extra charges, just based on my preference. It was great to be able to have the work done they way I wanted it. It looks good and is very functional.

 + -1 moreI left a message for Bob at 3:15, and he returned my call the same night. Rod, the electrician, came out the next morning and finished the electrical work. Two other employees came the following day to do the rest of the work to make my recreation room a finished room. When the company I originally hired stopped returning my phone calls and stopped doing the remaining work (over a two month or more period during which I repeatedly tried to reach them), I was so stressed out that when I called Bob, he detected my stress and frustration. Within 24 hours of my call to Bob, my rec room was completely finished. It was amazing! They were great.
Description of Work: They responded immediately to help me out when another company who was remodeling my basement didn't finish the job. Bob's employees finished installing 2 electrical fixtures and covering electrical outlets, installed a doorknob in the new door, cut out a rotting doorsill and replaced it with a new one, painted it, and repaired cracks in the nearby cement so water wouldn't get in to rot out the new wood. They also hauled away the trash remaining from the other company.

Even though the project took longer, the House Doctor did not increase the price and did not take short cuts. Instead, the company focused on creating a quality product. I even saw the foreman order his workers to reinstall a small piece of siding because it did not look right. What impressed me the most was that the foreman took this action on his own; the piece they replaced looked fine to me. The quality control that House Doctor used on my project was outstanding. The workers were clean, courteous, and professional and their work looks fantastic. I highly recommend this company for any siding, soffit, or exterior project.
Description of Work: House Doctor completed soffit work on my home in Cleveland Heights. In addition, the company replaced a significant amount of exterior wood that was rotten.

His workers came by and went straight to work. They were all very nice and friendly. They explained everything to my husband and I and answered any questions we had. They did an excellent job putting up the fence. They removed all of the debris and left the yard just as they had found it. I would definitely like to hire them for future jobs.
Description of Work: The House Doctors removed and hauled away the old (4) sections of old fence and the posts. They furnished and installed a total of (4) 4x4 fence posts; cemented into the ground. They also furnished and installed (4) sections of wood picket fence; and constructed a section of fence that would act as a gate attached to our garage.

 + 0 moreThe fact that I had to call back to have the ends completed correctly because wood was exposed was bad enough. When the same section of siding blew off in the next severe storm and House Doctor refused to warranty the completed work that was the last straw. As I explained to Bob Vecchio I can not afford to pay for the same repairs every time we have a storm. I paid an additioanl $100 to another company to have the work completed correctly. I am extremely disappointed. I thought I had found someone reliable to complete repairs at my home and even recommended them to others.
Description of Work: Rehung 2 pieces of aluminum siding wrapping flapping in the wind from storm damage for $89.50. Agreed to return to replace the damaged siding and replace other siding wrapping for an additional costs. After the work was completed I emailed pictures showing the difference in the way 2 ends of one section were completed and they returned again to correct the work after which I paid the entire amount in approximately June. After another storm August 10, the original section of siding that blew off in April blew off again. When I questioned if the siding was securely fastened I was told "we secure things stronger than original and I would be charged again to repair the damage". However, the only siding that blew off was the section that had been repaired by House Doctors. I had the siding repaired by someone else who is in the siding business. He explained the bottom edge was not fatened correctly allowing the wind to get under the siding and that finishing nails were used instead of a nail with a larger head that would hold the siding in wind.
