Description of Work: The painters caulked a troublesome window that was leaking. Then they prepped and painted 5 windows on the side of the house, 3 on the front and six shutters. They caulked and glazed as needed. They painted two coats on each of the shutters.

Description of Work: I used The House Doctors through the Angieslist Big Deal for power washing.

Description of Work: The services performed included improving a delapidated garage that needed new windows, side door as well as the frames which were rotted and interior replacement of baseboards and ceiling panels as well as replacing several exterior wood siding pieces. They also painted the garage and its trim at completion and repaired a severely cracked concrete garage floor. The price also included painting and touching up the back of the house on the first floor. The gutters were cleaned, dripping bathroom faucet was fixed, wing walls in front of the house were painted, the deck was restained and a damaged board replaced. I also had one side of a wooden gate that was inconveniently placed, divided in half and hinged to fold in on itself. An interior door was restained to match another door that is near to it in the room.

Description of Work: I use this service regularly for house cleaning, every two weeks. I have used cleaning services on and off for over 25 years. They are the best! They will do what I ask. If I want windows cleaned and nothing else one week, they will do that. If I want them to concentrate on bathrooms on another visit, they will do that. They are totally flexible. And do an excellent job. Sometimes they will see something that needs cleaning that has slipped by me. And so they will ask: should we do such and such? and we'll discuss it and then they will proceed. I am sticking with this company!!

Description of Work: Bob Vecchhio sent his colleague, Robert, to fix my toilet. The flush mechanism had broken, the shut-off valve to the toilet was broken, and my sink drain needed clearing. After fixing the toilet, Robert also helped me with a couple of heavy-lifting household chores I couldn't do myself (hanging pictures, flipping the mattress).

Description of Work: Replaced left porch column - 1x wrap wood, crown and base trim. Replaced front right porch column base trim. Caulked in and painted all the new work.

Description of Work: We used The House Nurses to prepare a condo for sale. The condo had recently been cleared out but it needed to have an overall cleaning, including windows, bathrooms, cabinets, and appliances.

Description of Work: We had them do a small gutter repair job at a rental property that we own in University Heights.

Description of Work: Ice guard was extended 4 feet from gutter line along back of house, the whole house was power washed and a broken window was replaced in my back door.

Description of Work: The front and back door bell was replaced including the transformer, chime kit & 2 buttons The front bedroom window was replaced with a custom ordered vinyl double hung window. A basement light fixture was replaced.

Description of Work: I was having problems with my gutters overflowing with water (like Niagara Falls) when we had heavy rain. Even after the rain had stopped, I had problems with the gutters dripping slowly. I had the gutters cleaned out last fall, so I didn't think that was the problem. I wanted to know what the problem was and how to fix it. Bob Vecchio sent out two men to check out the gutters. They cleaned out what little there was in the gutters, but they found that my downspout elbows were clogged. They cleaned them out and flushed out the downspouts. It's continued to rain, but my problem is gone.

Description of Work: I called Bob Vecchio in a panic. Although I had had my basement waterproofed 3 years ago, I had problems with my basement flooding 3 times. The waterproofing guarantee didn't cover it because they said it was storm sewer backup. With lots more rain in the forecast, I panicked. I told Bob about my problem, and he sent a plumber here within a couple of days. The plumber cleaned up the newspapers I had thrown on the floor to soak up the water and mopped down the muddy floor. He snaked out the storm sewer line and said all he got out of it was mud. At least I know that line is clear. The next step is to get the city to be sure their storm drain next to my property is cleaned out. While he was here, I had him look at my bathtub faucet, which was stuck in the up position for the shower. When the faucet was turned on, water came out of the shower head. He knew the problem, got the new faucet. and replaced it. Now it works perfectly, and it wasn't the major expensive repair I expected. I also asked him to check a spot under my toilet tank where I was getting water dripping. The nut and bolt were loose, so he tightened it. Fast service and three problems fixed in one visit. What more could I ask?

Description of Work: We have 6 stone exterior steps with brick risers and wing-walls. 2 levels of risers were caving in; these were replaced with new brickwork. The wing-walls had numerous stress cracks, which were filled in. The tops of the wing-walls consist of more brick-work in contrasting color of brick. These needed tuckpointing, which another contractor had done, but the previous work did not match the existing mortar and so didn't meet our city's code. This mortar was all removed and re-done using a better color-match. The entire stairway, wing-walls and all (except the top contrasting brick), was then repainted in the colors it originally had. This wasn't an exact match, but it's close enough. Two downspouts required mortaring to the ground openings also. There was a step in the walkway that needed sealant between it and the walkway. Previous contractor had done this but it wasn't even; this was removed and redone.

Description of Work: House Nurses cleans my home every other week. The schedule is set up in advance and if I need to reschedule, there is never a problem. Very outgoing and courteous workers. I have a big dog, who can be overly friendly. They are very comfortable around him and I am fortunate that he does not need to be locked up during their cleaning. I have an old large home that requires lots of care. House Nurses takes great care with my marble and granite floors, as well as the hardwood and carpeted floors. The kitchen and bathrooms always look great after the cleaning! I provide a detailed list of what needs to be done. They follow this and go beyond.
